German Chancellor Angela Merkel pressed Brazil's government on Thursday to further open its markets to foreign companies, and said she saw an opportunity to reach a free-trade deal between the European Union and the Mercosur trade bloc. Merkel is on a two-day visit to Brazil with a large delegation of government officials and representatives from German companies. Read full article

Aug 21st, 2015 - 10:13 am - Link - Report abuse 0Yep you have friends in Europe - Germany, UK and others - and the sooner you see sense and ditch the nutters in Argentina and Venezuela the sooner a free trade agreement with the EU can happen.

@1. I thought you hated the west and Europe and the way forward is South-South partnerships. Considering that you were talking about China at the time, none of which is south of the equator, I had trouble with your conceptualisation. However, if we can start with the recognition that Germany is in Europe and is part of the west, can we hear about your new ideas? And about when China was moved? Or was that the opinion of one of your alter egos?
Aug 21st, 2015 - 11:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0The German-Brazilian partnership is very old. Even before German unification Brazil and Portugal have maintained very close relations with the German Catholic principalities (Bayern, Württemberg, Hessen, Thüringen, Sachsen) and the Catholic Österreich. In 1817 the heir to the Luso-Brazilian throne married a Habsburg princess from Österreich.

I see DumbAss was bowing down to the 'Iron Chancellor' then.
Aug 21st, 2015 - 01:16 pm - Link - Report abuse 0That makes sense, DumbAss would be in awe of Merkel for the simple fact she tells the EU what to do.
Brazil is a busted flush as far as independent investors are concerned.
Brasshole, we know you are close to Germany… the boys from Brazil..

So you admit that GERMANY, a WESTERN power is a friend of Brazil's......what does it take for you to change your opinion ? to see fat D shaking hands with a foreign dignitary ?? And of course, your only coherent line in all this, is that you support Dilma in WHATEVER she does.....If she told Lulla to fuck-off tomorrow, would you applaud her ? Or would you find yourself in a 'dilmaenna'...erhh, I mean dilemma ?? where will your loyalty lie if the fat D and Lulla have a fallout ??
@5 brASSHOLE
In my opinion Germany has more roots planted in the South than in the West.
Sure, the first German immigrants started arriving in Brazil about 200 years ago, and Germany has a strong presence in Brazilian industry, but your above opinion is pure bs......to you there is a bigger German presence in the South (what ? Brazil, Argentina ?) than in Europe itself and the USA ?? Once again, and just fyi - not that it'll do much good - the world, with regards to economic areas, is divided into East and West, not South and whatever...
@8
Nowadays, it's the boys from the PT.......just a bunch of sick, brainwashed a.holes.
@9 Ilsen
Your right....he thinks Portugal is in the southern hemisphere.....of course, if you're standing on your head while looking at the map of the world....

Brassiero, I mean Tobi, has shown again that he is Pro-Dilma, and NOT speaking for the Brazilian people as he claims.
He is Pro- CFK and Pro- Maduro, in the same way.
Generally, he is Pro anything he thinks will irk us... hence, a Tobi” alter -ego!
Wait... wait... I thought the BRICS were going to change the world...?

Free Trade agreement means free trade between Mercosur has beens such as Argentina and Eu countries including their overseas territories> So Argentina would need to trade freely and openly directly with the Falkland Islanders.
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 12:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Thats why Argentina is the dead weight in this agreement, cast her off Mercosur or continue in despair.
MercoSur is dead. I can't believe people don't realize it.
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 03:42 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Except for Uruguay and Paraguay the economies of MS are going into a deep recession or depression. All of them.
I wouldn't be surprised if they don't end up in Civil unrest.

Mercosur lives. Stronger and more powerful than ever before.
Aug 22nd, 2015 - 05:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Our alliances are made of diamonds. They are almost eternal, because we are true to our allies. Die for them if need be!
We do not want the supremacy. We want to live in peace with humanity. War is not a alternatina for us. If we have to wage a war is to kill everyone on the other side, until there remains no one. The war was not made for us.

But keep pumping that hand and dreaming.
Finally a Brazilian Judge is looking into Dilma's campaign contributions from dirty PBR $.

Aug 23rd, 2015 - 10:43 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Let's analyze your silly remarks :
You : Mercosur lives. Stronger and more powerful than ever before.
Yeh, right . Just like Lulla. One foot in grave, and the other one slip slidin' away. ...
You : We do not want the supremacy. .....
Well, as a country, there is little you could do about it, even if you tried. But as a party (PT) in Brazil, you do. You want to see Lulla crowned ....but don't worry, he already has been - as king of the petista assholes.
You : War is not a alternatina for us.
So, if war it is not an alternatiVE for you, why do you need allies ??
You : We want to live in peace with humanity......
Are you an alien ? Are the nasty 'humans' ' trying to destroy you ??
You claim you want to live in peace with humanity, yet you are belligerant and make it clear it has to be under your, and only your conditions....sounds a bit like the PT's 'democracy'.
You : ...until there remains no one........
You can be sure you'd be the first to get your stupid head blown off...
Brasshole, can you actually hear how infantile all your agressiveness sounds ? ...sh*****t, I'm trembling in my boots....brhhhhh
Argentina should tell Germany, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, and all other others to f--k off. We don't need any of them.

Sounds great Mrs. Merkel, but you need a valid, mature, responsible partner for such agreement and so far mercosur has proved it is not.

Aug 24th, 2015 - 05:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Ok, so Argentina should listen to you and tell all of Europe to f*ck off......all of Europe except Greece of course, the country that Argentina has a lot in common with , right ??
But looking on the bright side of your comment, maybe Europe should tell Argentina to f*ck off......they don't need Argentina...for anything.
