Shame on the British government. Under international law and the UN Charter, Britain is responsible for the defence of Gibraltar. How come so many spanish state vessels get to illegally invade British Gibraltar Territorial Waters? Has spain not read UNCLOS? I refer to UNCLOS I. Where all coastal territories got territorial waters without having to site cannon or other guns.

What a good reason for the UK to leave the EU. Then we could open fire and sink these illegal vessels. Taranto 1940 is good example of how to do it.

    @ 1 Conqueror.

Not going to happen if Picardo gets his way over the EU!

Gibraltar needs to make up their minds which side their bread is buttered on: with the UK who have steadfastly been on their side throughout or subsumed by the cowardly Spanish who would sell their granny if they thought it would bring them a few Euros.

@2. Have to agree. Which of the 32,194 Gibraltarians think they are more important than 64.5 MILLION UK population? Yes, the UK should defend Gibraltar. And Gibraltar shouldn't defend itself? Arm the boats. Arm the police. Arm the citizens. And SHOOT!!

Spanish general election 20/12/2015. Rajoy goverment showing a small lead in the polls against Pedro Sanchez at the present time. All eyes are on Podemos to see if they can influence the polling.

It will be interesting to see if the Spanish overwhelmingly support Rajoy as the strongest opponent against Catalonian independence. I they do, we are stuck with many more years of sabre rattling from Spain on the issue of Gibraltar and chancing their luck with repeated incursions.

Cameron needs to stop turning a blind eye to what is going on, it is a weak policy and it is encouraging more incursions. Spain contributes fuck all to NATO, they are not worth maintaining friendly relations with whilst they are behaving the way they are.

    lets see:
“... which do not recognize the UK Overseas Territory waters.”

and who the f*ck can recognize that?
    nobody
these stinky macacos are illegally occupying foreign territory because a pair of drunk kings signed that joke of treaty of utrecht...400 years ago.

now the funny thing is that treaty does not say shite about the waters.

not to mention that those stinky macacos have built the “airport” outside the boundaries of their cage.

the good thing is once the uk is expelled from the eu, the gate of the cage will be closed forever, with all the llanitos moaning and screaming.

Unfortunately I think Chief Minister Fabian Picardo wants his cake and eat it,
On the one hand he want to stay with his new found family,
    And wants us to stay,

Yet on the other hand, he knows full well that Spain will keep on and on until it gets Gibraltar,

And with the British gone, Spain comes closer to achieving that goal,
Mr Chief Minister Fabian Picardo needs to choose who he wants to sit with,

Picardo hits out at Spain’s ‘neo-colonial and expansionist’ attitude to Gibraltar
He accused Spain of ignoring the wishes of the people of Gibraltar and behaving “like the last colonists in Europe

@5. Typical latino uneducated comment. That treaty you mention says nothing about spanish territorial waters either. So if spain doesn't want to recognise British Gibraltar Territorial Waters, it'll be fine for no-one to recognise spanish so-called “territorial” waters. Or those waters off the coast of argieland.

Strange how spain agreed to the location of the airport. Only because it didn't have enough money (like most latino countries) to make a contribution. Anyway, it's done now and spain gave the land away.

    10 genetic aberration
are you even more imbecile than we imagined?
    is that possible?

that joke of a treaty does not say sh*te about the waters.
and as the whole f*cking world knows, those waters are and have been spanish since ages.
the stinky macacos/ llanitos have nothing to do there.

about the “airport”, the best they can do is to close down that sh*te for ever.
even a genetic aberration like you, should realize that a runway intersecting a road is not viable.

only the stinky macacos could design that piece of crap.

As Conq says, there is no mention of Spanish territorial waters in the Treaty of Utrecht either, so from this we can conclude that Spain has no territorial waters?

Territorial water are defined in the UN convention on the Law of the Sea, 1956.

Which Spain signed, accepting the principle that “sovereignty the Sea flows from sovereignty of the land”

The sovereignty of the land (being British) was accepted by Spain in the Treaty of Utrecht also when it joined NATO as well as the EU.

As for the Airport, well they signed away that land away as well.

Spain is in breach of every treaty in has ever signed on the subject.

When you look at the facts not the fiction, Spain like Argentina doesn’t have a case.

The inclusion of Gib in this meeting means a different response can be expected once the Spanish elections are over.

    Watch this space.

    The Spider and the Fly….

Cameron's four key demands to remain in the EU revealed

Forcing Brussels to make “an explicit statement” that Britain will be kept out of any move towards a European superstrate. This will require an exemption for the UK from the EU’s founding principle of “ever closer union”.
    • An “explicit statement” that the euro is not the official currency of the EU, making clear that Europe is a “multi-currency” union. Ministers want this declaration in order to protect the status of the pound sterling as a legitimate currency that will always exist.

    • A new “red card” system to bring power back from Brussels to Britain. This would give groups of national parliaments the power to stop unwanted directives being handed down and to scrap existing EU laws.

    • A new structure for the EU itself. The block of 28 nations must be reorganized to prevent the nine countries that are not in the Eurozone being dominated by the 19 member states that are, with particular protections for the City of London.
it does not include legally binding changes to the EU’s governing treaties.

Ministers are pushing the French and German governments to agree to Britain’s demands as soon as possible.
And no mention of immigration at all,
And according to the graphs, it show the out is barely 20% and in 80 %
    Total rubbish.

    @14 Briton
He knows he won’t get anywhere with, “freedom of movement”, or the necessary treaty change.

However given the recent rulings in the ECJ for Germany and now (it seems) for Britain, it is legal to withhold benefits from migrants who have not worked, tax paid, for X (Cameron says 4 years) period of time.

What you will have, sooner rather than later, is “freedom of movement, to work”.

It’s going to upset the Polish Prime minister a bit, but hay ho.

Cameron is not alone in the EU on this, particularly given recent events.

Did you see the news today?
The stay in campaign seems to be given extra time,

Fear of jobs, loss of trade, it seems the OUT groups will have a fight on their hands.

I just think the power of the EU and Cameron will try to influence and brain wash us into staying.

Mate, I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but when old red sock is speaking in English, as he did recently in the US, he speaks English with a pronounced ITALIAN accent.

Quite distinct from the accent Spanish speakers have, when speaking English.

Not unusual either, I once met some Argys, born and bred, who were of German parents and spoke English with strong German accents, which is very distinctive.

Italian is both his mother tongue and first language, like I said “what you have is another Italian Pope, but in disguise”.

    Watch it now….

////If you have an interest In British military, then you must read this, issued by the MOD Today.
    UK Defence in Numbers.

The MoD has issued a glossy brochure that yet again, tries to hammer home the point that we are globally engaged, spend gazillions on Defence and meet NATO 2% GDP and 20% on new equipment targets, unlike the other slackers in NATO.
This is of course, all to try and counter the perceptions that the Conservative party is responsible for allowing the UK to exit the world stage, left.
