It's like some perverse, twisted, sick fairytale.

That toad - like maximo makes my skin crawl, and that disgusting sycophant 'annibal makes my teeth itch!

All presided over by the wicked witch who probably dispatched Nestor in mad desire for power....

So this guy who has never seen anything through in his life makes one speech and that qualifies him for high political office? Wouldn't happen in a real democracy. Whoever votes for him deserves whatever they get.

Yes, he certainly is ripe ! He even looks it.

What a corrupt farce of a family. Let's see how much more he can steal for Mama.

    @15 Kinda slow aren't you?

Constitutional monarchy is a form of government in which a king or queen acts as Head of State. The ability to make and pass legislation resides with an elected Parliament, not with the Monarch.

How many times have we had to explain this to you?

Constitutional monarchy is a contradiction in terms.

House of Lords say anything to you?

Just in that chamber a you will find more nepotism than in the entire nation of Argentina from La Quiaca to Ushuaia, from 1810 to 2015.

The House of Lords has little to no real executive power, so your umteenth attempt of moral equivalence has failed yet again. However, admittedly, the HoL is a silly tradition.

Maximo will never be president. 'Moderate' Ks hate him and he has zero - 0 - chances of getting elected unless, of course, massive fraud is committed. But then I think Argentina is headed for civil disorder. People have had enough.

    https://www.yahoo.com/travel/the-most-overrated-city-in-the-world-is-115405879372.html

“However, 18 percent of respondents pointed to New York City as the most overrated city in the world. We admit the crowded trains, expensive goods and services, moody locals, and painfully hot summers can make the city unwelcoming. Guess it takes more than one visit to get in a New York state of mind. ”

    Las Vegas — 28%

    New York City — 18%

    Miami — 14%

    Paris — 11%

    Dubai — 7%

    Honolulu — 6%

    London — 3%

    Bora Bora — 2%

    Rome — 2%

    Sydney — 2%

    OUCH!!

7 of 10 cities in top 10 overrated by worldwide tourists are ANGLO!!

Is that a surprise? When I hear anglos here speak of the places they live, they paint the picture of no crime, 0% corruption, flower gardens, ponds of honey, children prancing and full of myrth, no homeless, no run-down housing, everything smelling like lavender and everyone wealthy with suntans.

Then the tourists go to New York and smell the massive open-air urinal, see the Pachyderm-sized rats in the hot run-down subway, are forced to pay 12 dollars for water, get verbally traduced by the locals, and spend their entire stay worrying about being irradiated by the many many people around the world with grievances against the USA... I can see how the experience can be overrated. :)

I have two close Argentine friends (one in Mendoza and another in San Juan) that share your view of your once great country. I've posted before that during the Allende years, we would cross the Andes over to what I thought was paradise.

It sincerely saddens me that while my country dug itself out of complete economic ruin, your country (which had the highest standard of living in Latin America) has done just about everything possible to become a failed state.

I hope your country takes a turn away from Peronism, as it affects all of us here in the region.

C'mon you guys, haven't you been predicting this for at least the last 2 years?

CFK can't run again, though she tried to get around the Constitution. Now, she's faced with lack of immunity after she's out of the Presidency.

    Plan B:
put Fat Max, FAX, F-Max, etc., in there to prolong the dynasty and protect Mummy and the Big Lie.

It's obvious. LA Campora will ensure it happens, and the other Peronists will back it, as it will ensure the truth of the regime's corruption won't be exposed.

Referring specifically to the USA: It's really the fault of the American government who has no real control of its borders and the routinely allow the worst segments of Latin America including violent criminal gangs. On the other hand, the United States has also tremendously benefitted from the wealth of human resources with many immigrants well educated, with strong family values and good work ethics. The Latino community should not be generalized any more than than immigrants from India, China or the Ukraine. The Americans just need to be more particular.

