Argentina's Justice Carlos Fayt, the oldest member of the Supreme Court (97) and questioned by the government of president Cristina Fernandez, which demands evidence of his health and mental conditions, has said through his lawyer, Jorge Rizzo that he is not concerned about a possible impeachment hearing raised against him, since 'he is used to this kind of attacks'. President is furious because she was not getting her own way. No surprise there then, beware the wounded animal. Is it always like this in Argentina, that everybody gets in a strop when not getting their own way? I understand that most Latinos are hot tempered ( I know because I was married to one ) but honestly just move on. No wonder they all get hetup about the FALKLANDS not being Argentinian.

As much as I despise the Kthugs they do have a point.
97 and still working?? His days were over 30 years ago.
They want him out before the election so they can install another paid K.

According to the cabinet chief, a press conference could “prove if a Mr. Fayt can fend for himself and if, facing the interrogation, he can at least answer the minimum questions they (reporters) will make him because what is said is that he is not ok.”

Are press conferences in his job description or contract? Does Kirchner do press conferences? So she's an incapable nutjob, right? How easy it is to make the Animal look stupid. He does most of the 'work' himself. Not that there's much 'work'. Just take a look at that soup strainer.

What a comment on Argentine governments, “ I'm used to this... ”

Political lies and intimidation and disrespect, towards a veteran, well-regarded Judge, who happens to disagree with the Government.

His Office too, is being disrespected- for rendering an objective opinion, not aligned with the suspects of legal and ethical misconduct.

In Argentina, it is expected, by those who should know best, the Judiciary!

    Sad state of affairs.

“Why doesn’t he receive the media and carry out a normal life for a day?” the head of ministers said on Wednesday upon his arrival to the government house and urged 97-year-ol Fayt to “come out to the door of his house to talk, as he used to do in another time.”

and why the fuck fernandez de kirchner does not receive the media?
anyway, fayt answering questions from his house is a lot more worthy than the whole cabinet giving “conferences”.

the problem is not if fayt is still in charge, the problem is that boudou is not in jail.

now do yourselves a favour, you isleters, and do not opine about you dont know a shite.

    got it?

@8. Yes but, whilst much of what you say can be agreed with by intelligent people, why aren't you as dead and buried as you deserve? In fact, let's drop the 'dead'. Buried. Earth in your eyes, your nose, your mouth, your throat. Problem?

It is true that the government wants to appoint more judges to the Supreme Court. It is also true that the opposition does not want to hear about any changes to it--not even to replace resigning Judge Zaffaroni.
Now that the government puts into question the competence of veteran Judge Carlos Fayt, the opposition is crying elder abuse, though in judicial circles is well-known that staff work through his files because the veteran judge is not longer able to do so.
Fayt failed to appear even to deny his incapacity, adding credibility to the rumour.
In any event, no one can debate the need to have competent judges in the Supreme Court, so after a formal process Fayt will probably end up retiring--which he surely deserves at 97.

Paul, Didn't you claim there was “lots” of building going on in BA?
There were only 23 permits issued so far this year for commercial buildings.
    Whoops.
    Are your pants on fire?
No wonder you're angry and lashing out

the problem here is that you cannot understand some basic things.
one thing are the “permisos de obra” and another are the buildings which are already in construction.
and those buildings in construction are limited to the “corredor norte”, the north part of the city and the north part of the AMBA.

nobody expects that you can understand it anyway, so do not worry.

anyhow, it is true that the new permisos de obra in the city of BA are below par.
so in 2014 there were just +/- 800.000 m2 of obra nueva, when the standard is 2 millions.

60% less building in 2014, than “the usual”?

When was it last “2 millions”, if ever in the last decade?

Either way, sounds like fewer 'bricks' are getting laid.

    before the cepo.
anyway, do you understand what the fuck are we talking here?
do you know what the fuck a square meter is?
or the difference between permisos de obra and avisos de obra?
    no?

    exactly.
you guess because you know nothing.

the fact is that this government has destroyed the industria de la construcción, la actividad inmobiliaria, etc.

anyway, in certain neighbourhoods, the industry is active just because of the immense creativity of architects, engineers and developers.

Your own link seems to support the notion that the industry is NOT viable, unless builders go to extraordinary measures to overcome obstacles, and that only a few have managed to pull it off - they are the exceptions!!

can you be even more imbecile than what i expected?
    is that possible?
all the shrinks in the world say that it is impossible.
anyway, you have demonstrated once more that you can overcome yourself in terms of stupidity.

now lets see if you can understand a pair of things:
“ in other words, the industry has collapsed due to internal ARGENTINE problems.”
    yes, boludo.
    and what did you think?
that it was due to BOLIVIAN problems, you reverendo boludo?

“Your own link seems to support the notion that the industry is NOT viable, unless builders go to extraordinary measures to overcome obstacles, and that only a few have managed to pull it off - they are the exceptions!!”

    exactly, you imbecile x 1000000000.
well done, you finally could understand something.
now, you tell me where the fuck is the contradiction with what i posted?

have you ever seen a medic, shrink, exorcist, whatever to try to fix those problems in your tiny little brain?

So, in conclusion, despite your nastiness, and insistence that Arg is wonderful, Yankeeboy @16 is absolutely correct - and he arrived at that conclusion on his own - it's there for all to see, quite plainly.
