TMBOA pisses on everybody outside of her little cabal.

She will take no notice of these people, neither will Gollum.

There are a quarter of a million Argentine Jews and they are both politically as well as economicly powerful.
Not a group you want to have against you...

Timerman is a disgrace to his family and his religion.

    Mr. Chicureo

    Please inform yourself...

    1) The two Jewish organizations mentioned above (DAIA & AMIA) have changed radically during the past 30 years and today they only represent about 5% of the Argentinean Jews...

    2) What does a retired right wing Chilean naval officer know about what an who constitutes a disgrace for the Jewish religion?

With respect THINK, Jacobo Timerman's son is most likely up to his neck in complicity of this scandal.

(A minor correction by the way, I remain as a reserve officer. I have not retired officially and although fairly inactive, retain my rank.)

If Jacobo's boy (or Mme. Kirchner) are, in any way, found responsible for the death of Mr. Nisman, I will change my nick to...: “Think, an old useless Turnip that can't Think”... and slowly glide in oblivion...

But..., If somehow it is proven, within reason, that Hector & Cristina are innocent, You will “Think” twice before allowing yourself to be so blatantly manipulated...

Has anyone posting here said Hector or Christina ordered the murder of Nisman?

I do Think some were supporting the suicide theory until CFK changed her mind.

“If somehow it is proven, within reason, that Hector & Cristina are innocent, ” LOL! 'within reason”, not completely. An important distinction because I doubt anyone would refer to CFK as completely innocent in the grand scheme of things.

    @ 6 Lunatic
“Jacobo Timerman's son is most likely up to his neck in complicity of this scandal.”

Complicity has may shades, Lunatic: it does not mean they murdered him because clearly neither of them have the balls to do anything themselves, never mind murder.

The scenario where his murder was discussed in front of these two arseholes IS believable and by saying nothing they would be complicit in his death. But we all know the truth of this matter will also die with Nisman.

I should change your nick without delay to “The Lying Lunatic NOT of Chubut”. It fits you perfectly.

Bahahahaha, Think! It obvious to even the lowliest knuckle dragger that TMBOA and her cohort ARE directly or indirectly the only persons responsible for Nisman's death. He was just about to finger her and Gollum and whether they arranged it, or whether with or without their knowledge someone else did, that reason was undoubtably the motive for the killing or his suicide.

So… oblivion open up for one prize turnip right now… . (by the way oblivion, don't get excited!)

@3. Hey ho, Twinky Poo, dragged yourself up from the depths of senile dementia, have you? Not far enough. Still senile, still demented.

Your proof that DAIA & AMIA only represent about 5% of the Argentinean Jews? What's that word 'about'? Is 95% 'about' 5%?

Do you 'Think' that an argie peronist supporter of murder should be criticising anyone?

How do you get to be so presumptuous as to use the word 'think' for your monicker when you so obviously don't?
@6. Sorry, we need you to do something better. Never mind gliding slowly into oblivion. I'm sure you have a suitable camera purchased with the money paid to you by the criminal conspiracy called the 'government'. Arrange for a video, to be posted on youtube, showing you re-enacting Nisman's murder. Live ammunition, mind! If you successfully shoot yourself through the head, the pool of blood, the position of the dropped weapon are close to the Nisman scene AND you're dead, we might admit you could have been right.
@7. Yes, Elaine, I did. It doesn't matter what the route of the 'instruction' was. Consider. Normal investigative approach. Who benefits? The Iranians? But Kirchner & co were already protecting them. Who could give an order for a murder? Timerman? With his incompetence, he would probably have arranged for himself to be killed. Kirchner is the only suspect. Means, motive and opportunity. Who's the head of government? There's means. Motive? About to be revealed as a corrupt criminal that would completely lose power, stolen money and any chance of getting out of prison. Opportunity? A bit foolish of Mr Nisman. He should have spent that night with friends in a secure house. Or perhaps an unidentifiable hotel with major security. Perhaps he should have flown out and spent the weekend in the U.S?

I haven't heard all the evidence (most of which is disappearing rapidly anyway) but there are two scenarios that seem quite possible.

    1) CFK and Timerman implied they wanted this whole thing to go away and one of their rabid supporters did it but very badly. So badly that the original plan of claiming it was suicide had to be revised quickly. Hence CFK being absolutely sure of suicide and then not.