The vast majority of Latino's living in the USA have come from Central, not South, American nations. For that matter many people of Spanish descent can trace their ancestry from before there was even British or French colonies there. Why do you think so many places in the southern states have Spanish names?

As to modes of dress, even if the length of their shorts were an accurate reflection of the their character it's not confined to just latino kids. Far from it. In short I don't think you know much about either of the American continents.

We do however, have a problem in the city of Vancouver, with Hondurans entering on tourist visas to sell drugs, and send the money home.
According to local Police, they are in most cases, openly selling on street corners. They have reputation for violence and showing no remorse.
Usually they stay until they are arrested and deported. Some try to return.

Be it noted that they are NOT immigrants, nor do they dress in an identifiable manner.

I agree. Just like one can't lump people with Anglos. The majority of people alive aren't Anglos. Though a few Anglos are people. Just none here.

Nelson Mandela was an example of an Anglo who was a person, as was Martin Luther King. Good anglos. Carl Sagan was a good Anglo. Most good anglos are dead though.

What a very intellectually confused adolescent spewing racial gibberish we have here. The great Nelson Mandela was 100% racially African Xhosa. Martin Luther King of mixed West African and partial Northern European heritage and Carl Sagan was Ashkenazic Jewish American. All have in common the same Western Civilization Education that you'll find here in Chile, Argentina and Uruguay. The only difference is that at the University of La Campora students are taught that it's ok to steal from your neighbors and not pay your debts.

Now the amazing ignorant troll is becoming hopelessly lost in understanding that the Spanish definition of “los países anglosajones” actually includes a large segment of both the populations of Chile and Argentina. You can't define race by nationality. Here in Chile, we're a mix of Spanish, Basque, German, Scot, Irish, French, Swiss, Catalan, northern Italian, Croatian, Palestinian and Welsh. Only about 5% of Chileans are Mapuche. The names Pinochet and Bachelet are French, O'Higgins the first president of Chile was Irish.

What perhaps screwed up Argentina was too many immigrants from southern Italy along with post Spanish civil war communists...

Anyway, I like many Argentines, except when it comes to our national frontiers...

Anglos are a race in Argentina. Hispanics are a race in NorthAmoland.

Although some smug writers here claim that Argentina lives under a dictatorship, democracy has never been so alive and well in my home country.
Not only that. CFK is flying high in popularity. Briefly affected by the Nisman's affair, she is again over 40 per cent, a feat not many presidents at the end of a second mandate have achieved in the past.

Umm, well, OK. But a better question is: should not the Argentine politicians have a better read of the Argentine economic reality?
The economic illiteracy of the Argentine leadership is astonishing. The policies of your leaders to destroy the long-term prosperity of your country is only matched by countries like North Korea, Zimbabwe, and Venezuela. The only difference is that in those countries the leadership doesn't pretend to work in a framework of democracy; they just do what they want and let the people suffer. So will your people, if they are not already.

My paternal great grandfather arrived to Chile from Scotland as an engineer specializing in ships and my mothers side were wine producers from Catalonia.
For four generations, despite being Chilean, we've spoken English at home and attended British schools. The same mentality is shared in part by the German, French and Italian communities here. My wife is Chilean-German and it was an enormous battle for where to send our children; to a German or English language school. There are also excellent French and Italian primary language schools here as well. As far as country clubs, the same: Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Palestinian among others. Chile's army is a copy of Prussia and our navy is British.
In 1972 the Marxists expropriated 90% of my grandfather's farm, but we eventually recovered part of it. Today my family produces wine grapes, which selling to the larger wineries is far more profitable and less risky.
Like I said, I've been very fortunate in life, including my naval career which has been most of the time in reserves. Chile is like an isolated oasis of civility surrounded by populist narrow minded nationalists that blame their situation on outsiders.

Cariló and the beaches south of Mar del Plata are as beautiful as any beach on the Atlantic coast. Brown water? Wind? Have you been to Hawaii? Same thing there.

