Argentina's new government will maintain wellhead crude prices above international levels for now, although the differential will narrow as artificially low wellhead prices for natural gas are gradually adjusted upwards, energy minister Juan Jose Aranguren announced on Tuesday. Read full article

This is extremely bad policy that the gov't can not afford for long.
There are much better ways to encourage exploration and paying 2-3X what the product is worth isn't it.

More games, now from the center.

Oil isn't ever coming back. You may see further devalued euros chasing oil but it is in a market insurmountable oversupply.

Saudis are bleeding Iran, Isis, Iraq and Russia.

Take your medicine rottingroadkillians - it won't taste any better if you wait.

    2. I've always chuckled when the econazis screeched about running out of oil. They've been doing it since it was discovered.
There's so much oil around, so many new producers, I don't see how it recovers any time in the near future.

I also think its funny that China bought all these commodities at a sky high price only to sit on them now and watch them plummet.
Its a great analogy for their whole economy over the last decade or so.

So you poisoned your Great Plains for nothing then. Like I warned you.

No all there is left is worthless fracking operations that make no sense at these prices.

    5. You have no idea what you're talking about and can't fathom how large the USA is, our great plains are bigger than Argentina. It would take a heck of a lot of something to destroy them and oil wells certainly wouldn't do it.

The USA has more oil than Saudi Arabia and more nat gas than Russia. Within days we will be exporting oil after a 40yr ban. Next we will xport LNG. Watch and learn.

I told you the next decade will be transformational in the USA. It will be like we've never experienced. We will blow away our previous excellent growth figures. The stars are aligned for us.

Be very careful what you wish for, the US still has the arseholes who created the last (and still current) global monetary disaster and they still haven't learned to separate the gambling bit from the banking proper bit.

    It's another disaster in waiting.