They have been very quick to rubbish the evidence against them, rather than showing any respect for a dead man. Who knows what evidence was tampered with in the missing 8 hours.

    2) This:

”Nisman legally owned two guns, but the one found right next to his body wasn’t his. In fact, it belonged to “an assistant and friend” named Diego Lagormarsino, who immediately came forward to say he owned the firearm.

According to Lagomarsino, Nisman himself asked to borrow the gun “for safety reasons”. Lagomarsino says the prosecutor told him he had been contacted by the former head of the Secretariat of Intelligence (SI) Antonio Stiusso, who warned him “not to trust his security detail” and “make sure his daughters were safe”.

Stiusso, you may recall, was relieved of his post by Cristina a month ago after a shake up that was largely interpreted as a power struggle within the SI. The President replaced him with former presidential secretary Oscar Parrilli, a man she trusted”

SIDE or SI is fragmented and powerful. It has a load of money and is unaccountable to anyone. They claim the 'agents' feeding Nisman information were not on the government books. Well, there are no books. Spies don't appear on any books.

It could just be that this was arranged to implicate the government in revenge.

Either way, CFK looks bad and is probably very scared.

Nisman's famous “denonciation” of Cristina was in fact 385 pages filled with innuendo, falsehoods and wiretaps done by the intelligence services.
    1. It talks about two intelligence agents who were NOT members of the services.
    2. It talks about Argentina seeking the end of Interpol's red alerts against Iranian suspects. Interpol has denied that Argentina had EVER done such request.
    3. It says the motive to let Iran out of the loop was to improve trade by exchanging grains by Iran oil. Not a drop of Iranian oil ever made it to Argentina.
It follows that the Argentina government was the first interested in having Nisman go answer questions from opposition and pro-government legislators, scheduled one day after his untimely death.
If most of those posting above want to speak against the Argentina government, please do so but learn some facts at least instead of just keeping your old, tired ranting.

Are we to believe that you have already read the 385 pages of his report and understood all the references to all the parties involved and who they are?

Are we to believe that you are qualified to competently analyse what was written, and have cross-referenced each entry to verify or positively dismiss what is written?

It sounds like you are now reading from the second, revised, version of government diversion propaganda.

How are you privileged to have all this documentation available to you, when the case still supposedly being actively investigated??

I don't think the media or the public are fully privy to that, or it would have been printed.

CFK's gov. went from insistently condemning Nisman as a mentally-ill traitor, with a vendetta against CFK, to now saying he was a noble man of integrity who was misled by the mysterious “conspirators” against CFK, who ultimately murdered Nisman!

    On the other hand,

There was a direct threat to CFK and her Presidency, and Timerman looked like he would be exposed publicly as well, as traitor to his religion, and the 85 Argentine citizens murdered by terrorists.

We know that Nisman had 10 “bodyguards” from the Security Force that had conflicted loyalties to the State Judiciary vs CFK's Government.

Nisman had 2 of his own guns, but was killed by another gun belonging to someone else. Why would he “borrow” another gun?

The Security Force did not investigate his 'failure to answer' for 8 hours.

He had stated clearly and loudly that over 10 years he and his 30 man team, had collected clear evidence, enough to implicate Timerman and CFK directly in a coverup.

The day before PUBLIC testimony, he was murdered.

The people in the street are demonstrating in the thousands because they have drawn the intelligent conclusion that Nisman was murdered on CFK's behalf.

    Justice for Nisman!!

    THINK,
I'm nearly certain that Timerman has nothing to do with Nisman's murder. I still think he's a disgrace, but he's not stupid.
It makes no logical sense for the Argentinian government to have caused this worldwide outrage.
After a lot of thought, I cannot imagine CFK would allow herself to be involved, but she's hard to understand. Was she really expecting to get away with eliminating him testifying?

So, the journalist from the Buenos Aires Herald that broke the story in a tweet has had to flee the country.

““My phones have been wiretapped,” he tells me, while explaining that he had to leave the Herald’s newsroom in a hurry without even telling his superiors that he had to go dark. His car is now abandoned at the Herald’s parking lot. He didn’t want to take the time to retrieve it.

“Ever since this whole thing started, a close source that I’ve trusted for years and knows their way around the intelligence world started hinting that things were bad. I don’t know when they started following me. I’m not going to say anything yet, but I can say that I received a message from the Government that I understood was targeting me. I later found out I was right”.”

    http://www.bubblear.com/damian-pachter-left-the-country-after-fearing-for-his-life-this-is-what-he-told-me/

““I had confirmation today,” he adds. “They told me to leave because they were after me”. And so he did.

