Prime Minister David Cameron on Tuesday formally laid out Britain’s conditions for remaining in the European Union, seeking changes in his country’s relationship with Brussels that he is betting are substantial enough to win over a majority of British voters but modest enough for the rest of Europe to swallow. Well those are a pretty pathetic set of requests. I suppose he has to set the bar really low so that he can say to the British people “Look the EU has granted me every concession I asked for”. But will the majority of the British people be taken in by such deception?

David Cameron will secure all of his EU reforms — because they will alter nothing

I have no doubt that David Cameron will secure 100 per cent of his stated aims vis-à-vis the EU. The reason he is stating them in public is that the other members have already agreed to them in private. They have done so cheerfully, incredulous at how little is being asked. The other heads of government know, as the PM knows, that his four ‘reforms’ will alter nothing. Think about it.

this man wants to keep us in,
    thus ignores the people.

    Not enough.

Are there any intelligent British people? How could any real Briton vote to be ruled by foreigners? The European “thing” has gradually been skewed until democracy has virtually ended and the EU is effectively operated by a bunch of unelected, dictatorial bureacrats. The people get to vote for members of the European Parliament. The European Parliament can debate anything that the European Commission says it can. The European Commission isn't elected. It's appointed. And who gets the biggest say in appointing a new Commissioner? The other Commissioners. Could somebody from Europe explain to me why a bunch of executives need a “president”? Including the “president” there's only 28 of them. The European Commission is working on taking over. It should be composed of minions. The “top” body should be the Council of Ministers. The tail is wagging the dog. And it's undemocratic and dictatorial.

I shan't mention the French Third Empire or the German Fourth Reich. Oops!

How come Britain managed to get by for nearly 2,000 years without Europe? Apart from popping over from time to dig it out of the shit.

I really hope that the majority of British people will remember their heritage, forget fear and vote not to become of as little consequence as Uruguay.

Cameron doesn’t need EU agreement to change benefits for migrants, especially given recent European Court rulings.

And he is not the only one wanting the other reforms.

Mr. Tusk needs to work out how much EU money Poland would not be getting from the EU if it lost is second biggest contributor.

Not to mention money sent to Poland from the UK, like benefits paid in the UK when the children are actually in Poland.

Ironically all the Poles (and that is quite a few) that I work with support Cameron over benefits, now it’s their tax money as well being paid out.
