as they say, you have to settle for being a public employee when you are not able to work for a private company.
and for a civil engineer, there are +/- 2 trillion better options than the falkland islets government.
    loser.

''and for a civil engineer, there are +/- 2 trillion better options than the falkland islets government.''

No. Not if you're from the Falklands. This is the bit you don't understand. Try harder.
Many people settle for less money and fewer opportunities because they want to live in the Falklands.

My gosh number 1 you are rather sour. You are right though, I suspect Colin could be “out there” earning really big bucks but what you are missing is the fact that he is a Falkland Islander. He is home. He wants to be here and help take his country forward. Good on the lad.

This appointment shows that the Falkland Islands can offer a route through education and career progression. Investment is rewarded by loyalty. Great to see that Mr Summers in this role, adding to the ongoing development of the Islands and being able to provide for his family in a safe, secure and beautiful environment.
    Good News all round.
(and easy to ignore the jealous sniping from embittered fools from Argentina, haha!, must be those 'sour grapes they keep talking about).

Wishing you all the best Colin!

    1 Pablo CabanaBoy

    LOL...
Why don't you “opine about something you might know something about.... ” !!

    Pablo,
at least HE has a job! Not like you.

And... a job he will enjoy and give him great satisfaction, too.

Did you notice, he talks about Social Responsibility, and “giving back to the community” that gave him an education???

That's what responsible, mature people do.

But... back to you in Argentina- please “opine” on something in your realm of surreal altered reality.

The political fabric of your country is about to be torn wide open by the AMIA coverup by CFK and the murder of a very high- ranking Federal Prosecutor and Patriot.

    How about,
    - telling us how the demonstrators in your streets are feeling about the 'convenient' sudden death of Nisman?

    - how do people feel about CFK right now??

    - do they want to know the truth about who was responsible for the deaths of 65 Argentine citizens in 1994, and why the perpetrators were let off the hook??

Surely that should interest you more??

Yep, that's our own Pablo CabanaBoy, alright!

He sh!ts on everyone, disrespectful, rude - a real pig!

have a look at one of the reasoned replies to him by “Robert”, an informed gentleman by comparison to Pablo the kid.
“Robert__ replied to Pablo Cedron's comment on Argentinian president accused of covering up details about the country's worst terrorist attack.17 Jan 2015 3:51pm 2
Oh dear ... The difference being, the fascists in Argentina were killing their own people. There was no war with a foreign power, it was political 'cleansing' of any opposition to the fascists. Britain was the 'inventor' of the industrial revolution and so built the first and biggest of the industrial trade nations and employed their military and navy in the bloody work of empire building, much as Argentina in a smaller way was expanding by exterminating its natives and having wars with its neighbours and absorbing their territory. As to committing 'the most atrocious war crimes in history' and then citing Dresden and the Boer war , that is hyperbole and illustrates your anti British sentiment quite clearly. Many thousands of your own citizens parents were responsible for the implementation of the Final Solution in Europe, only 30 years before your own home grown political genocide. Argentina is not all crap, the food was mainly bland badly cooked boring crap and the flag waving malvinas stuff was a bit tiresome.”

Pablo Cedron also posts on The Guardian 'comment' sections as ' PabloRG'.
Possibly because Pablo Cedron got banned?

Colin did work in the UK for many years and came back to the islands about 18 months ago. So we all already know he is capable of holding his own in the “big world” but why wouldn't he want to come home again? Of course he would.

Paul (or is it Pablo?) seems to think that Colin is working here for peanuts. Well maybe he is, maybe he isn't but it's all relative. I know more or less what he'll be on and you can live very comfortably in the islands for that amount and indeed much less.

The PWD and the community will be in good hands with Colin in control and that's nothing against Manfred who also did a very good job. In many ways it's a thankless job. When everything is going as it should nobody notices but when the roads get a bit rough or a job runs a little over, all of a sudden the islands are populated by 3,000 civil engineers.

Sorry, I just couldn't resist it! I really, really wish he would come to the Islands to meet you: I would pay real money to watch what happened next. You don't have an MRI scanner yet, do you? He'd need one after meeting you!

    18 genetic aberration
the sad thing about you, you genetic aberration, is that you are not a teenager or a 20 something, but an old fart of 68 yo.
life did not treat you very well, no?

    not a surprise, though.
with that level of intelligence slightly lower than a slug, and that appearance exactly like a slug, you cannot expect too much, can you?

PenguinCedron obviously has no concept nor experience of strong, intelligent women. First he offers a date, and when rebuffed he resorts to insults.
How inadaquate of him. I expect he has serious insecurity issues around women.
No need for the dogs Isolde, he would probably run from a gerbil or two.....

“PenguinCedrone” - good one, I'll use it if you don't mind?

It's easy for the gangley spotty adolescent bed wetter to puff out his hollow chest - 1000 miles away in BA.

If Isolde do much as touched his hand, he'd probably inadvertently splooge immediately, like an excited monkey!

Likewise, a brief withering glance, would smite his self-esteem enough to give him feelings of inadequacy and erectile dysfunction, to last a lifetime.

I suppose he makes it sound much different when he brags to the other kids ho've never seen a girl naked.

problem is that isolde, like you and the rest of the isleters, english and english wannabes of this 4th class site, must be a ultra heavy fat of 30 stone with brown teeth.

i strongly doubt that any of you can be attractive to any normal human being, except to the other isleters maybe.
    yuck.

Good thing Pablo doesn't want to travel to the islands as I doubt a burning tyre barbeque would impress.

Well done Colin for putting your people before money-you are many times more educationally qualified than CFK (but then again who isn't).

Notice that Malbec shite has been advertised on the TV for about £4.

No thanks to that cocktail of herbicides, Elderberry Wine is better and costs 25p a bottle to make.
