Great article on how it all went wrong for Brazil:

Hopefully Brazil might learn this time and reform the hell out of their economy and political system. The start is to forget about political dynasties or comebacks. Unhitch from Venezuela and Argentina and engage with Europe and the US.

All the eggs went into one basket and the basket ended up having a hole in it.

Populists gert elected, but they never remain long in power because it is as bad for a country as communism. Now Brazil will suffer immensely to recover and 20 years were lost not to mention all the lives and millions of the best Brazilians who have left the country. PT is a desease that will be too difficult to cure and get rid of it.

    Neves will win.
I remember Serra in 2010 'running-off' . Serra's total abortion of the election process was a total embarrasment, and led to the Dilma 'win'.
I would never vote for Serra again ... but I would vote for Neves.

    Blind? I don't think so.
I've seen a million people on the streets - in Blair's days. You can't but see them!

Equally, A million people demonstrating on the streets of Brasil is something you can't be blind to.
Lula and Dilma's corruption is something even you can't be blind to.
