@1, She is Resident Governor on St Helena, and NON-resident on Ascension and Tristan-da-Cunha.
Good Luck Lisa, you only have small shoes to fill, so it shouldn't be to difficult to shine as St H's New Governess. The last two have been shocking.
Just try listening to the Islanders a bit instead of the short term expats..
Which is exactly why, as they move towards self determining their future, it is important they have good leadership. Or they could go the way of , for instance, a certain ex-Spanish colony in the south east of the Americas.

The great challenge of the twenty-first century
Is to explain to Argentina that we aren't in the 19th century.
I like your new air defence fighters, that are currently patrolling your borders Pucaras and machine gun equipped Tucano trainers.
The RAF will soon be phasing out Tucano trainers and fighter-wise we are working out on F35 Lightnings
Still if Macri speaks nicely to the UK we can bring Argentina's forces into the 20th century by loaning them the Battle of Britain memorial flight.

@2. St Helena has no strategic significance. RMS St Helena will be decommissioned from July/August 2016. Now look up the airport's capabilities.
