Jul 02nd, 2015 - 12:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Brazil has never fought a modern war.
Why you keep posting ridiculous videos is beyond me.
It really makes you and your country looks stupid and weak.
BTW I hope you saw the new agreement that subjugates Brazil's military to the USA just signed by Dilma.
:)
Brazil is a country of peace. We never go into war again. Except if we are invaded by some power.
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 12:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0:)
Then why do you post ridiculous military videos showing how inept your people are and how old and out of date your equipment is?
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 12:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0FYI you're already at war in the Favelas fighting and killing your own people.
This new guy who came in to solve the problems of the economy clearly had not thought it through before he took the job.
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 01:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But a drop in tax revenues caused by a sharp economic contraction is complicating Finance Minister Joaquim Levy's efforts to shore up the country's finances after years of heavy spending.
Really, WTF would have thought that?
ANYBODY with a modicum of real world experience.
Oh dear, back to a video:

Jul 02nd, 2015 - 03:29 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I would bet most everyone in Brazil would give up a treasured body part to live in Baltimore.
I know Baltimore and frankly I prefer Curitiba. In fact, in the US there is no more pleasant city than Curitiba.

As a consequence, the entire state of Sao Paulo, with a population of 40 million inhabitants, is undergoing a deadly dengue fever outbreak. In the SPMA, where the situation is really dramatic because of the limited access to water, the government created many improvised ambulatories throughout the city to attend the population with symptoms of the disease. Officials go door-to-door searching for infectious mosquito larvae and educating the population about the disease. However, all these measures have proven to be inefficient to control the dengue larvae proliferation.
The videos about the favela of Rocinha are excellent. Whenever I can I go to Rio de Janeiro. For me it is the most beautiful city in the world!

its pretty if you don't mind getting held up on the beach and you look past all the beggars and the slums.
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 08:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yeah real pretty.
You may have traffickers, however beggars is easier for you to find them in New York than in Rio.
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 08:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Regarding the slums, I think they have a unique culture. It's something indescribable.

I agree slums are hard to describe to someone from a civilized society.

He still would not be able to do either, he clearly has a limited intellect.
Being an avid PT / Lula supporter confirms that.
If ever you get the chance, watch the film City of God. Only one of the favela boys makes it out and to world-wide acclaim for his photographer and that part is absolutely real.
Chris, Funny you should mention that I just saw it on Netflix. Very good movie about a very sad place.
Jul 02nd, 2015 - 09:59 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Brazil will never make it into a developed country. It is impossible with so many slumdwellers. They just keep pulling every one down like crabs in a crab pot.

Jul 02nd, 2015 - 10:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I know Baltimore and frankly I prefer Curitiba. In fact, in the US there is no more pleasant city than Curitiba.
I have been to both cities quite a few times, and while Curitiba, compared to other Brazilian cities, is definitely quite nice, it is useless to compare it to Baltimore, or any other US city. Only an asshole would, and your statement that there is no city in the US, more pleasant than Curitiba, is proof that you know fuck all about the US. If you ever went to Baltimore, can only imagine it having been as a deck-hand on some Brazilian ship, which explains why your knowledge of the US would be rather limited (to port areas).
As for the 'Rocinha' and the other 'favelas' in Rio, what is undescribable, is the ugliness and horrible stench that they all have in common......no sewage system and precarious garbage collection, but you're probably used to that .
Your # 19 takes the prize though.... I love my country and I never asked what it can do for me, but what I can do for my Brazil.....doesn't sound very original, just a poorly expressed version of the end of one of JFK's well-known speeches....what a deluded turd you are, trying to compare yourself to JFK...
Brasshole você é um aborto da natureza ....
Brasshole, I'm surprised anyone talks to you in Curitiba, not great fans of your bollocks PT party there, you don't have far though to go for the Policia Federal there to come and get you, and chuck you in the Curitiba clink with all the other dishonest John's they've been rounding up.
