Criminally negligent that she keeps harping on about how the country will be without a president.

It had a president the minute her mandate finished.

    She's not very intelligent really.

It's looking up for reason and decency in Argentina, Venezuela and even in Brazil. Best of luck to them and to the acting President who I hope is enjoying his 12-hour stint in office. Didn't Bolivia have 3 Presidents in one day once? Still a way to go for the Dark Country, but it's a start.

If she announces she'll turn into a pumpkin at midnight one can only infer she thought she was a stagecoach prior to that.

What a dreadful woman, no class, no style, no dignity.

Asked 5 years ago what Falkland Islanders would do about another CFK term, we said we would sit it out.

That we have done, and continued to develop and progress.

    And she's gone......................

A chance now for Argentina to move away from populous politics to much more carefully thought through politics. Constantly trying to please and appeal to one sector of society is often not in the best interests of the country as a whole and in the longer term often not in the interests of those being “appealed” to.

#10....agreed, she is rather disgusting. I've had my share of idiot President's here but she is by far the most embarrassing any country can have.

I think that usually an outgoing holder of an office speaks a bit more graciously than this.

Don't they usually, when leaving office, say thank you to all and wish their successor and their dear country the very best?

@10. It's only a shame that her “mandate” wasn't ended by an assassination. Still, time for an assassination in the next four years. And, for anyone intending to gratify argies and the world, Fat Max needs to “go” at the same time. Isn't it true that argieland suffers from “ism”? First there was peron “ism”. The beginning of dictatorship with a smiley face, overt corruptionism, fart in the argie face and make them love it. Then there's kirchner “ism”. A true “socialism”. Much like the EU. How to take billions, give millions and call it beneficence? If you go to a bank, deposit a thousand pounds and give five pounds, who wins? It isn't you. And thus kirchner “ism”. Theft on a grand scale.

If you have not watched the video of Macri celebrating on the balcony of the Casa Rosada you are missing a classic. Macri busting out his dance moves whilst his wife pretends she doesn't know him is quite mesmerising. You can bet he was the first on the dance floor for the Birdy Song at family weddings.

On another level, the euphoric crowd of supporters must have been a blow to CFK.

Do yourselves a favour and look at the Clarin HD section.

Such a lovely change from TMBOA scowls and hatred.

Macri's wife is clearly going to be a real asset to him and their daughter (4 or 5 by the look of it) is an absolute charmer.

The comments section in the main body are also amusing and the female Gen Sec of the old opposition party has already put in several legal complaints against TMBOA for fiscal enrichment. “She is going to jail” the Gen Sec claims!

Oh dear, it's all turned to shit: laughing, cheering crowds for Macri, only the old hags of the Plaza de Mayo there to see TMBOA off and the handing over of the stick and sash went over a treat without her!

Let us hope the euphoria of goodwill continues when Macri has to start putting the economy back together.

The hyenas can dance on the lioness's grave but they will never themselves be lions. Nor, for that matter, will Macri. And anyway neither Cristina nor the people are in the grave, just gearing up for heightened struggle in the difficult days that are ahead. They can count on my solidarity with that. This is not the end only the end of the beginning and I note that the last neoliberal President of Argentina left the Casa Roasada not in a pumpkin stagecoach but a helicopter...

If you think CFK left gracefully - as a “lioness” - by not even attending the inauguration, you're a hack - biased beyond repair.

Like the rest of the ignoramus, you throw about the term “neoliberalism”, apparently without much clue what the expression means or what its origin is. Argentina has never seen liberalism or neoliberalism throughout its existence; the expression has been used to pull the wool over the eyes of the uneducated masses, nothing more.

