Compared to dismal Ushuaia Punta Arenas is a very nice place for a cruise port. Lovely town centre with great restaurants and cafes. Two nice museums with Magellans ship, Shackletons converted lifeboat and a wonderful folk museum with old houses plant and equipment from when the town was developed in the 19th Century. And… no tyre burning, rock throwing mobs of Argie thugs either, just nice friendly Chileans.Feb 02nd, 2015 - 11:19 am - Link - Report abuse 0
Top Gear were checking their number plates down in Oz on last nights show just to make sure they didnt offend the locals. With Chilean flags lapel pins last week and the number plate check this week they are still poking fun at the Argie knuckle draggers! Bahahahaha
