The thing is CA has implemented a program but their problems are mostly caused by Fed Gov't regulation over water resources to protect some stupid fish.
Odumbo is the worst. As stupid and arrogant as a Caudillo.
Thank goodness he'll be gone shortly.

Brazil has water, just not where they need it. People are digging wells, yes digging wells in San Paulo!! The water they'll get out of these personal wells will absolutely be contaminated.
    Brazilians aren't very smart
and they're lazy like all Marxists

I can't wait to see how this rolls out by Aug/Sept.
    Should be interesting.

Before you say that the lack of water happen in June, is now in September?

It is true that the United States consumed 80% of its groundwater?

How do you see the situation in your country regarding the lack of water in 10 years?

350 million hungry in the middle of the desert aridity? Or do you will make war with countries that have abundant water?

The nice thing about the USA is that if we want something we'll find it and secure it for our people. Either buy it or take it. It really doesn't matter.

I don't know anyone who is talking about the USA running out of water. It is impossible at least in the next 200yrs.

Silly slum dweller you know nothing of which you speak.

It is true that in recent years you exchanged 20% of its water reservoirs for oil shale?

Then how do you explain the sudden lack of water in much of the United States?

Or you deny that the US most populous state is rationing?

California is rationing because our a multi year drought and the Federal Gov't protecting a stupid fish and not letting that water being used for farming/people.
It has nothing to do with Fracking.

    Apr 04th, 2015 - 02:40 pm - Link - Report abuse 0

Yes they are prepared for it. That's why they're restricting water now waaaaay before it runs out.
Not like San Paulo who's 6 mos away from running out.
Things that we think are dire here means you can't re-fill your pool 3-4x a year or water your lawn when you live in a desert.
In the 3rd world you don't drink, bathe or flush toilets if you're lucky enough to have one.

    Totally different.

“If we thought Brazil had something we needed we would just take it.
    Who could stop us?”

Is this how we are going to do it in the free world under your political philosophy? Is this how we are getting rich by “taking it” when we want it. How does this fit in the concept of liberty and democracy? How is that different from Russia with the Ukraine, Iraq taking Kuwait et al? I think you are starting to have a meltdown yb. You are failing to look in the reality check mirror. You are by far seriously selfish and fail to possess some basic tenets of respect. While I have always questioned your nationality, you definitely fit into the tea bagger mold. I believe under your ideals of America, we would be a one party system as you have no respect for a system of checks and balances. As much as you hate the Cuban one party system, you indirectly profess your jealously of it without even realizing. You hate everything and everyone in the USA who thinks in contrast to your concepts. Are you sure you are not Chinese, Russian or even Cuban?

    Meltdown? Moi?

I think you are a woefully ignorant taxachussets liberal that has no idea how the world really works.
Do you seriously think that if the USA had a water problem we wouldn't take it from someone who had water ( in place of water put anything in there you want, lithium, rare earth minerals, etc etc) First we'd be nice and offer to pay, then we wouldn't. Methinks you need to learn a bit about my wonderful country's history.

I don't want a one party system. I think both parties offer each end of the spectrum and pull each other toward the middle.
Problem is, Odumbo and his radical left wing agenda has pulled us too far to the left so the right will have to pull us back and most likely it will be too far again. Time will tell.
I am glad that most of the USA has found the Dems to be nothing more than whiny know nothing thugs using the power of the Federal Gov't to rule over the good American people.
My gut tells me their toeast for awhile and I hope I am right.

You are being rather over optimistic. Brazil will have serious water shortages.
At the rate you are destroying the Amazon jungle it will turn into a desert. With no trees....no rain.
    Have a look at these
    .theguardian.com/environment/2015/mar/08/how-water-shortages-lead-food-crises-conflicts
    theguardian.com/cities/2015/feb/25/sao-paulo-brazil-failing-megacity-water-crisis-rationing

We have more water than we need where I live. All the reservoirs are overflowing.
If you need any water I will send you some in a large box. It will have to be dehydrated so you will need to add fresh water to reactivate it.

I feel for the Californians. My state endured water restrictions a few years ago. You could only water your garden on alternate days and only after sunset. Neighbours starting looking suspiciously at anyone clutching a hose. Gardens were turning brown all over the city. The mouth of the Murray river stopped flowing and even repeated dredging failed to alleviate the problem.

We invested in a desalination plant but what finally resolved the issue was Cyclone Tasha dumping three billion tonnes of water on Queensland. The water flowed all the way south and the Murray began to flow again. Bad news for the banana benders, good for us croweaters...

I believe your assessment of YB is mostly accurate.
Only, I don't believe him to be Chinese, Russian or Cuban. He is not even representative of most U.S. people.
He is like a deep-voiced dwarf who used to roar from a haystack top, scaring the villagers--without ever showing up.
His game ended when a fearless young man challenged him to come down. The dwarf threatened and roared, but failed to show up. So in the end the young man climbed the haystack, found the little man and dragged him down. I will let you guess the (most unhappy) end.

