The Americas have been divided, it is time to heal the wounds and build an Americas that is united for everyone,”

their are just some impossibilities in the world,
and a united Americas for the people just so happens to be one of them.

    How the fuck does this:

“ On democracy, he said “the OAS must equip itself with tools that allow it to have advance knowledge of eventual crises to act in a coordinated way with the states, on the basis of dialogue, to avoid anti-democratic outcomes.”

    Reconcile with this:

”Next, Almagro expressed his belief that the member states of the Organization should find a viable and consensual way for the “effective re-entry” of Cuba to the OAS, and that the next Summit of the Americas in Panama in April “will be historic in that it will become a landmark due to the presence of Cuba.”

Cuba is the farthest thing from democracy. In fact many countries in SA are also. The USA, Canada even Mexico should dump this shithole organization. This is by far worse the the UN. At least in the UN there are many real countries as members. The OAS is mostly made up of paranas.

Almagro went on to say “I have been the Rent Boy of Gollum for a number of years now and can see for myself how upstanding Argentina is: I just do not know how members can take the piss out of Gollum and intend to do my best at promoting Argentina.”

When asked about Uruguay Almagro said “Quién es ese?”

Almagro will undoubtedly put the OAS where it belongs: on the shit heap.

@2. Why is it that latinos always have to create more organisations? A real love of bureaucracy. The more that have to 'decide' the less gets done. Can anyone see what's coming?
“The Americas have been divided, it is time to heal the wounds of the past and build an Americas that is united and for everyone,”
That'll be like the EU's 'freedom of movement'. Of late it has become necessary to point out that it's 'freedom of movement of workers', not freedom of movement of skiving scroungers aiming for where the welfare benefits are greatest. The United States and Canada need to watch carefully.

Read that paragraph about the 'Inter-American System of Prevention of Social Conflicts'. Will it be ISP? 'Can't put a factory there'. 'Can't do mining there'. How about the Uruguayan pulp mills?

On the issue of development, Almagro proposes three iniatives to leech money from Canada and the United States. Does anybody think there are latam countries with the money to make a meaningful contribution? And the argie contribution will be a peso. Someone else's.

I do trust that the United States and Canada have a veto to prevent Cuba being admitted to the OAS. Cuba has not been a proper country since around 1902. And all this is to change after just a couple of years? Forget it. Cuba has managed to get by without OAS membership for 52 years. So it should wait another 50 years whilst it learns to conform with the practices, purposes and principles of the Western world.

Almagro needs to be viewed with considerable misgiving. He is, after all, a Gollum puppet.

And he can stay away from Europe. There was a piece of slime called Quisling. Almagro is cast in the same mould.

    To remind:
Jose A Mora, an Uruguayan, was OAS/Pan American Union,
Secretary General for a long, long time.
What special experience does Mr Almagro will offer.
Is he going to be against any OAS support for silly irredentist claims??
