Would he have known in advance that he would need certain medicines? Sounds very South American to me, but well done if true.

Given Vasquez is 76 in January I would have been amazed if he did not have a medical team with him 24/7.
So at 69 I have only 11 years left, allegedly! :o)
Ditto re the 69.... I've been told I am 'out of warranty' at 75.