What Argentina really got going for her is beautiful (and resourceful) nature; if you have to p*ss on that aspect of this country as well, you are clearly nothing but a hater. Peronism, the K gov't, the mafia idiosyncrasy, however, are all fair game. Please try to be smart.

Jonaz, I've had this discussion about the beaches in Argentina on here before. Carilo is a Pulte subdivision in the woods on the beach. There's absolutely nothing to do there. Absolutely nothing to do. Plus there are houses very close to each other so there is no privacy. Its not my idea of a vacation.
The whole Arg coastline is windy, I've never been anywhere that you had to have a tent on te beach to stay out of the blowing wet cold sand.

There are some very nice natural parts of Argentina but if you are a foreign traveler you can certainly skip all the beaches and know you've not missed anything.

I find it so strange that Rgs always take such great offence when you talk negatively about anything to do with Argentina. You're taught from birth everything is “the best” in Argentina and you take great offense when someone tells you its not. There's nothing in your country that's not nicer somewhere else.
Cleaner, safer, prettier, you just don't realize it because so few of your countrymen can afford to ever leave the country.

There are places I love, Bariloche, San Martin de Los Andes, the very remote islands of Tigre, and there's more so don't get your panties in a bunch just because I think the beaches suck because I know deep down you agree with me.
Its just in your nature to have to fight about it.
    Accept it and move on.

There are many points that YB and I will never agree on but he is right that Argentine beaches are lousy, I would go to one voluntarily and Argentine with money don't either. But, then again, I would choose to go to an English beach, there are some outstanding beaches but the weather is unpredictable.

@92 What a sad life you have. There is no reason at all that you should have to deal with 'Anglos' every day. I thought you told me you had nothing whatsoever to do with them so which is it?

@105 How is Argentina your 'home country'? You don't live there. It might be your country of birth but unless you live and pay tax there it cannot be called your home. That you love the idea of it is evident so why not head back there? I think you will be very disappointed at the changes.

OK, he is clearly now moving into the spotlight, with sycophantic praise from his mother’s subordinates, which may be the norm in Argentina but is somewhat strange to us, to say the least.

Many of our politicians are former barristers and such like, so can at least debate, has this guy ever been allowed to speak un-scripted, never mind answer questions, especially hostile ones (a pre-requisite here)?

When does he give him first TV interview would be the only question here.

Perhaps these are the cultural differences at work, but without even a degree or previous success at something, a drop out and that’s it!

The Sun/Mirror ect papers, would have him suicidal within a week.

With his appearance, comedians would be dying laughing during their own acts, no joke.

Let's show some respect for the trolls here. Try not to humiliate them as it might hurt their feelings.

Over the last year, rumours have mounted that the prominent bed pan cleaning specialist, with the poster name “Paulcedron” is transitioning into a woman. His appearance has changed in recent months including growing out his long hair and wearing coloured nail polish.

In an exclusive internet interview with Mercopress staff, he requested a new future username: “Paulinacedron” and openly admitted that he was going through gender reassignment.

It clearly fits in why he's a mentally challenged emotionally troubled envious pathetically ignorant pathological lying Campora wannabe thug with a drug damaged mind.

    LOL!

Anglos are a race in Argentina. Hispanics are a race in NorthAmoland.

Alberto Fujimori, Pele, Rigoberta Menchu, Giselle Bundchen, Sofia Vergara, Celia Cruz, Carlos Menem, are all the same race, under that definition.

It is the same concept here.

Voicedron has attempted to play the feigned 'self righteousness card'.

Normally so defensively alert to inaccuracies, or insinuation, he ignored the the significance of quotation marks around “uncles”.

Instead, he tried the gambit of suggesting that I had defamed his War Hero relatives that died fighting for King and Country.

“Uncles” was a euphemism for “gentleman friends”.

He likely has a dreadful upbringing.

BTW, who casually uses crass street terms for brawling, like “glassing in the face”.

I don't think he has ever moved in polite circles...
