    And so it begins...
    Venezuela 2:0

Look what happened to the venerable El Universal...
    Same thing in Vnzla....
They said that editorial independence would remain but soon the satirical cartoonists went, certain journalists were no longer welcome, hard-hitting commentors were quietly 'lost'...
Only govt-aligned business men could get access to the preferential dollar rates, certain people got very rich in a few years, other respectable business people were starved and hounded out.

Argentineans, look to Caracas to see your future.

Predictable. And the transaction passes the rotting roadkill sniff test in all its stinking glory. But wait - isn't the new partner in violation of the media concentration law? No! They have a K partisan waiver, obviously. One law for you and me and another for them. LOL. Funny thing is: Their equity will ultimately be absorbed in the final self destruction of perronism in the coming local economic armagedon.

It reminds me of a nest of rats that my father unearthed at the church he was responsible for the upkeep of.

In answer to my question (I was seven at the time) how are you going to get rid of them dad, he got a big kettle of boiled water and poured it all over the hairless young.

We never found any more rats after that.

TDC needs such treatment at the Pink Whore House ASAP.

“Buenos Aires Herald falls in the hands of a group close to Cristina Fernandez”

but this is old news, you imbeciles.
when the ba herald was purchased by that piece of shite of szpolski back in 2007, it was already in the hands of the minions of kirchner.
it was the same with the group amfin and now with indalo, you retarded isleters.

the ba herald was a great newspaper when was managed by robert cox or graham yool.
and no, andrew graham yool is not british, you dumbassholes.
    he is ar-gen-ti-no.

Everything is in place ....or close to it. Argentina is probably where Venezuela was 3/4 years ago. But think the fall is increasing in speed. It's probably unlikely that anyone can stop this madness and nationicide now. The marches do nothing..........violence is the only thing left.

Very sad. As far as I am concerned, I will never read that newspaper again.

And BTW, what happened with the `ebil media monopolies´, CFK? it´s always bad or it´s only bad if it is not your monopoly?

Paul, The foul language you've resorted to using since your life has crashed is unnecessary and make you look uneducated and low class.
Both of those are probably true but its still unecessary. If you can't get your point across without foul language you probably shouldn't bother posting.

Cap, I think Arg is going to bypass V sooner than 3-4 yrs. I think the Ks have deliberately sabotaged the next Gov't. There's no more U$ left in the economy and Grains are 12% below last year so all the profit is gone for anyone that farms less than 500 hectares. So now there's nothing left to bring in U$ this summer.
I think Griesa will allow many “me too”s to pile on and the judgement wil balloon up to U$10B and allow many many many entities to seize Arg property in the USA and possibly worldwide.
All about the same time the new Prez takes over

@6. Oh, how selective of you. Robert Cox IS British. And Andrew Graham-Yooll, whose name you can't spell properly, was born to a Scottish father and an English mother. Do you understand the international law on nationality? I gather he refers to himself as an Anglo-argie. Where did he go to escape the murderers of argieland? Don't you have an arsehole law that says anyone born in argieland is an argie? How desperate are you?

Yes it is sad that money can influence the media and even buy media outlets. Now, I see a lot of whining here about how bad the purchase of the BA Herald will be, but not a single comment about the biggest problem Argentina has in regard to the media: the Clarin Group, the most powerful entity of concentrated media in the country, with the ability to model public opinion at will.

Well said it Troy T! We happen to agree on this.
That's exactly the point of the Ley de Medios, which has now for years sought to break up the stronghold Clarín has on the public opinion through its multimedia conglomerate that throughout the country repeats and amplifies one single view: that of the Clarín Group.

As to CD2 questioning your ideological affiliations and history, it's a legitimate attempt to assess the truth of what you say, and what motivates you to make such statements.

Enrique, one has to question how you can enjoy all the benefits of a free democracy, yet actively perpetuate disinformation, to deny those rights to Argentines.

Iwonder if the RG's ever stopped to ask themselves......

“How the fuck did we get here, in this situation?”

Doubtful.....the Argentine government is only responsible and accountable for their actions are when it turns out good. Argentina is fast running out of options. China will not be the answer....Argentina always seems top want someone else to be their savior rather than themselves:

“The Chinese economy never made sense,” Chang said. “It kept expanding because the central government guided the economy upward. Now, however, China is growing too slowly, accumulating debt too quickly and China’s leaders have rejected fundamental reform.”

    http://www.wallstreetsectorselector.com/investment-articles/editors-desk/2015/02/chinese-economic-slowdown-impacting-global-trade/

I use China when talking about Argentina because...well, because we all know Argentina does not manage themselves. Afterall, Asslips Kirchner sold Argentina to China and when has Argentina developed a plan to take care of themselves rather than begging others, like China to take care of Argentina?

Argentina I suggest the time has come to:

1-be accountable for you own actions....good or bad
2-grow up and mature and stop ranting and stomping like a pouty teenager
3-rid yourself of corruption, some of the highest levels of any country in the world
4-dis-associate yourself with terrorists nations, it will get you killed in the long run
5-give your people opportunities for self-reliance
