Some Argentines - many apparently - believe that Argentina will be the greatest nation on earth in 200 years time.

Based on what evidence I wonder?

A banana republic run by incompetent amateurs that are enriching themselves.

When will Argentines finally wake up and rise up and actually stop their country's decline?

You would think after more than half a century they would have gotten off their fat arses by now.

Made me piss blood listening to that old hag grinding on for an hour last night.
Basically she can wire tap anyone she wants with her new loyalists in the secret service, but they need to come to her lap dog (Gils Cabo) and ask permission to wire tap her.
Boils down to more impunity for her and the band of thieves around her.
Not one word of condolence for Nisman's family and daughters in an hour long rambling speech.

Don't worry “Think” her paid troll will be on here soon selling her as some golden savior to Argentina.

Has someone superglued her arse to that wheelchair? Why didn't she sit in a chair rather than stage the 'Poor me, poor me, I am a victim'. It just makes her look weak.

By sacking the intelligence staff she is unleashing the people that know where the bodies are buried. Why would she do that?

So SIDE are going to go away are they?

Cue another independent bunch of killers for hire who will continue to be responsible to only the organisation they serve.

And THAT photograph, it’s so funny with how it has been staged! ‘Look at me the poor widow carrying all the burdens on behalf of my citizens’ makes me want to throw up.

I wonder if they have to use a highlighter on all her documents so she can read the ‘important’ bits.

When someday the film of the Argentine comedy about the “rule” of the Cyclops and the Two Yuan Whore comes out I wonder who will play TMBOA: Madonna, she has all the sexual experience to play it and she will be old enough to need the wheelchair but of course it will be gold plated like the one TMBOA has gotten out of shot.

Mad women are of course among the most dangerous of nature’s beasts.

If anyone after hearing the Two Yuan Whore last night still imagines it was the ex SIDE behind it is clearly deluded.

If it had being the exSIDE why do you need to cook up a bizarre theory confuse the weak minded argies with crap and blame an employee that actually worked for the government.???

...perhaps CFK fell into a rabbit hole and hurt her ankle...

This was the lead story on the front paste of the El Mercurio with nearly a page more inside. Meanwhile, Argentine tourists in Chile has increased 21% over last year, but they're spending less money as they're worried about the economy.

“Nisman's death: Cristina Fernandez blames intelligence services and claims it's a plot to discredit her administration”

so, after 12 years in charge, kirchner has realized that there are mafias in the intelligence services...weird.
and it seems they found a chivo expiatorio in lagomarsino.

what this woman did not say is that the secretaría de inteligencia depends organically on the presidencia and that it is the presidencia who finance them.

their main activity in these 12 years was / is to do the trabajo sucio for the government.

now with gils carbó in charge and a strengthened milani in inteligencia militar, the situation should be even worse.

Everyone knows he was killed because Cristina & Timerman did a deal with Iran to cover up the bombing in exchange for Iran's missile technology. The Intelligence agency's of any country report directly to the prime minister or president so nothing happens without their consent or knowledge. Cristina first attempted to take control of the investigation & steer it in the wrong direction to stop the truth coming out but that didn't stop the journalists so they had to be silenced now she is attempting to blame & distance herself from her own spy agency, a complete joke when they answer to her.

@2. It's based on the likelihood that argieland occupies a portion of the Earth's crust that will be blasted off into space. Argieland WILL then be the greatest nation on its world. But not this one.

Now let's take a look. Does she not do any research? Words should mean more to her than nearly anyone else in argieland. When a head of state of a corrupt criminalo country says that something is 'absurd', you know it's true.

Of course it's a plot, woman. Yours. Did a special prosecutor working on a case for 10 years suddenly go loopy? The day before he was due to present his evidence to the opposition? Why did he borrow a gun when he already owned two? Where's the evidence of the precise time of death? Did the person that loaned him the gun and took it to his apartment actually shoot him?

Goodbye SIDE, or is it? Does it just go undercover? No doubt the 'removed' agents will be the best. Will she be paying them herself?

How good that wiretaps and other communications monitoring will go to the Attorney General. Who will yes or no based on 'political sensitivity'. What's wrong with a judge? Amazingly, in proper democratic countries, that's what has to be done. Probably 'in chambers', but it isn't done by a political appointee and crony.

“It's unreasonable to think our government could even be suspected of such a maneuver,” she said during the hour-long speech.

No, it isn't. It's perfectly reasonable. You and your 'government' are well-known to be as bent as a boomerang. The trouble is that, like a boomerang, you keep coming back.

Does she have Nisman's file? Is there a copy? Who did he really trust?

Why is there no suicide note? Suicides usually explain why they are doing it.

I see she's now dressing in virginal and penitent white. Blood-red would be more appropriate. CFK shouldn't be too worried. The death penalty was abolished in argieland in 2009. On the other hand, a new government could bring it back for specific cases!

What is funny about this self induced crisis by the Ks are the various headlines around the world newspapers.

Most of them start...Crazy Cristina and the like.

It never ceses to amaze me how this administration embarrasses itself on the world stage at every opportunity.

You'd think someone would have told them:

”It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.-- Mark Twain (1835-1910)

I was under the impression it had been Abraham Lincoln who coined the expression, so I 'googled' it and came up with this :
“It’s been attributed to all the usual suspects, but seems to have its roots in the bible:
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. -- Bible, 'Proverbs' 17:28.

    Others who came later:
”Blessed is the man, who having nothing to say, abstains from giving wordy evidence of the fact.”
    -George Eliot (1819-1880), author

    Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.-- Abraham Lincoln (also attr. Confucius);

Nevertheless, very appropriate for CFK, as well as for many of the Trolls...

Wise words indeed from Mr Twain. A colleague at work today imparted another jewel of wisdom when describing a customer he was having difficulties with. He said:-

“There is no cure for being a c*nt”.

I think that the phrase rings true in this situation as well though, don't you?

I like Judy Sheindlin's classic “beauty fades but dumb is forever”

In Cristina's case she has suffered a double blow.

I don't know why the prosecutor was shot in the head just before he was about to give damning evidence about me and my government colluding with Iranians who bombed our own people. Pure comedy!

probably kirchner, aníbal fernandez, esteche, d'elia or los servicios are involved in this crime.
and surely the denounce of nisman is true.

now, to consider nisman some kind of benefactor de la patria is absolute bullshite.
this guy was the best friend of the k´s during +/- 10 years, working along his wife, as the best employees of stiusso.
their main activity was chasing opponents of the k´s and all kind of dirty work.

on the other hand, how the fuck a prosecutor and his ex wife who is a judge, can live in puerto madero and lomas de san isidro, send their daughters to the most expensive school of latin america, spend their vacations in europe, etc?
los números no cierran when you are talking about a prosecutor and a judge.

@41 Gosh, I just checked Trip Advisor and they only list four restaurants in Puerto Madero and two are in the Faena Hotel. I remember that area having a lot of restaurants, mostly over-priced and aimed at tourists, but bustling in the evenings. What a change. So I checked out one of my favourites in Palermo and that has gone too. Sad.

If you are ever back in BA, and you appreciate a good stake, I recommend a restaurant in San Telmo, called “La Brigada” (Calle Estados Unidos 465)...truly fantastic, and not expensive. Knocks spots off all the Puerto Madero restaurants - before shutting down - as well as the famous “La Cabaña”, in Recoleta.
