It's been no secret that the Luksic family has been strongly financially supporting the left since Lagos ran for the presidency, but when the Penta Group's financial support for the right was exposed, the UDI and RN have been exposing the Socialists who have been receiving similar questionable deals.
In general, people on the right feel this scandal will far more benificial for us in the long term.

It's nice to see the story is not only running but not being swept under the carpet by the government.

Democracy is always more than just voting. It is an entire transparent system that lets anomalies like this be exposed.

Chile's success has been from its low level of corruption and high level of transparency. Our country's curse however is from the plague of socialists and communists that reside within our borders.

Every country has people that try to take advantage and try to use their influence.

There is no country that is immune, because like water they find a way to circumvent any barrier eventually

What sets countries apart is how they face up to these challenges and how they deal with issues when they arise.

So far so good. I don't know too much about everyday affairs in Chile, but I somehow doubt the president has gone on national TV and ranted for an hour about issues that are before the courts or being investigated.
