Uruguay Sunday's department and municipal elections resulted mostly as forecasted with no major surprises, and as advanced by MP 9 May, in the capital Montevideo, with half the country's electorate, the two promising candidates have effectively been the elected mayor, Daniel Martinez and Edgardo Novick, a successful businessman and non political figure, who now becomes head of the opposition. It does make me wonder about MP just parroting one of the government supported news outlets.

“No surprises” other than NOVICK, a businessman came from nowhere to become second and leader of the opposition? Guess where he will be if he manages another blistering rise in votes in 2020?

BTW he knocked out La Tronca the harridan wife of No Money Pepe who having stood by her on all the platforms during the lying process didn't bother turning up at her “piss off we don't want you” presentation which was supposed to be her acceptance speech as Mayor. Oh, JOY!

AND, they lost Maldonado, so now we are free of the Pizza Parlour Manageress, a friend of NMP who was made the Departmental Head of Oncology FFS! She had to have an additional layer of doctors to “advise” her so she didn't end up killing people! You couldn't make it up in a grown up country, but here, heh, if NMP wants to pad the wage bill with his women friends who is going to bother? Not his 'wife' obviously.

I haven't had so much fun since Chavez croaked!

Chris, you are the only one laughing, FA got 55% of the votes. The fact that the pink ones joined forces in Montevideo and still lost by a wide margin, is far overshadowing the fact that more people voted on Novick personally. The personal votes only counts within the groupation, and really only shows a more united front... From the pinkies....

Good luck betting on that horse, you really need to read Uruguayan history...

But indeed, laugh you on, I think I can see the fun from your perspective... Kind of...

“you really need to read Uruguayan history...”

Oh I have and it doesn't take long to understand that THAT is one of the problems: the pollies are always looking over their shoulder.

If only they could grow up, believe in themselves and stop the graft for their mates I would have respect for them.

You seem to have overlooked Novick and his Independent Party: they have La Tronca, your heroine, shitting her knickers; just read some of her comments and THINK about them if you don't believe me. I can spot a frightened pollie a mile off.

Chris, when I said history, I meant stuff that happened around the time of your birth and prior to that.

As for her comments, she said: “They joined forces in order to beat FA and the only ones to disappear where the Blancos and the Colorados.”

You will never admit the truth about your fabled Tupas, will you?

A small bunch of unelected malcontents led by a failed Lawyer attacked and robbed banks and gun stores to fund and equip their seditious behaviour and the citizens stood by to “see what would happen”.

And guess what happened: the all too predictable escalation into murder and mayhem that any elected government would struggle to control because they would not be able to act outside the law. The citizens looked on in horror at what the Tupas had become but were powerless to do anything about it.

Acting outside the constrictions of respectability was what it needed and a strong person to control it to stop over-abuse.

The failure to do that was where it all went wrong for Uruguay and let the door open for the Military.

The Tupas were then and still are a bunch of murdering bastards to which the present citizens cannot relate to any longer. Just wait and see if I am wrong.

Don't quote 55%, you have bought the votes of the stinking uneducated poor: the very people No Money Pepe has consigned forever to be with the hand-outs.

Well, the Tupas got an official apology from the Uruguayan state, together with a pension for being victims of state terrorism.

But go ahead and write your own history Books, Chris

Your good lady will be cleansing the fridge, waiting in awe for your future accomplishments...

Ha, ha, ha, do you really think ANYBODY is going to fall for that little lie?

The morons who gave the murdering bastards an 'apology' and a 'pension were not the elected government that was the subject of the seditious attacks on a properly elected government, were they.

They were Broad Front and the Tupa vermin, weren't they, or as close to swearing as uttering 'No Money Pepe' is!

Must try better, because this is shit.

Of course I did. Better yet, I remember when it happened, as it happened.
It all began with Gelman and a court decision. You remember the apology?

And the pensions to every Tupa that did jailtime?

We can afford it, Chris. We just need to bring in fat, old pensionist avoiding taxes in their own countries...

But there is no “WE” for you!

    YOU don't live here.

Didn't you know that? Delusions like you are showing could be the sign of an impending breakdown.

Of course I do, Chris :)

See me as the Uruguayan collecting the pension for being victim of state terrorism.
While you are the guy avoiding taxes in UK.

I thank you for choosing Uruguay.

    Paid your share this month?

Still lying about me not paying my taxes in the UK, I see?

Your posts are getting more pathetic by the minute.

You know what I cautioned you about: keep lying and the mental problems you suffer from will come back quicker each time and be deeper each time.

Soon you will be unable to distinguish fantasy from reality: you are a hair's breadth away at the moment.
