Beach-side apartments in Brazil may have been used as bribes and to launder money for members of the ruling Workers’ Party (PT), police and prosecutors said as they carried out six arrests and executed 15 search warrants in four cities. Read full article

Who knows what you may find
or where it will lead
:)
The triplex apartment that was reserved for Lula and his family, is on the top floor, and when the investigators dig deeper , they will find that the trail will lead to the sewers.....although this highly suspicious transaction was first divulged about 2/3 years ago - when the bank workers coop Bancoop, presided by João Vaccari Neto (the PT's ex-treasurer, now in prison) went bankrupt (because Vaccari stole R$ 100 million, kept part and funnelled the rest into the PT) - little attention was given to it, but now that preliminary investigations have shown that many apartments in this building were used as bribes and pay-offs, Lula's wife, Marisa Leticia, was quick to announce (about a month ago) that they would be giving up the option to purchase the apartment....and this, after having several structural modifications made (including a private elevator for Lula), which cost an additional R$ 777,000.00, roughly half of its market value - before the modifications......and the declared purchase value was to be R$ 47,695.00....if it weren't for these corrupt bastards feeling the heat, why would Lula's family decline such a wonderful and profitable deal ??

Feb 01st, 2016 - 02:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Further to #2, this subject of the triplex flat Lula bought but never paid for, is all over the news. The Instituto Lula (his corrupt NGO, created to desguise and hide the truth about him) now admits he (and his wife, Marisa) went to see the flat several times during the expensive modifications - requested by Lula - although of course, these visits and all the reforming that went on, cannot be implied as the family having any interest in occupying the flat later on. The fact is that Lula couldn't wait to go and live there, on the 16th floor, overlooking the sea ; his sudden decision to not buy it , alleging that the flat does not correspond to the family's expectations is somewhat contradictory.... how come it does NOT correspond...?.....After all the modifications and expensive decorating, carefully chosen by Marisa Letícia, topping R$ 1.1 million ?
Feb 01st, 2016 - 06:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0But what I really like seeing , is that Lula must be so pissed-off that he will never occupy the flat of his dreams, just because the Feds discovered that the apartment is in fact a bribe....If it weren't, why couldn't he simply go through with the purchase and prove he actually bought it legally ? why pay attention to a few 'malicious rumours' ?
