The official peso/dollar rate was 9.265 last thursday. My bet by the end of month the rate will be 9.295, any bets?

    2. BCRA is very close to a breaking point. I don't think they'll have the ability to “manage” that price for very much longer.

    Elections in Tucumán Aug. 23:
The Victory Front candidate gets 54 per cent, according to preliminary results.
A front uniting ALL the parties opposed to the Victory Front gets 40 per cent.
Strange when we read so many gloom and doom predictions of some “experts” in this board.

Reekie, How many polling stations and ballot boxes were burned to get to that figure?
    You make me sick.
    Physically sick
I wish a falcon had got you.

    7 yb:
Get as sick as you will--your hopelessness is understood.
Of course, with any passing day, any possibilities for your Mauricio candidate are rapidly evaporating.
You don't get 14 points difference even if you stuff some ballot boxes. (The jury is still out on the burning so I won't comment on that yet).
As for your Ford Falcon wishes, I get your intellect is unable to produce anything better. Too bad.
Many U.S. citizens, starting by very decent Jimmy Carter, have repudiated the kidnappings, torture and disappearances of the 1970s, Argentina has moved on, many kidnappers are in jail, and the falcons are just a sad memory.
Too bad for your hopes of returning to an Argentina more of your like. You will need to keep typing away in your mom's basement.

Reekie, Tear gas and rubber bullets to try to quell the peasant/opposition uprising in Tucuman. This isn't minor.

What makes me sick is not hopelessness for Argentina, I couldn't care less. I like watching it devolve. I've learned a lot about how apathy and corruption can ruin generations of people.
What makes me sick is someone as blatantly corrupted and ignorant as you. You've lived in a free market society for most of your life yet you admire the K swine the corrupted failed state that is ruining millions of lives. Its the same as the people who support Chavistas in food lines. You're insane. You're too old to be this stupid.
    That's what makes me sick.
It would have been better for Society for you to have been dispatched in the 70s.
Too bad you escaped. Too bad Canada gave you refuge.
    You make me sick.

The government response to the price of onions: Don't buy them.

Enrique, you don't have a candidate. You don't live in Argentina.

Maybe the civil unrest in Tucuman will spread to the rest of the country as the peso collapses.

I hope there is a total collapse while the dirty Ks are still in power.

I think we all want to see the right people punished for their crimes.

Will they get away with it? Most probably.

In Tucumán we see the forces of fascism. All sides must condemn this repression:

We must build together in the spirt of minga.

    14. I think the people who have kept them in power need to suffer greatly so they don't forget what got them into this mess in the first place.

Bloody street fighting, bare shelves, burned out cities is the only way they'll learn.

Looks like Tucuman protests are going well.
I guess they want a recount.

I hope this spreads in BA.