As for why he was being followed, or why his phones were being tapped, Damian prefers to be cryptic and offer little to no information. “I fucked up their plans with that tweet. I feel like I screwed things up for them,” he says.

“I’ll come back to the country when my sources tell me the situation has changed. Probably not while this government is still in office,” he says.”

@41 Definitely worth following Bubblear.com Adrian Bono also write in Spanish on Infobae. They are about as impartial as any reporting from Argentina. The journalists live there, love it, often defend it (though never specifically the government - they regard them as a joke, albeit a dangerous one), and take the piss out of the things we do. Something most Argentines can't do.

It confirms that even if CFK was not behind the murder, her goons were on the scene before the police knew of it. They had eight long hours to tamper with the evidence and probably calculated for longer. No wonder they are pissed at Pachter. Watch the government destroy his reputation.

Her use of Facebook to air her thoughts on this crisis is testament to her lack of lucidity and intelligence.

It would be very interesting to find out why CFK fired Stiuso and 30 other intelligence officers. A bold move since he knows where all the bodies are buried.

My favorite Chilean Mossad agent is Ziva David aka Cote de Pablo. In reality, there are resident Mossad cells throughout South America and they are scary. The disbanded DINA went against them a couple of times in the past and really got their asses kicked. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, you really don't want the Jews pissed off at you. They have a long memory...

However, if I was a Jewish journalist, that just recently pissed off the SI, I'd probably book a flight for Israel as well...

Please correct me if I'm wrong...:
    1) The argument of this Jewish “journalist”... seems to be that he somehow pissed off the SIDE plans by tweeting that “something was going on” at Nisman's apartment at about 00:00 AM last Monday...
    2) That was nearly ONE HOUR AFTER Nisman's own MOTHER had entered the apartment (at circa 23:00 last Sunday) with a bunch of other people an more than a HALF HOUR AFTER the medics and an ambulance were required...

Could you please explain to this old simple minded man why the SIDE should be “pissed” over our young Israeli “journalist” tweet?

Oh, I really don't know. I'm fairly ignorant of the facts. Who knows?
We learned in the signals office to never take any assumptions about Argentineans, especially when it came from upper levels of the government.
My question is why a Jewish journalist would suddenly flee to Israel. Was he just being paranoid?
I've been reading some recent articles in the Israeli press which are scandalous. (I know, you think they are mouth pieces for the Mossad, but you are so wrong...

Just finished a modest simple dinner of cold chicken as my wife is headed for Lago Ranco and the nana is off today. The three separate Bar Liguria restaurants in Providencia have their walls covered with posters and pictures all kinds of stuff, including of the Chilean Left: the Socialist Party, the Communist Party, the Radical Party, the Social Democratic Party, the Independent Popular Action and MAPU (Movimiento de Acción Popular Unitario)

So why would two right wing old naval officers go there for lunch?
Because the food is incredible. The service is excellent. The ambiance is superb. They even have an older gentleman play tango music while dining.
Allende and Che are on the walls as well.
The prices are a bit steep, but still in the range of most places in Santiago.
And yes, the city is safe by Argentine standards, although crime is rising.

I read Pachter's story on another media site last night and I sincerely hope he doesn't decide to write a book. It would be in the kindling pile along with every Dan Brown books; so badly written it makes my teeth itch.

He probably would have been compelled (under the new anti terrorism laws) to reveal his source and that would be a catastrophe. That alone was a good reason to leave the country. The rest of his account sounds like a bit of hysteria whipped up by lack of sleep, adrenalin and a natural bent towards the dramatics.

Was his life at risk? Based on his story, not outside of a bad movie. He has never blamed CFK for the death of Nisman. The Argentine Intelligence Agent sounds like a lot of badly dressed men I have seen in Argentina and amateurish at best. His fear of Retiro Station and taxi drivers is valid for everyone. I would never go to the bus station especially after dark and I have had a few scary moments in taxis in that city and heard some real horror stories.

That said, he seems to have been encouraged in his belief that he was in danger by people he trusted and he is an Argentine Jew who left his mama before the age of 50, so he must have been frightened.

