Netflix began selling its Internet video service in Cuba on Monday in what appears to be a largely symbolic move driven by the recent loosening of US restrictions on doing business with the Communist-run Island. Read full article

So the Socialist Paradise can't spare $2/week per household (say 30-50 US cents per person, per week) to let them watch a few movies?

I thought the ethos was that the State provided for all?

Rgs are funny because they don't think this can happen to them. I told Toby a couple years ago that in a decade the avg Rg won't be able to afford or have the technology readily available to communicate with the civilized world.
I stand by that prediction.

Even with 8 dollars, why would I or anyone use Netflix?

Can anyone name ONE good NorthAmoan movie in the last 5 years? I can't.

I think the last meaningful good NorthAmoan movie was Shawshank Redemption, maybe Gladiator... and that's when the US movie industry passed away. Nothing worth watching now.
