Jun 27th, 2015 - 04:16 am - Link - Report abuse 0She's just perfect as the President of Argentina.

Jun 27th, 2015 - 06:17 am - Link - Report abuse 0I agree. She has not stuffed enough money in her accounts yet, but she is getting there. I think the next President, whoever is in charge will have a very difficult task to bring the economy around, if it is possible. The Argentine population is in for a shock when the next encumbant steps up to the plate. It happened in the UK when the Tories took over , there was a note saying there is no money left .
Ms Wornat; Asbestos suit... particles are adverse to health, thus not at a good analogy.
Jun 27th, 2015 - 08:34 am - Link - Report abuse 0She is a survivor. She knows just how to manipulate a significant proportion of the Argentine population. She plays them well like the puppet master she is.

Jun 27th, 2015 - 11:06 am - Link - Report abuse 0The world has always had its eyes on dictatorships.
When a populace has been beaten into poverty and ignorance, it will always cling to hollow, lying promises. Fernandez's popularity rises in the stench of desperation which she and her political machine has created, fostered and perpetuated. Although not all Argentines are weak sheep, THE MAJORITY ARE, thanks to this monster, who is a Liar and Thief!
The BBC really should try harder and drop the 'concerned fellow' crap and start seeing the world for what it is: full of thieves, crooks and TMBOA.
Jun 27th, 2015 - 11:25 am - Link - Report abuse 0Both of them need to go or be put out of OUR misery.
When a pig is at the trough they are indeed hard to chase away.
Jun 27th, 2015 - 12:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0There is no perfect leader--hey, even the head of a family faces decisions every day and even the best is bound to make mistakes from time to time. However, Argentines do separate the wheat from the chaff and see what the main thrust of Cristina's government is: to re-industrialize the country, making it economically independent while improving the lot of the poorest.
Jun 27th, 2015 - 03:09 pm - Link - Report abuse 0The selfish, the privileged, the ignorant haters who buy the blatant lies told by media baron Héctor Magnetto every day, are increasingly despondent.
That never happened before, and has ensured Cristina--as well as Néstor Kirchner--a unique place in Argentine history, no matter what happens in October.

Jun 27th, 2015 - 04:05 pm - Link - Report abuse 0How is she re-industrialising the country?
How is she making Argentina economically independent?
Looks like she is indenting Argentina to the Chinese, and selling off the natural resources cheap.
As to the poor - she is making more of them!
11. Those are dog whistle Peronista words that have little to do with anything. Industrial production has fallen for the las 22 mos.

I think when the books are audited they'll find they're worse off in every measure than they were in 2000. Every measure and much worse off.
The Tsunami of inflation is coming.

Jun 27th, 2015 - 05:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0There will obviously be a need to invent a new currency just like they have done many, many, times in the past.
Should we start a competition to name this wondrous new currency for the argies to 'invest' in?
My guess would be: Arsewipe or papel higiénico in a lovely shade of brown.
Sociopaths have a habit of surviving and even thriving under a myriad of circumstances. Remember Stalin was a survivor. I imagine the 60 million people who he murdered were none too happy. Argentines love to elect sociopaths especially since the Argentine King of sociopaths Peron

Even if you are Malvinenses and wish Argentina to disappear from the map, this is not going to happen. Future Argentina governments will keep claiming the islands. In the meantime, posting insults and diatribes is as useful as trying to cover the sun with your hand.
Jun 28th, 2015 - 01:40 am - Link - Report abuse 0Really, people, refusing to see the reality is not a sign of intelligence.
Here's a British media outlet telling you something, and all you can come with is your tired collection of inanities and platitudes. Don't you ever get tired of being at such a low level?
Every government has something he can be criticized for, look for those things given that Kirchnerism is not only not going away but has even the possibility of winning on first round.
That may be a better use of your time.
16 Enrique Massot . . . It is you who miss the point: We all know that Argentine dishonesty, crass arrogance and self serving blindness to the rights of others is not going to go away.
Jun 28th, 2015 - 03:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0And, we go on about how petty, dishonest, and low the Argentine government and the criminal element of Argentine society is because each of us writing here has been either hurt by direct actions of Argentines or, even at a distance are astounded and offended by the enormity of Argentina's blindness as to how their actions are viewed by the world and how offensive Argentine pettiness is to any sane person who was raised in a decent family.
Argentina is now a totalitarian state disguised as a democracy.
'a very intelligent political animal'
Jun 28th, 2015 - 05:51 am - Link - Report abuse 0A better translation would be 'as cunning as a shit house rat but not as attractive'.
WHAT DID I TELL YOU TWO YEARS AGO?.
Jun 28th, 2015 - 05:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0When Sergio Massa won the elections in the province of Buenos Aires, the so called independent press, started repeating again about the soposed end of cycle of kirchnerism.
In 2013, after the result of parliamentary elections, where C. F. K's party was the most voted of the country, which is a priviledge that not many political parties around the world can have, after having ruled a nation for ten years, i told many people that it was pretty premature to talk about an end of cycle.
When i saw that the reactionary press from this country asked Massa desperately to form a big coallition with Macri, in order to try to win C. F. K's government, is because they know perfectly that her party has still big chances of winning in october, otherwise, it wouldn't be necesary to ask the opposition to form any big front to win the elections. Anyway, i would be very irresponsable if i said that her party will be victorious, because we still must see what kind of lecture our citizens do, of the actual social situation.
What some of the people who hate kirchnerism don't want to see, is that even if f. p.v loses the elections, most kirchnerism's legacy won't be able to be dismantled, because people have already empowered of the achievements that workers could get since 2003, in fact, even a reactionary like Macri said that in case that he's elected as president, he's disposed to keep them, which shows that in the context of the actual Argentina, there is not so much social acceptance for the pathetic neoliberalism that he represents, that's why reality forces him to say that he wants to keep the achievements, but at the same time, he doesn't have enough dignity in order to defend the two debts restructurings, and fight against the extortion of the vultures and Griesa, because actualy he represents that kind of capitalism.
Btter the devil you know, hey..

Jun 28th, 2015 - 10:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0 Future Argentina governments will keep claiming the islands
And a claim without a convincing case will yield exactly the same result.
If Argentina really want the Islands they need to:
1/- Convince the Islanders that being a part of Argentina is the best possible scenario for them.
Or 2/- Make a convincing case to the ICJ.
Or 3/-Stage another illegal invasion of the Islands and succeed in that invasion.
