I thought the “Dope on a rope” was supposed to be above politics.

Be much better if he cleaned up the RCC: still too many kiddie fiddlers left in the Popery.

What a shame. Recognising a 'state' of terrorists and criminals. How can I say that? On occasion, I've read the Bible. Perhaps others have as well. What's the capital of the Kingdom of Israel? Isn't it Jerusalem? Where did King Solomon construct the First Temple? Jerusalem. Where was the Second Temple constructed? Jerusalem. Don't you put your centre of religious worship in your capital? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem_temple#Second_Temple

I wonder at Pope whatever his name is. Doesn't the Second Temple play a significant role in the biblical story? Has he decided that Johnny come lately Islam was okay to build over the site of the Temple?

And this is the city and area that the so-called 'palestinians' intend to have as 'their' capital. Anyone remember the arabic, islamic, 'palestinian' intention to destroy Israel? The land from the sea to the River Jordan, and some on the other side, have belonged to the Hebrews, Israelites, Jews and Israelis for at least 3,500 years. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerusalem_temple#Second_Temple
Jews have been demonised, persecuted and murdered for at least 1,500 years. Much of it in the West. But most of the world has taken part. I remain proud that Britain was the first to declare the right of those people to their homeland. And where else should they have that homeland than where they came from? Neither so-called 'palestinians', arabs nor muslims have any right to that territory.

Don't we all know that Islam is a cult of hatred and murder? Whether you believe in Christianity or not, the pope is a powerful leader. Supposedly of the Christian, western world. And who does he kow-tow to?

3 - Todays Israelites are just part Jewish randomers from any given place and time.

I always find it funny to see white american Jews with lineage from every corner of the globe arriving in the local area and telling these Semitic Palestinians, half of whom probably have relatively stronger Jewish family history , that the land belongs to the Jewish people on the basis of them having 1 half Jewish parent.

So a family lineage like Russian Christian, Swedish Christian, Danish Christian, French Christian, French Muslim, Balkan Muslim, Hungarian Christian, Romanian Muslim, Swiss Christian, German Jewish, American half Jewish, American quarter Jewish.

    Beats out.

Israeli Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israelis Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israeli Jewish, Israeli half Muslim/Jewish, Israeli Muslim, Palestinian Muslim.

for the prize of the land of the long gone ancient Israelites who have since dispersed like the wind leaving children in every distant part of the globe.

What does it take, a Jewish grandparent and you win some land. Theres randomers in China who have never heard of Judaism and who have a Jewish grandparent for no other reason than a drunken census taker.

He really deserves to be killed by the ISIS boys...

I've often had harsh things to say about the Pope and his actions (or more often lack of them) , but on this occasion he is absolutely right to stand against the grand theft of Palestinian lands, and the eradication of an entire peoples. You would have thought the Israelis of all the people in the world would have had some compassion. Sadly not it seems as Israeli settlers attack Palestinians, burn their olive groves and houses, shoot their children without any legal recourse.
    Free Palestine.

You would have more respect from me if you blamed the main protagonist Yasser Arafat.

How would you like to be in a small country, your own country if you have ever read the Old Testament, surrounded on all sides by enemies whose only aim is your utter destruction?

They are not interested in peace talks and it is easily explained thus:

    If the Arabs laid down their arms there would be PEACE;

If the Jews laid down their arms there would be no more Jews.

FUCK the Arabs for what they are: Muslim scum.

Try looking at the Saudi Princes and where they spend their U$D millions: the Jihadists who attack western countries.

If it wasn't for the oil they could glass over ALL the Arabs as far as I am concerned.

I don't think anybody's ever expected nuclear armed regional superpower Israel to lay down its arms.

There have been innumerable attempts to broker peace, on the other hand, without anybody suggesting any such thing, but but it should be clear by now that the Likudniks have elected for a strategy of conquest and consolidation instead, and think they can limit violence to acceptable levels for themselves by killing hundreds of women and children every so often, “pour encourager les autres”.

If the Palestinians are not willing to recognize the State of Israel, and in fact want to see it destroyed, then I dont see why Israel should feel oblidged to respect the Palestinian borders or lands either.

Of course not. You can't usurp somebody else's country, drive the inhabitants out, establish a religiously based state, and respect their borders and lands at the same time. Sheesh.

Yes, and they considered themselves Arabs. And they are actually transjordanian immigrants that settled in Israel as the Jews had made the land fertile and the economy grow again.

After all there was no such thing as Iraq, Siria, Lebanon nor Jordan. All artificial countries. This is just another one.

Would that be the 5,000 Jews living in Palestine in 1517 (1.7%) or the 60,000 in 1918 (8.1%) or the 6,000,000 in 2014 (75.2%)?

Excuse me, but I'm just wondering how it can be that the Palestinians are transjordanian immigrants who came after the Jews, when there were so few Jews until recently? Take the figure for 1918, for example. If 8% of the population was Jewish, who were the other 92%? Tourists?

Numbers, by the way, are from a book by one Itamar Rabinovich and Jehuda Reinharz, quoted by the Jewish Virtual Library (which curiously unlike yourself seems to recognise the existence of an entity called Palestine.)

They were citizens of the Ottoman Empire, Druze, Christians, Jews, Bedouins and Turks and having lived under Turkish yoke for half a millennia they never complained nor called themselves “Palestinians”

There was EVER such thing as a Palestinian leader nor King.

They are immigrants because a small number of Jews that arrived in early XX Century from Europe increased the water supply and farm land which actually enabled a 7 fold increase in Arab population as there was an increase in food production, plus all capital investment that flood into the British Mandate created enough jobs to sustain them.

