Controversy over the coverage by US reporters of the 1982 Falklands conflict continues to rage in US media, since Fox News top star Bill O'Reilly admitted that at the time, working for CBS News, he was based in Buenos Aires, far from the 'war zone' as he had characterized his task. O'Reilly has said many times, including in his 2001 memoir, that “I've reported on the ground in active war zones from El Salvador to The Falklands”, knowing perfectly well that his audience would've been largely unaware that he never actually stood on Falklands Islands soil itself.

Much of what he's said subsequently has merely compounded his dishonesty. He needn't worry though, his job is safe. His employer isn't going to abandon him so long as his audience ( median age 72 yrs old ) doesn't, and I doubt they care that much about this particular subject.

This liar has obviously never heard the expression “when you are digging a hole for yourself: STOP DIGGING.”

We already know he is a liar, what else matters?

Ailes is very proud that he was never a graduate of ANY news-hack college and he lies through his teeth also it seems.

This is to be expected when you remember who owns the despicable “Faux Not the News” the Dirty Digger himself.

I think they will need a wooden stake and silver bullets each to put this pair out of our misery.

I don't think Rupert is long for this life. I don't believe many will miss him either.

Uh, this guy whoever he is need issue no apologies. He lives and walks the streets in the USA, that's should make him experienced enough on War Zones.

NorthAmoan nouns (the grammatical category) are always NEGATIVE. So when the Pope writes he fears the “mexicanization” of Argentine cities, and De la Sota spoke of the “Americanization” of Argentine schools, then of course some brainstorming should ensue.

Americanization and mexicanization are the worst that could happen to any country, NorthAmoland is synonymous with being a craphole so around the world nouns formed from NorthAmoan adjetives are universally negative. Canadianization (aka balkanization), due to ethnic or linguistic barriers is also to be prevented in Argentina.

No to Americanization, no to Canadianization, and no to Mexicanization.
