“ We would like a more productive bilateral relationship with Argentina ”

It's interesting they actually never spell out what this statement actually means. What areas of relations need to be more productive.

Argentina should not fall for the trick.

A few years ago, when UNSG made an official visit to Western Sahara, he was accompanied by his assistant Ms Malacorra. Now, that same person in Argentina
is called “Malcorra,” which rhymes well with malvinazi.

“Relations with the UK plunged to a near 30 year low under the former Argentine President, Cristina Fernandez.”

And then Macri seemed to be a reasonable person, and then we have this nonsense all over again hopefully for the consumption of 'the poor' and the K-scum.

We will know for sure within the next 12 months.

    @2

    Again, no specifics.

It's an old British trick, the “more productive” wordage.

It means “our way or the highway”.

I like the highway, 48 hours away from hitting it actually. Too bad I could not get a direct service, and have a 4 hour layover from 1:30am to 6:00am in the Quines bus station.

But my first 6-day vacation is finally here. Well deserved break from all of you.

@2. Don't mind us. Take a month. Take a year. Strange how you mention “our way or the highway”, as it's the typical argie attitude.

I had heard “ Malacara” which of course refers to the evil face of a famous horse in Chubut, but in this case they are probably thinking of the Argentine politics emulating the other end of the animal.

This statement is purely to neuter the K's. CFK is an activist to her very bones and is looking for a cause to wage war against the government. Macri is outsmarting her so far. The missing fugitives with a bag full of damning evidence against the K's drug trafficking involvement has her head down but if they are not dead already they may well be soon and she will emerge to stir up shit. Macri is taking this one away from her.

TTT, yes, trade has always been used to foster good relationships and bring countries into line. They want the trade, they have to fall in line. This is nothing new and you can't fight it. You can take the trade and have a wealthier and more stable country or continue being the stroppy rebel and live in poverty. I think the majority of Argentines will take the first option once they see their lives improving; they always do.

I don't like hypocrites and the UK is probably the biggest hypocrite in world history.

Asking Argentina to apologize for the Falklands when you won't even apologize for Empire, 300 years in the past before the Falklands.

Believe me if the UK, and EUians et al, stopped being hypocrites and apologized for their past crimes, I would immediately change tune. I am a softie and can forgive easily even monumental crimes. But when there is no remorse at all, and on top of not apologizing then try to claim moral high ground on issues you have no business doing so... let's just say I have a dim view of such behavior.

Let's see if the Capitrolley understands the Argentine genocide against the Selknam in Tierra del Fuego and the theft of their ancestral lands. And the genocide against the Tehuelche and Mapuche to “pacify” the patagonia in the “Conquista del Desierto” in the 1880s, which showed what Argentina was really made of. When it comes to moral high ground, Argentina is in a deep puddle.

CapiTrolley is very selective in choosing whom to criticize and whom he thinks owes the world an apology. When will it stop?
The government should crack down now, cut off aid, relations, help,

    But we won’t.

It is no coincidence that the biggest bill in Argentina, for the princely amount of 100 pesos (you know a country is in trouble when its biggest currency denomination is worth a whole US$7.14) sports the picture of the Argentine official who was responsible for one of the largest massacres of indigenous people in South America during the 19th century.

If you don't mind reading the Spanish, the long and sordid tale of Argentine genocide against native peoples is rather well summarised in this book, which reminds us that some aspects of the genocide are still taking place in northwestern Argentina and other parts of the country.

“Argentina originaria. Genocidios, saqueos y resistencias.”

You can download a copy here

    http://www.iwgia.org/iwgia_files_publications_files/0473_Aranda.pdf

Probably nowhere else in South America sees the degree of discrimination against indigenous people -- not even Brazil. There is a rather telling little joke here in Argentina that goes something like this: The Mexicans descended from the Aztecs. The Peruvians descended from the Incas. The Argentines descended from boats.

As I understand it, Argentina has no claim what-so-ever to the Falklands and even less to South Georgia and the Sandwich Islands. The 1833 involvement was covert attempt by Argentina to grab the Falklands by stealth. They were a British property at the time and Argentina asked permission to set up a trading post there and Great Britain agreed to this. Under the guise of being a trading post they infiltrated military personel in and then created a governor of all of the Falklands. Quite rightly when the British found out about the trickery they shoved them off of the Falklands. Surreptitiiously trying to grab a group of islands from another state does not create ownership of that state. The Argentine tried the same thing over South Georgia, i.e. with British permission sent in some people to recover scrap metal and then tried to claim that was ownership of the island. They tried it with the South Sandwich Islands too by sending in a meterological station . I am afraid you cannot trick you way into ownership of these territories

According to this Spain should own Alaska and the USA.

According to the PapalBullshit, South Georgia should belong to Portugual.

The fact is the world was NOT ruled by the Maninwhite, and anyone not believing in what the pope believed in did what they liked.

The Spanish tried to invade Britain because they were protestant and the fairy ponced up Spanish king lost to a queen who had more sand than him-remember who won?

Yes Britain-the Armada was hit for six meaning the catholic world could not order Britain-like in 1982 YOU LOST.

So how come Argentina only claims officially from 1929? 1833 minus 1829 is 4 years not 13 dipstick.

AND you were told Britain still claimed it-if Britain's claim from 1690/1765 (take your pick) was invalid then your claim from 1829/1833 IS equally invalid.
