Situation with Ceuta and Melilla, not really surprised these third world countries only know hypocricy. A bit like Argentina really.

“He described Gibraltar as the last colony in Europe and said his government wanted to discuss its decolonisation bilaterally with Britain”. And who controls Monaco? How about Andorra?

Why bother with what Gollum2 did or did not say, it will amount to the same: nothing will change.

Having Lieutenant General Edward (Ed) Davis CB CBE., will provide Gibraltar with somebody who has the balls to stand up to the “cowards of Europe” the Spanish government.

Ah, the smell of cordite (from 50 cal BMG) and the gentle gurgle, gurgle, from sinking Spanish vessels. Music to the ears.

Well, the frigate Almirante Juan de Bourbón is moored off the Tail of the Bank in the Clyde ready to take part in Joint Warrior 2015/2.
She seems to be welcome by the RN. Nice looking ship. Some of her crew were relaxing in the unseasonal warmth by fishing. They may find out later in the week that the N.E. Atlantic can be rather stormy and cold compared to the Med.

    @ 5 Clyde15

Some 12 years old now but hasn't really been overtaxed if the Wikipedia 'career' details are true.

Hardly going to be a Garda Civil (oh I do love that oxymoron) unit based near Gib though, is it?

As you know BMG's are not the principal weapon of any front line ship, only boats are fitted thus and have been used many times by the Garda Civil against the Gibraltans and indeed their own pirates crossing into British Waters to escape them.

It was in that context that the comment was made. I have no doubt the Spanish Navy have many splendid fellows in their ranks and they are after all a member of NATO, it is the cretins of the Garda Civil that ought really to be given back what they meted out to Gibraltar.

Are you British, you have on several occasions given me cause to wonder?

Accepting that you are, is it acceptable for Gollum2 to behave in the manner he does? Is it OK for you that his government berates the UK in the manner that it does despite the UK funding their recovery to the expense of the British people?

Do you read and understand what is going on in the world or are you relying on The Dope of a Pope to have a quick word with his boss and put it all to rights? Is that it? I wouldn't hold your breath, unless you want to go and 'see' his boss as well.

Unless the brutish government enforces British integrity and territorial sovereignty,
Spain will continue on its path of self destruction,

of anti democracy , for the sake of its territorial ambitions,

to Spain -Gibraltar may well be the last colony,
but from where in sitting, Spain is still the last imperial country, like Argentina who still have dreams of empire.

    just my opinion.

I would so love to see Catalunya secede, just to watch him choke on the words “territorial integrity”.

and this time they are going to get what they want...
and hope Spain gets this last British colony out of Europe!!!

Where did you find out this crap ? Listen sunshine, I live in the aforesaid country and I have not noticed or heard anyone here giving a damn one way or the other about any ”new referendum. Your problem is that you read to many news-clips and swallow them whole.
THEY ARE JUST THE OPINION OF THE AUTHORS.
