At least three oil workers were killed and others were injured in an explosion at an offshore oil and natural gas platform in Brazil operated by state-run energy company Petroleo Brasileiro SA , union officials have said. Read full article

    Oh dear, Brasso won't be able to claim the Americans did this, will he?

    Shame about the loss of life on what is always seen as an easy job, if such a thing exists in the oil business.

    I bet the management were leaned on by the union to go soft on their workers and a few safety rules were ignored as they had always ignored them 'without any problems'. It is always thus.

    @1. Will they have to pay the wages of the deceased? Life insurance? More money saved for the failing Brazilian economy! I suppose it's just a new method. How many Brazilians are murdered every week? Part of the 'economic balancing'? When will it be Brasileiro's turn? Next month? Next week? Tomorrow? How many Brazilians make it to the age of 70? Why?
