The Venezuelan government has turned down a request by former presidents of Chile and Colombia to visit opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez in jail. Chile's Sebastian Piñera and Colombia's Andres Pastrana say they are in Venezuela to support the opposition and have called for the release of Mr Lopez, who was arrested nearly a year ago. You both evade the democratic process and the rule of law. Keep it up and someone impatient may decide to shoot you. Give it up. You may spend the rest of your miserable lives in prison, but isn't that better than being dead?

The only thing preventing chaos is more inept control. What does this mean? Millions can be made in shorting China? (like russia leading up to xmas). Should we hoard commodities? I don't know. But I do know the world is going to change when CFK leaves on a broomstick. That's around the same time the dolar passes 666 to the 700s pesos in Chile and the bottom falls out from the Real.