Though, one has to wonder why the government was so keen to misquote him and why the K supporters were at pains to discredit him. Anyone they try to destroy is immediately validated in my view.

“...an Argentine Jew who left his mama before the age of 50, so he must have been frightened...”
Terribly true and hilarious. You really should consider writing humor.

    THINK
There were four of us right wing reserve and retired navy desk sailors for lunch at the Bar Liguria. All of us at one time worked in the signals office. One of our group complained that they had Italian extra virgin olive oil on the table, (Chilean is FAR better) but otherwise, the meal was Michelin 3 stars.
We talked about the British defense journalist who supposedly “hung himself” years ago in Santiago and the Bourne Legacy movie where they attempt to make a doctor's murder look like a suicide.
Our non-scientific guesses after two good bottles of Carménère is the following:
    SI or former ex-SI. 80%
    Syrians or Iranians. 10%
Hit man ordered directly by CFK. 5%
    Clarin to discredit CFK. 2%
    Mossad. 1%
Brazil's ABIN 1% (Dilma really dislikes CFK)
    Some other intelligence organization. 0.5%
    Nisman actually committed suicide. 0.5%
    The Chinese neighbor. 0.25
THINK. 0.25% (one of my thoughts that I kept silent about)
My former commander who's birthday is today, keeps a pied-à-terre in Recoleta, but hasn't been there since New Years. Still he's completely certain it's the SI.
So there you have it. All you have to do now is to do a bit of water boarding, raid the Clarin newspaper and break into the Mossad database to refine our carefully evaluated results.
No news about the security tapes, which always get reviewed in the movies...

@74 Well yes and no. Presidents come and go but the spies stay. They report to the President but are pretty unaccountable and have a huge budget - no questions asked.

“It has suggested the scandal involves a power struggle at Argentina's intelligence agency.
Antonio Stiusso, a senior Argentine spy, was fired in a December shake-up of the agency, where one of his duties was to help Nisman with the investigation into the 1994 bombing.
The government says it was Stiusso who falsely told Nisman that the two men who helped him build his case of a cover-up were state intelligence agents.
The man who on Saturday lent Nisman the gun used to kill him the following day has reportedly said Nisman was warned by Stiusso to take steps to protect himself from his own state-assigned bodyguards.”

Stiusso worked for SIDE or SI for more than 20 years and was by all accounts 'feared'. CFK fired him just last month. Now Nisman is dead and Stiusso is reportedly out of the country. Hmmmm.

Elaine makes some very valid points and my lunch companions talked especially about Stiusso, but its very probable the current agents of the SI participated, not the ex.
As far as Malbec, the Argentines seem to have mastered the variety better than Chile. Our selection error was not to have ordered 4 bottles instead of 2.

You have to laugh at some of the updates. From Bubblear.com:

“Ramón Allan Héctor Bogado, the supposed SI agent and link between Cristina’s government and Iranian officials, is apparently just a slightly nutty dude with self-aggrandizement problems. Bogado was denounced last November for showing up at public offices claiming he was a member of the SI, which is presumably not someone in an intelligence agency would do. But this is all coming from the government, which is grasping at any information that would seem to vindicate CFK & co.”

When you have such an incompetent President and her hand-picked crack team (anyone who flatters her) in charge you can't rule out anything, however crackpot it sounds.

But look at it from a cold perspective.
Who would have gained from the suicide?

The Clarin seems to have benifitted the most so far... Increased circulation and blood letting to their foes...

    @78

I am fairly sure it is related to CFK deciding to sack 30 spies - the daft old woman - and one or a number of them showing their muscle. If the news is she has decided to abolish the entire I.S. she is more scared than I thought. She is, of course, quite mad. They won't disappear, they know where the bodies are buried and now they don't have to report to her. She has just unleashed them.

No one seems to have their story straight. Even the 'agents' guarding Nisman are giving wildly conflicting statements. It is almost as if they are being deliberately obstructive.

“We are missing the security video showing Señor Think skulking outside the service elevator wearing gloves and dark glasses…” Have we checked where he was? :)

Probably we will find out that he was involved in a heist of 18 year old single malts, but not in an assault against an ethnic group.
In the El Mercurio, they devoted nearly the entire A6 page to the Nisman case.
CFK firing SI is about as smart as her earlier actions regarding the murder.
Sort of like Hitler opening another front with Russia during WWII.
Pissing off the SI while confronting the world, especially the Jews, is the end.
