Cue the trolls blaming the Falklanders instead of their own greed!

    It's ALWAYS somebody else's fault.

When will they learn to do things like the FIG and CONSERVE the seas over which they fish?

Fortunately, other species came up a little otherwise it would have been a total disaster.

Yes you are right first time “ the stinky isleters ” told the squid not to venture into the area ( laugthingly called Argentine Sea ) because the naughty Argies would decimate there stock.

No Paulito, the stocks in the vast, VAST, VAST British territories of land and sea in the S. Atlantic/Antarctic, are fine.

It’s only in Argentinian waters that population crashes are happening.

No wonder the Islanders want FA to do with them.

@2. Of course you do. In the darkest part of every night, stealthy Falkland Islanders and English sail thousands of miles to catch a fish.

An in-depth investigation shows that one possible problem is that argies prefer poaching. This is made more difficult by the presence of fishery protection vessels HMS Clyde and, quite often, one of the new Daring class destroyers. There's also, quite often, a nuclear-powered submarine. This type of unit is useful as it can snag nets and tow poaching vessels for hundreds of miles!

Paule - I am suspicous of the 300% increase in Toothfish - are these all legitimatley caught in a sustanable fishery down south in your Antarctic area - or are a lot of them just caught on the high seas with no proper conservation licence?

Toothfish in the British South Georgia and Ant Waters Area is very very tightly controlled - every box of fish caught has to come up to the Falklands where it is check weighed onshore against the permit total for the vessel. All under strict Int control from CCAMLAR.

and the english committed the absolute worst with deepwater horizon.

Paulie- Funny then tht several penguin breeds including the Rockhoppers are increasing and Black-Browned Albatrosses have increased bigtime.
Also that this eason so far is another bumper season for Ilex in our EEZ - but then I forget - Falklands practises strict maritime resources conservation and we alway make sure plenty of squid are left to multiply up for the next year,s stock.
As for the Albatross increases - well we have been Int recognized and around South Georgia for having one of the world,s best anti bird-bycatch measures in place.

Well I mean when they arrest you for some bicycle infraction and 15 minutes later you end up in the back of a police car with your neck severed and your spine twisted 80 degrees, that is one f---ed up country.

But I knew that ever since they shot 26 six-year olds in their classroom. It is a shitty country.

I often wonder why the black communities the world over do not peacefully demonstrate rather than trashing their own community, strange that, can't say I understand the logic.
@41 we are pleased to know your feelings regarding the USA, so we are glad that you , if you are serious, will not step foot in the USA. Thanks for that, I am sure they will be very relieved. I used to work for the prison service and was surprised to see the ethnic mix in prison, 45% were black and yet on the outside the mix was 8% . So if you work out the percentages you will see who commits the most crime or gets caught for it. Unfortuneately freedom of expression is taken as being a rascist in most countries.

@42 There is more than one way to look at that statistic. The colour line still exists in the U.S.. You might want to adjust that thought that more black people are prosecuted and receive longer and more harsh penalties. It is a fact.

@41 You really need to get some first-hand experience rather than draw your conclusions from the T.V. You can't judge a country on a few incidents. The fact that Ed Sheeran did a concert in Buenos Aires and had his phone stolen while he was on stage does not necessarily mean all Argentines are thieving bastards. You see? You have to get some perspective and personal experience. Not once in all the time I was in Argentina did I have my phone stolen. Mind you, I never left it unattended.

The British “education” system apparently also teaches them that Argentina did not exist until like 1863 or some risible date as such (because before it was the “United Provinces”)

By which would also mean the UK did not exist until 1922, when the country had a name change from “United blah blah and Ireland” to “blah blah and Northern Ireland”.

Which would also make the Antarctic claim void.

But then we are letting the narrative be derailed by the facts.

Don’t be stupid Toby, you can argue that Argentina is the successor state to the UP, but not that the UP was therefore Argentina, when it clearly could not have been.

You should note that since 1863 Argentina has radically changed its borders, but claims to have remained Argentina.

Your arguments are becoming completely ridiculous.
