Apparently we are now moving to an argentine dominated world,

that ensures that everything and anything that the British governments says is and will be taken as provocative tom Argentina,

I quite enjoy their massive comedic over reactions. Amusing really. Utterly impotent of course, and it distracts them from bothering those nice Chilean people that live just around the corner.

Lovely measured response to the announcement on behalf of the Islanders.

Nothing in it to scare the horses, but enough to scare Gollum shitless and turn Bogbrush ‘Anibal the Cannibal’ © ChrisR 2015 into a swivel eyed loon.

    TDC: a laugh a minute.

Don't want to be pedantic-as an American publication it is fine for you to talk of 'defense' but Secretary of State for Defence is a proper title and as such the Defense bit should be spelt as 'Defence”

For a shitty little Island it sure gets a lot of press.
I propose we send all the criminals from South America there and we will have our own Alcatraz.

@7: “I propose we send all the criminals from South America there...”

You tried that at one point, remember? They were rightly sent back in 1833, which started your country's obsession with spreading the Malvinas lie.

@7. IF it's shitty, it's because of your 1982 animals. What a good idea it would have been to toss 11,313 crappers into the South Atlantic Ocean 2000 miles from the nearest dry spot. Why send your crims to Islands that aren't, and never will be, yours? You have the Rio de la Plata. You have six volcanos into which they can be tossed. That's only about three 'ministers' per volcano. Please make sure it's all videoed and televised. I like the idea of CFK having a 'safety' bungee cord around her throat. The thrill is in the uncertainty. Will the cord rip her head off? Will she plop into the molten rock and then pop out so we can watch her melt. Timboy next.A slow immersion so we can hear his eyeballs fry. Probably the only balls he has. Kicillof. Will the hair remain on the surface? What's happened to Putrid Jelly? Count it in anyway. Alicia Kirchner has two strikes against her. Assuming she's female. Not a good idea having 'Alicia' (per trolley dolly Castro) or 'Kirchner'. Double shite. Come to think of it, perhaps they could all be dragged through molten rock by helicopters. Want to join the end of the queue?

Don't be concerned, Falklands. Britain will always be ready to destroy anyone who attacks you.

You know, what's really funny is that on one hand you have deluded Argentine Italian facisists dreaming of Italian commandos retaking the Falklands and on the other hand, you have Argentine bloggers reporting the pathedic truth...

It seems the bloggers on here, are at loggerheads with their government views,

they think the islands are crap,
yet CFK is sacrificing her country to get the dam things,

none of them have a clue what they want,
no wonder the world laughs at them.

I can never understand this Argentine' logic'-they seem to crave the Islands desperately, which have a miniscule fraction of the resources in Argentina, but no Argy wants to actually live there-and they don't like the fact that the Islanders do like living there. So according to Argyland, the Islanders are 'squatting' on land the Argies don't want to inhabit-errrr?

“I propose we send all the criminals from South America there and we will have our own Alcatraz”.

Why make life hard trying to dodge the UK defences which will rip you apart?

Keep the criminals where they are happy-and have the best opportunities to steal-in South America.

It’s good to hear that the UK has, once again, reaffirmed its commitment to provide security for the Falklands Islands. Copy that Christina and Hector and the rest of the Argie clowns?

It always amuses me to see the Argies get so upset about something they have no say in.
    haha!

PS: We never hear anything about French Guyana, which is actually a member of the EU... but part of the South American landmass.
I suggest all posters start raising this.

Perhaps the mighty CFK and her argy bloggers on here are to frightened of the French,

after all the French reply would be rather more colourful than ours.

It's actually good that the UK is currently addressing the Falklands defense issues as apparently Argentina is aggressively increasing its offensive abilities as well. It's not the French that e need to worry about, it's those Italians.

@12 “they think the islands are crap”.

I had an Argentine friend and colleague, who has since died, who always maintained that Argentina was not really interested in the actual acquisition of the Falklands. His argument, as a “porteño”, was that the adverse climate, the lack of nightlife and “boliches” and, in general. any semblance to “civilisation” would mean that, after a short period of jubilation, Argentina would then abandon the archipelago to its own resources.

He was totally against a change in the “status quo” and was a great admirer of the Falkland Islanders.

“Argentina would then abandon the archipelago to its own resources.”

As in the 1820s/1830s-Vernet's settlement received nothing from the UPs except some murdering militia for 3 months-this says all that needs knowing that Argentina hasn't and never has had, the slightest interest in the Falklands, and knows so little of a territory they claim to crave, that they offered a weekly airliner service through AA, not to MPA, but to Stanley!!
