    @ 1 Briton
    “Integrative methods in Structural Biology to enhance high impact research in health and disease” or in Jibber-jabber “”Los métodos de integración en Biología Estructural para mejorar la investigación de alto impacto en la salud y la enfermedad“”

    The total for each grant is GBP 25,000, better than nowt, but is only window dressing for the British Embassy.

    Does anybody have a clue what the above topic to be funded means?

    @2 Chris

    Structural biology is the study of the molecular structure of big molecules - things like proteins.
    The gubbins about integrative methods and high impact research opening it up to fields that might not be associated with structural biology (about fifteen years ago this would have been computer modelling, which was only just being introduced).

    Thanks very much for your lucid explanation, at least I could understand that.

    I hope that computer modelling is going to be explained in simple, truthful, words. Computer literacy here, despite all the cheap laptops given to school kids is absolutely lamentable, even at 'University' level.

    I have taught the correct use of XL in economics to a number of English speaking students and they were amazed at how simple it can be understood. The 'professors' here (lecturers really) completely bamboozled the students and I am convinced they are simply teaching it by rote.

    The government attempt at a nationwide spine for all their departments and monopolies (including the biggest bank) regularly goes offline for more than a day. It's so bad I have taken to storing a years' money in my home safes just to overcome these problems.

    Let's hope something positive comes from these projects.

    Thank you so much for your concern but I can assure you nobody can find me unless I allow them to.

    My computer systems are also blinded except to serious attack and who would bother?

    Kindest regards, hope your extended family are well, great to have you back.