    THAT WOMAN.
If i had the same mediocre mentality of many of those morons who have always underestimated us for being kirchnerists, i would think that all those citizens who went to plaza de mayo and to the square of the congress, in order to see how president Macri takes office, i would think that most them are just repugnant gorillas, who were paid by the clarin group, the rural society, and the vultures, however, although i have never liked conservatives, i honestly think i have no right to insult the dignity of those compatriots who trusted Mauricio Macri, and chose him as president.
I have learnt many things in all these long years, in fact, i have always said that if someday i am detractor of any government, i will make a worthy opposition, which is something that many detractors of kirchnerism didn't want to do. I will support all those measures that benefit most population, and i'll criticise all those plans that aim to lose our rights, this is what i call a worthy opposition, beside, i won't share the bullshit published in facebook or twitter, as many irresponsable people did, without knowing whether the information was true or false.
Even beyond i have always agreed on many of the things that Nestor and Cristina did, i have always criticised the lack of politic will to legalize the practice of abortion, and the lack of a deep tributary reform, where rich people pay more truly.
On the other hand, as i said some days ago, and beyond what all those stupid polls say, perhaps a relative majority in the country is angry with C. F. K., but not with her policies, if it wasn't true, the candidat from her party, wouldn't be at less than two points of winning the election, after rulling the nation for more than 12 years. If all these years were so lost, as some imbeciles say, a conservative like Macri wouldn't make politic campaign saying that he will keep all the achievements that workers could get with kirchnerism.

39 Axle - the squeaky wheel.

You took nearly 2000 characters to insult the followers of Macri, admit that you are a staunch Kirchnerist, and you agree with all her populist / socialist policies.

If CFK has Argentina's welfare at heart, why did she clean out the Federal Reserves as she left, and tried to create a situation where Argentina would be ungovernable - by anyone?

I thought he just jumped ship. Seems like he is hedging his bets now that he is on the losing side.

A sort of.... I'll support the government because I'm magnanimous but as soon as they do something I don't like I'll let them have it.

Pretty much what I always thought of CFK.... but could never find anything I agreed with.

Unfortunately none have these 'things' have been the English Language, the use of paragraphs, grammar, punctuation, sentence construction, the ability to lead an argument, to profess your ideas, nor debate politically in an open forum.

So, pray tell, what have you learnt?

    TROY TOMPEST.
The day you decide to be serious, you'll see that you can't keep on making your usuall mischievous lectures.
I didn't insult Macri's followers, i was perfectly clear in my comment in relation to what i think about them, i just criticised all those imbeciles who have always underestimated us for being kirchnerists, and it's imposible to know whether most those people are Macri's voters.
Respecting our reserves, you should know that prices started to rase, after Macri proposed that if he was chosen as president, he would eliminate the restrictions to buy dollars. In the the context like the actual one, where the number of reserves isn't as big as it used to be some years ago, because the government used them to pay our debts, that kind of proposal is demagogical and too dangerous, because it would implicate a great devaluation, in fact, when some producers were asked about the reason why they rased the prices, they said that it was because of the inminent devaluation of the new government, beside, Macri and his economic advicer, (Alfonso Prat Gay), told people on the press that a devaluation wouldn't implicate a rase on the prices of the products, because they were already tied to the blue price of the illegal dollar(14 pesos), which was an absolut lie.

    Nincompoop Axle Aaargh,

Your Reserves “dwindled” because your economy is in such poor shape, with unprofitable National Companies, fewer exports, fleeing investors, and a dwindling tax base, thanks to the K's.

Far from paying your debts, the K's took a $100b of a loan, and then declared they would only pay 30% of it back.
That money has run out or disappeared over the past 12 years, with the gov shelling out $billions on the unemployed, or the un-workers of Aerolineas, YPF, and government agencies too numerous to count.

As to the true value of the Peso. Prat-Gay and everyone else in Argentina knows that the real value is not the Official exchange rate. The K's were pouring money into propping up an artificial exchange rate.

Prices going up? Prices have been going up 25% or more every year, under the K's. If you were a school teacher, you would know that it is a struggle to get wage increases to match.
Furthermore, there has long been speculation that a devaluation was coming. It is inevitable. Whether Macri was in power, or Scioli, it is going to happen - CFK and Kicilarf were just holding out until after the election.

You will find that it has been CFK who was “lying” about the economy - Macri and company are finally telling you the hard truths about the K legacy - and they are a depressing revelation.

It's not my fault you can't think for yourself and don't want to believe it.
