Argentina dispatched on Monday complaint letters to several international and regional organizations accusing the United Kingdom of further militarizing the Falklands/Malvinas, with an increased budget, alleging Argentina represents a 'live threat' to the Islanders in the British Overseas Territory and thus ignoring tens of resolutions calling for dialogue between the two sides on the Falklands issue. They must be utterly deluded if they think it will change UK plans or decisions.
Looks like Timmerman believes himself to be far more important than he actually is.
Let us ask ourselves which of the organisations that Timprat has written to the UK gives a toss about. Secretary General of the United Nations - Don't think so. The Sec Gen relies on the support of member states. The UK is a permanent member of the Security Council. It relies on itself. Secretary General of the UN C24 Committee. Nope. None of their business. OAS Secretary General. Nope. None of their business. Unasur secretary general. Joke. Uruguayan foreign ministry since the country holds the chair of South Atlantic permanent peace and cooperation zone. Another joke. Ecuador's foreign ministry since the country is the pro-tempore chair of CELAC. Do we talk to Ecuador while it obstructs British justice? Brazil's foreign ministry because Brasilia is currently chair of Mercosur. Joke. South African representative before UN since that country holds the chair of the Group of 77 plus China. None of its business.

Now let's think it through. Who lasted attacked, invaded and occupied the Falkland Islands? Has argieland ever apologised? Has argieland ever paid reparations? Is argieland paying for the mine clearance? Who is conducting an economic war against the Falkland Islands? Who is continuing to make totally illegitimate and unfounded claims? Who's in breach of how many UN Charter Articles? Plus various provisions of international law? But it's nice to see that the UK is no longer a 'colonial power'.
The UK has a primary obligation to protect its citizens. There are no binding UN resolutions that say otherwise. The Falkland Islanders come first!
Thinking about it, the only cultural contibutions from Argentina to the world gave been a dance (born in whore houses in Buenos Aires) originally between men and King Africa. ( http://youtu.be/xpWle3AmYp4 )

...complying with International law,..
Which is why Argentina illegally invaded British sovereign territory, subjugated the inhabitants and planned to murder any who objected to their ill-treatment.
Which is why, when ordered out by a *binding* resolution, Argentina refused, only leaving when Britain recovered their stolen property.
Which is why Argentinian minefields are still to be cleared over 30 years later.
which must prevail to overcome international controversies and to put an end to this anachronic colonial situation ongoing for over 182 years.
Simple solution. Argentina acknowledges - in front of the whole UN Assembly - the facts of the matter: that their claim is false, and they've wasted several decades lying to the UN and associated assemblies.
Argentina then apologises unreservedly for the wrongs it committed on the legitimate inhabitants of the Falkland Islands, and removes all of their objections to the confirmation of the decolonisation of the Islands.
There. Colonial situation over, Falklands in the hands of the rightful holders of sovereignty, attempted usurpers finally ending their rhetoric.
Quick, simple and above all else, completely fair and equitable to all parties.

Hello my friend, thanks for the mention. It's simply that time of the year again. The Argentine equivalent to that time of the month. I'm sure there'll be a few more little stunts later this week and over the weekend to remember the anniversary of the Argentine Government's illegal invasion of our soil. An invasion they thought would be unopposed. An invasion they thought would be easy. An invasion they thought would make them heroes.
Unfortunately for them they went home with bloody noses (the ones who went home that is) and these days get wheeled out at demonstrations by Crisis Fernandez de Kirchner and when she's finished with them for the day she gets the police to clear them out of her way. That's some way to treat your war heroes.
Take care my friend.

Apr 01st, 2015 - 09:44 am - Link - Report abuse 0”Taking the matter to international organizations is for Argentina the civilized way of claiming the Malvinas (Falkland) islands.
The only international organization qualified to rule on sovereignty claims is the ICJ. Argentina has refused ICJ arbitration several times, likely because they cannot prove their claim.
There is very little else that can be called civilised about Argentina's conduct regarding the Falklands.
Slandering the legitimate inhabitants as pirates okupas and squatters” without a shred of evidence is not civilised.
Using an international organization meant to guide NSGTs to self-determination and decolonisation and acknowledge the same(C24) as a bully pulpit to deny the legitimate inhabitants of the Falklands their rights is not civilised.
Blocking the C24 from acknowledging the legitimate inhabitants progress towards self-detemination and decolonisation so you can falsely claim a colonial situation exists is not civilised.
Using the C24 to complain about Britain spending money to improve the quality of life of the Falkland Islanders and ensure they can defend themselves from greedy neighbours (who have attempted to subjugate them in the past) is not civilised.
All of these Argentina has done, it may not be disputed.
If Argentina truly wanted to claim the Falkland Islands, it can take the case to the ICJ. Indeed, as they claim to be the aggrieved party, they *must* agree to ICJ arbitration before it can take place.
That they have not shows their claim has no moral or legal merit, and is simply another extension of the Malvinas Lie.
Apparently Argentina has written to child line, stating they had their toys stolen.

Chile, Uruguay & Brazil will not blockade the Falklands
...We made clear that the decision to close ports to ships flying the Falklands flag has no legal basis, and that it would be unacceptable and unbecoming for any Latin American democracy to collaborate in Argentina’s attempts to economically blockade the Falkland Islands. We reiterated our strong support for the rights of the Islanders to determine their political future, and also made clear that any attempts to coerce them through economic or other pressures would be resisted by the British Government. Such actions are inconsistent with the principles of the United Nations Charter and the rights of the Falkland Islands people to trade openly and without hindrance.
Whilst we do not accept that the decision to refuse entry to vessels flying the Falklands flag has any basis in international law, our priority has been to ensure that the trade and commercial links between the Falklands and South America are not compromised by this political declaration. We have had productive and honest discussions with Uruguay, Chile and Brazil. All three countries have said that they have no intention of participating in an economic blockade of the Falkland Islands and that all Falklands-related commercial shipping will continue to enjoy access to their ports, in accordance with domestic and international law, if they are flying the Red Ensign or another national flag when docked. .....
