Venezuela says the deployment of its troops near the border it shares with Guyana, which triggered serious concern in Georgetown, is “an operational deployment exercise”. This follows on months of diplomatic aggression and threats by the regime of Nicolas Maduro claiming two thirds of Guyana's territory. Read full article

Sep 24th, 2015 - 12:39 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Latam brotherly love........gotta luv'em. And yet again, Guyana has asked the USA, quietly, for assistance in this matter. There is already a MLO there in Georgetown. JSOC has made several appearances. I see a joint operations with the GDF and a few US rifle companies in the making......or some snatch and grab operations.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 01:02 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I've got a Nerf Gun that Guyana can borrow.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 01:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Should be enough to see off those pesky Venezuelans.
Guyana is not Latin, Guyana is Anglo-Saxon.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 02:12 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If UNASUL allow Venezuela to invade Guyana and the United States meddling there will be a war of biblical proportions.
Oh Brasshole, shut up with your incessant dribble
Sep 24th, 2015 - 02:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yes the likes of Brazil et al are really going to want a biblical war with the USA on behalf of the local bus driver
Sep 24th, 2015 - 02:58 pm - Link - Report abuse 0That makes a lot of sense.

Sep 24th, 2015 - 03:01 pm - Link - Report abuse 0”The present population of Guyana is racially and ethnically heterogeneous, with ethnic groups originating from India, Africa, Europe, and China, as well as indigenous or aboriginal peoples. The largest ethnic group is the Indo-Guyanese (also known as East Indians), the descendants of indentured labourers from India, who make up 43.4% of the population, according to the 2002 census. They are followed by the Afro-Guyanese, the descendants of slaves from Africa, who constitute 30.2%. Guyanese of mixed heritage make up 16.7%, while the indigenous peoples (known locally as Amerindians) make up 9.1%. The indigenous groups include the Arawaks, the Wai Wai, the Caribs, the Akawaio, the Arecuna, the Patamona, Wapixana, the Macushi and the Warao. The two largest groups, the Indo-Guyanese and Afro-Guyanese, have experienced some racial tension.”

Sep 24th, 2015 - 03:10 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I repeat and affirm Guyana is not Latin, Guyana is Anglo-Saxon.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 03:11 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Yea, I agree with Brasshole. Ever see a picture of the President of Guyana? ...He is the perfect racial stereotype of an Anglo Saxton...
Sep 24th, 2015 - 03:32 pm - Link - Report abuse 0This is an historical repeat of what corrupt brutal governments do to divert their disgruntled citizens when their country is going through tough economic conditions (Just like Argentina in the late 70s and early 80s). Go to war with another country and the fair citizens of Venezolana will unite and forget the long lines outside their supermarkets that have bare shelves...
And of course, ... When all else fails, blame everything on those Anglo Saxton Yankee Gringo bastards...
Poor kind altruistic Madero, he's just trying to correct his national territory against those aggressive evil Guyana devils attacking Venezolana...
I can't imagine he plans to invade Guyana. I'd guess he's hoping for some strong rebuke from the USA to carry on with his anti gringo diatribe mentioned above.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 03:48 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Biblical .....sure.......like how fast Latam would be vaporized. Brasshole you guys barley have paper to wipe your asses do you really think you can get enough body bags ready when you send your idiots to their deaths?
Sep 24th, 2015 - 04:07 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Between the Pope in USA, XI visiting kissing American asses for more business for the CHin and Obama meeting Putin in less than a week, Madura has a better chance of getting a response from Chubby Chavo lying in his glass bed. WTF, why do commies embalm their idiots? I hear that Lenin was peeling so bad that they have to glass him over.....fiberglass, like a gelcoat.
I repeat: The threat is military- not linguistic.

Sep 24th, 2015 - 04:33 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Well, if what you said was true, then it is certainly a plus in the evolutionary scale.
Who in their right mind would wish to be called a Latam with someone like you as the prize example or the man who gets messages from birds.
Brasshole,
Sep 24th, 2015 - 04:35 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Keep up the great suggestions. Perhaps we could get assistance from the Normans and Celts to assist in the warfare as they historically have fought against those evil nasty Saxon barbarians in Guyana that threaten the peace and stability of Venezuela.
@15 Just because they're black does not mean that they are not Anglo-Saxon. They are! You brought them to America and built the new nation of seeds. You are responsible for their existence.

This could provide a nice little field problem for SOUTHCOM. The 4th Fleet stood up about 7 or 8 years ago, so they can take an MEU down there for some training, maybe elements of the 75th RR can do a quick TDY, the 82nd probably wouldn't mind doing a jump down there......endless opportunities and fun.

Before you continue with your STUPID remarks read the above. Below standard Argentine education again.
Don't you think that your troops would be rather conspicuous in their disguises ?

@4. Glad you can see the destruction of Venezuela. Perhaps you should tell Maduro.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 08:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@9. Not a good idea, messing with Anglo-Saxons. Anglo-Saxons MADE the world.
@14. On the other hand you might want to note the response of latinos to SAXONS. They ran away. It would be fun to see a latino with the guts to stand up and fight. Then looking down to see his guts on the floor. Will yours be the first?
@17. Yeah, good, innit? Lovely to see your racism.
@20. You don't have any soldiers. Here's some tips. 75 years ago, Nazis thought they had soldiers. So did Italy. 65 years ago, North Korea thought it had soldiers. So many places have thought they had soldiers. Even the Chinese thought they had soldiers. There are a limited number of countries with soldiers. There's Australia, Canada, France (?), Germany (?), United Kingdom, United States. It has to do with principles. Nothing in south america has principles. And that is why south america has no chance for long term existence.

Actually, for he USA, Venezuela is completly replaceable. In 18 months we could see the delayed Keystone pipeline from Canada become a reality which with its heavy oil perfect to replace Venezulea crude, Citgo will be liquidated at below market rates, China will take over the majority of impots from Maduro, and the Venezuela economy will rot in socialist hell.
Sep 24th, 2015 - 10:13 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I personally remember waiting outside supermarkets for hours to buy whatever was on the shelves in 1973 here in Santiago. What b.s.
