Unfortunately ANCAP, Uruguay's state petroleum entity, is under parliamentary investigation for mismanagement with criminal charges filed, and UTE, the State Power Concern, may not be far behind.

'state' 'mismanagement' and 'criminal ' just sort of go together in Latam don't they?

They should be able to see this FSRU from BA while they shiver in the dark and yet another BP gas buggy lies offshore from Bahia Blanca waiting for someone to offer real $$$ to pay for the cargo...

And of course, the main crook at ANCAP is no other than the present Veep who will ascend to the presidency should Vasquez croak in office.

Are there no better people willing to take office in UYU other than The Broad Fraud crooks, it seems not?

    Chris @ 3

Both Pedro Bordaberry and Luis Lacalle would have been better than this bunch, in my opinion. But it's hard to outvote a populist administration cashing in on favourable international markets for the country's main exports. I doubt whether the Frente Ampio will manage the coming difficult times any better than they did the good times. I hope that at least now they'll be more honest and truthful if not more efficient.

Mitsui is involved in Car Wash and it is being expelled from Brazil. If the Uruguay engage with it most likely Brazil will deny access to our market for products that have its participation.

    CUIDADO!

    @ 5 Brasso

So when are 'you' going to have The Chief Crook Lula given a good wash, preferably in concentrated hydrochloric acid?

Brazil doesn't know what time of day it is at the moment they are so catatonic over the corruption charges never mind banning anything from Uruguay.

    Stupid bugger.