This absurd piece of sophistry has been repeatedly demolished by credible historians and demographers, many of them, incidentally, Jewish themselves.

Wiki has a nice summary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographic_history_of_Palestine#The_question_of_late_Arab_immigration_to_Palestine

The rest is your usual evasion via semantics. The rights of the indigenous inhabitants aren't dependent on what they called themselves, or where the former colonial borders were drawn.

    22. Hamas,

Absolutely nobody has demolished anything, other than that WIKIPEDIA post with the typical “open to your judgment like ending”.

The fact of the matter the Jews made significant increase of agricultural production and land use, and enabled a increase in a much larger population of Arabs during the period late XIX to 1948. That is a undisputed fact even in your own and unique source Wikipedia. You can hide the number of immigrants but you can’t hide the number of Arabs that increased during the time period.

Mark Twain account on the Lands of Palestine/Israel in 1867
    quote
“[a] desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse....A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action....We never saw a human being on the whole route....There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

There is no debate about that no matter how you try to spin it.

There was absolutely NO increase of the same proportion of Arabs in Jordan, Lebanon, Sinai, nor Syria. The same climate, the same lands, the same resources + oil and gas. But backward shitholes none the less whilst Israel stands as a beacon of achievement and human progress in the desert.

Besides Why didn’t they complain during the 1948 to 1967 they were under Egyptian and Jordanian occupation ????

Just face the fact and reality Jews have a much higher IQ than Muslims. They are far more superior and advanced.

Why the fuck do you want another shithole Arab throwback country as if there were not already too many and they compromise 20% of human population?????

So what I'm supposed to believe to now is that the early Zionists, having found a land without a people for a people without a land, decided the best way to build a Jewish homeland would be to bring in 7 times their number of Arabs, in what must have been one of the biggest migrations of the early 20th century, and somehow mysteriously it's not just is there's no trace of this in any record anywhere, it's actively contradicted by the records that do exist, and any credible historian that ever looked at it.

I'd be a bit careful, if I were you, of espousing this sort of Ubermenschen/untermenschen view of the world when you're capable of swallowing such evident horseshit, especially when the irony of espousing it in support of Israel is apparently lost on you.

Are you beyond stupid?? Has your PC gestapo office UK erased maths from your schools yet??

Do I really need to go over this??

Errrr......Yes, because thats how economical development worked, and there was no reason why early Jewish settlers would have know what a bunch of ungrateful jalous cunts the filthy and backward arabs would become.

No its a matter of FACT, NOBLE PRIZES, Cientific resarch, agricultural development, hidrology, medicine, computing and sofware.. All Israeli/ Jewish accomplishments.

What have the Ragheads given the world but a pedophile prophet, terrorism and subjugation of women??? F all is the answer, and dont come with bullshit they stole from Persians, Byzantines and Indians over a millenia ago.

How about earning someones respect before winning and bitching. Just for once???

Thanks for confirming what I thought.

I just wonder what all those Nobel prize winners must make of holocaust deniers, the mentally challenged and the foaming at the mouth rallying to the Zionist cause? Some of them saw this coming a long way off. Einstein, for example, was already freaked out about the attitudes of future Prime Minister the terrorist Menachem Begin as far back as 1948 :

    http://users.physics.harvard.edu/~wilson/HUMANRIGHTS/Einstein%20Letter%20Warning%20Of%20Zionist%20Facism%20In%20Israel.html

It's not quite the image Israel has historically tried to project, of course, but it's hard to sustain that when your behaviour is so in contradiction with your bullshit that even the Catholic Church has taken note.

    @29

What? This isn't just any old Jewish Nobel Prize Winner we're talking about here, this is the pre-eminent Jewish Nobel Prize Winner, and indeed probably the pre-eminent Nobel Prize Winner of all time. And suddenly he doesn't count because of some Internet thing? Evidently there's more to this Nobel Prize Indicator of Worth than I thought.

In fact when I do think of it, there's lots of aspects I'm having trouble getting my head round. For example out of about 200 Jewish Nobel Prizes, only 11 have gone to Israelis. Does this mean Jews outside Israel are higher up on the totem pole than Jews inside? And the Jewish winners are predominantly Ashkenazi. What about the Sephardim and the Mizrahim? They've barely got a couple to scrape together between them, so does that mean they're lower down on the Jewish part of the totem pole, or does some of the Ashkenazi magic dust rub off? What about those Ethiopian Jews that have been objecting to the slot on the pole that's been assigned to them in Israel recently? Any magic dust for them?

Speaking of which, I'm also wondering if there's enough to go round. On a per capita basis, Israel is only about 11th on the totem pole of countries. with no less than 4 Scandinavian countries ahead of it. Does that mean the Scandinavians are entitled to a chunk of the former Ottoman Empire too?

And what about the pieds noirs, while we're at it? How many Nobels have they got? There's Albert Camus, of course, but apart from the fact that he wrote a book about killing an Arab, I wouldn't have thought he was your kind of guy at all.

    All very perplexing!

    Who said they were?

I don't think it's particularly germane which community Zionist terrorists come from. The real stars of that show - Abraham Stern, Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir (two Israeli Prime Ministers no less), Baruch Goldstein were European or American, Yigal Amir the assassin of Rabin was of Yemeni origin, and I'm not too sure about Yosef Ben David, but he's now claiming insanity anyway. Begin's the only case I know of a terrorist winning the Nobel Peace prize. There's some more irony for you.
