FIFA’s ethics committee has recovered 48 of 65 watches handed out to football officials last summer in a breach of the federation’s rules. Parmigiani watches worth $26,600 each were left in gift bags for the 28 FIFA ExCo members by the Brazilian football federation (CBF) during the World Cup. Read full article

    Would have worked better for Dilma if she had made sure the Refs in the final two games got one.

    I bet the countries of the 5 eyes did not return the watches. They are extremely corrupt for that.

    Oops. I forgot that there is no football there.

    @4 BRasshole
    Asshole, you shouldn't forget that the newspapers that denounced the irregularity are from Germany and England. None from Brazil. I wonder why ?

    Also, the question that should be asked, is “Why did the CBF - the BRAZILIAN Football Confederation - have to give out such expensive gifts to the other FIFA executives , in the first place ??”
    The word “BRIBERY” comes to mind....

    Of the 65 watches bought for this occasion, by the CBF, at the cost of US$ 1 million to the taxpayer, 48 have been returned. The FIFA Ethics' Commission discovered that 17 were not distributed at all - they just disappeared.......but we all know damned well where they are .... on the wrists of the Brazzos who had this brilliant idea.

    And you BRasshole, are proud of this, aren't you ??

    What a pretentious asshole you are ! What makes you think I write it only for you ? although you might learn something if you did read my comments, you prefer not to, because you are too fucking stupid to understand. It's for the benefit of the others, who are not assholes like you, in order to show them what an ignorant piece of shit you are. I have long realized that trying to teach you anything, is indeed a waste of time.

    Football was invented in England you Brazilian idiot.

    At least the UK, Australia and the US could invent their own versions of football. Brazil just copied a “5 eyes” invention.

    Pity you didn't copy democracy with the same passion.

    Quite frankly, don't know what the BRasshole idiot is proud about....Brazil got its ass kicked by Germany in the World Cup (7 x 1) in 2014, and again in the recent Copa America, by Chile. Currently, Brazil's football is a bloody disgrace - as usual, it's kept afloat locally by a lot of hot air . Far rather watch European football.

    @11 Troy
    they sure did (hand out enough watches), but sometimes 'bribery' is not sufficient - you need to be competent at what you do.

    The watches that were not handed out officially, will never appear. And if any Brazilian official is accused of stealing them, he will simply deny it...it's what they do.