Sure yb. 33 year military liberal. Take my big balls on your chin like all you teabaggers. i wasn't talking about water just your ignorant posts. Serve some fucking combat tours then tell me how the world works.
I think your mother was a whore and some of her pimps could be your daddies. If you are an American....you are the kind that embarrasses the rest. Btw........taxachusetts is really an antiquated and dated term. You google a lot about the USA than you should also know Ct and NY and about 10 other states pay higher income AND real estate taxes than Massachusetts. At best you are a wannabe American googling through posts like tobi....only only he sees the bad in Argentina. Worst you are an American. fearful to come out and a moron chauvinist/jingoist never having to pay in flesh and blood for all the wsrs you glorify........still longing for a white male majority. BTW. The Mass tax rate is a flat 5.2 % NY has state and city income tax. And real estate. All the intelligent things you do post is negated by your utterly inane things.....and they are abundant. And never have I seen an ego as fragile as yours that your need to pat yourself on the back is never ending. Did your parents fuck you up that bad in your youth that you lack that much self confidence you need to praise yourself here? Cant you use one of your other names and have them brag for you?

Enrique for once I agree with in that he is not representive of most Americans. He's not in the mix ehich is why he is clueless and embarrasses Americans with his autocratic views.

Yankee.........go home!!! Wherever that may be and stop you flow of vomit and your ignorant views of America. Your kind of patriotism is killing Americans.

I might disagree with you, but at least you have some decency.

I am sure that you know enough of me that I do not hate Argentine's or Argentina and numerous times I've stated I've always enjoyed my trips there. You Should also know that I do not insult (when I do) to build myself up. It's more of being a prick as I am far from being a debater. Anyone who knows me will never claim I lack self assurance. I can appreciate people who think differently from my yet is founded with integrity. While I see socialism as a futile distribution method that creates mediocrity, it that what the people want......however you can't expect all businesses to want to work there. I also see capitalism as a better means of distribution, but not unchecked. Captialism without oversight is a cancer.....
    Enron
    WorldCom
    Bosky
    Milken
    Madoff
    Healthsouth
Tyco....the list goes on except for some fools that accept this activity....or are blind to it because they themselves are a part of it.

I also hate fake assed Americans whom think we can push the world around with brute force using my fucking blood and the blood of people willing to protect and serve.

We may be different but I too like to think that I am a decent guy. And for the record....I prefer capitalism but I also believe somethings the government must do.....infrastructure, basic education, protection......and access to heathcare for all.

The next moron that calls me a liberal from taxachusetts, the idiot should know just where Massachusetts stands in taxation......in the middle....and how many liberals have serious blood on there hands? Only an armchair warrior would want war.

Our ideological differences are quite clear, as ar our historical differences in general. I would hate to be judged for what wrongdoings my ancestors may have commited, hence I wont judge you with that as a frame.
Between us, I think the word socialist scares you more than your own defined ideology, even if they happen to concur...

You are a socialist, by definition. As soon as you have state ownership, you have socialism by definition.
Socialism, dear Pops, is not defined other than an alternative to capitalism, you see.
And in capitalism you have no state enterprise.

So all I can conclude, is that you have been raised to fear a word...

    Apr 08th, 2015 - 04:42 am - Link - Report abuse 0
  • Captain Poppy

That is quite a leap to say how I was raised. What else can you tell me how I was raised?

Few countries are pure in capitalism or socialism. I would say SS retirement is as close to socialism as it comes here. But to say I was raised to fear is quite the leap.....or a statement for effort, which has none on me.

How did we move to definitions?

    Apr 08th, 2015 - 10:43 am - Link - Report abuse 0
  • Stevie

Because in the US, there is this tendency to shout socialist like the rest of the world shouts wolf.
Definitions are quite relevant, as we should first agree what the words we are using actually means.

    Apr 08th, 2015 - 11:50 am - Link - Report abuse 0
  • Captain Poppy

That is what sensible people call “fear mongering”. I tell my fellow Americans more often than not that they have not clue what socialism is until they leave the USA......like in SA where countries continue to move on a path to socialism. Right now you know as well as I do that most countries and both systems are blended. The west is blended with emphasis on capitalism and SA and others are blended with an emphasis on socialism. However......current leaders in SA want a bigger paradigm shift toward socialism.

Indeed there is no country in the world with pure anything.
Personally, I'm a great fan of fred trade. It only comes second to local production, and sadly they don't live in symbiosis.
I'm also a great fan of taxes, should they be used to the benefit of the masses and not the pockets of a few.
I defend division of power, but I don't agere with limiting terms, that should be up to the electorate and not any lawmaker.

I think no truth is universal, and no need is constant. I haven't read about any ideology that embraces my doubts by its own merit, thus I never shut the door in the face of a good argument.

Branding me a believer of an ideology of your choice, was never a good argument...

Perhaps we stand on comparable decks looking at a similar forest. But I do believe in term limits for leaders. I would rather see two 6 year terms in my country than two 4 years. As for taxes.....I would like to see an out and out flat tax exempting the 1st 25k and no deductions for anything.......that is payroll related taxes. Businesses operate under a different means and of course would deduct COGS. Though I think the dividend should be deducted from a businesses tax basis income. Currently the the asshole at the IRS double dip.
