Trump sounds like an idiot without a clue. He acts like a man in the early stages of dementia. I sincerely hope for all my family and friends in the U.S. that he is never elected President.

The man';s ignorance and stupidy is breathtaking - evidenced in nearly everything he says - but to take one pertinent example - “We're in a bubble,” .... “And, frankly, if there's going to be a bubble popping, I hope they pop before I become president because I don't want to inherit all this stuff. I'd rather it be the day before rather than the day after, I will tell you that.” Well hello Donald !!! An economic collapse of the kind you're referring to would not be fixed overnight so you could come to your inauguration with a clean slate.

What a moron - and I'm sure the world outside the US is hoping like mad there are enough alert sensible American republican voters who do not endorse this crazy man as their presidential candidate. Dimentia is a real possibility -let's hope it's rapid onset so that everyone can be quite clear about his (un)fitness for office.

I don't think the economy is in a bubble but it may be overheated in some areas. I've long thought the stock market needs a correction. The Fed needs to reign it in some more regardless of how it damages the rest of the world's economies.

Its funny how ignorant foreigners are of the USA and especially our Politics.
It does make me laugh though.

    3. You especially need to read some current news. You're just embarrassing yourself.

    5. I think the Repub bank of candidates is very good. I am not sure why you think its a joke? They have smart diverse candidates, business people, successful governors, famous brain surgeon and a self made billionaire.
I would put them up against any other Pol from anywhere in the world.

On the Dem side you have two 70 y/o washington insiders, one who is being investigated by the FBI for influence peddling and a socialist even his own party won't endorse or support.

It sure is and interesting race.

In a month we should know who the candidates are...

@1,2,3. It might help you if you were to read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump
He appears to have improved his wealth from $1.4 million 2015 US dollars in 1968 (?) to $4.5 billion 2015 US dollars now. Isn't that a 3,000% increase? Maybe there are things he knows how to do?

Starting in 1967, who would have thought an actor could have gone on to be a Governor and then a President. Two terms.

Might be best not to be so dismissive until a campaign is over. Anyway, he'll only be an American president. Wouldn't be the first time Britain has told an American president to get lost.

I think the problem with foreigners with regards to USA politics is that they lack this type of scrutiny of their own politicans. 30 days campaigning? And just how large is the country of these posters? Maybe the size of one of our largest states? Our gubnertorial elections last as long as most of your national elections, those of you who elect a national leader. I'm with yb here, I am tired of hearing the Pissing and moaning of the USA. Frankly of you don't like it, than don't read about it or visit. Most all of you have not anyway.

In case you missed it on the other thread...

    I was just thinking about something and it shows how unique and great the society of the USA is;

Where else is it possible for a Presidential Candidate getting national support who's mother and father came as refugees from an Enemy State and worked as a maid and bartender!?

That's one reason we are great and no other nation on earth will ever rival the USA.

    It really makes me proud.

We need to completely revamp our immigration. We need a point system and the State that needs that type of worker sponsors the worker and they must live in that State for a minimum amount of years.

Forcing all of these well educated foreign kids at our Universities to go home is ridiculously stupid.

We also need a good guest worker program that is not a path to residency or citizenship. As long as someone is working who cares if they're here or not?

None of these people would be eligible for any welfare or state $ until they are citizens.

If we enacted just those simple things we wouldn't have a problem with illegal immigration.

I think they'll be able to craft something as soon as we get a new Prez.

Trump seems to have lots of appeal to rednecks. Lots odf simple solutions that wont be simple to pull off in the ligitigous US. The Americans I was with last week were pretty damning about him, but there were a couple who liked the fact that he is going to drive a bulldozer through Washington which is seen to be at the root of US problems.

A third world country with pourous borders bordering one of the worlds richest countries. Result, a lot of immigrants, too many immigrants for some.

A deadlocked government dictating to local states with their own laws and taxes.

External terrorist threats that they can't control.

Trump will solve all these problems - only he won't. The legal eagles will tie him in knots. But rednecks believe he can do it. It is important for the whole world who is the President of the US. Look at the mess George left, Europe is now suffering the consequences.

There's many things not to like about Trump, but IMO these are mainly based on his brusque and bombastic speaking style. Policy-wise he's bang on the money about the most important issues - Mexican border control, the ever-growing threat of Muslims, and I'm sure he's the best candidate for the economy too. And he is the only candidate - and the first since Reagan - who might just, maybe, for a change do something positive for the always shoved-aside white working class, and for the silent and stoic non-protesting, non-rioting, non cop-killing white majority in general. Trust me I'd much prefer an articulate educated Virginian gentleman like Jared Taylor (Amren.com) but since that' s not going to happen then the Donald way is the only way. Hilary is poison.

    Indira Gandhi was very successful.

The reason she was murdered by sikhs, who betrayed their solemn oath to protect her, was that she ordered the storming of the Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar to counter the Punjab insurgency.

Of course she was corrupt - she was born, brought up and lived in India, no. 76 on the Corruption Perceptions Index 2015. She wouldn't have stood a chance to become premier without it.

She won the war against Pakistan in support of the independence movement (self-determination) in East Pakistan, which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh, and strongly increased India's influence in South Asia.

She reminds me a lot of Margaret Thatcher, another tough nut.

This is typical of Trump. For him its all about Trump. He doesn't want his time as president to be messed up by any of the concerns of the American people. Should such a man be president? Of course not!

Trump represents nothing more than the end result of the “Southern Strategy” used originally by President Nixon (aka “Tricky Dicky”) and, subsequently, all of the Republican presidents to a greater or lesser extent.

Unfortunately the GOP, previously the party of Lincoln, has become the home of the Birchers and the Klan.

@48 I have to agree with you. Trump is a classic case of NPD, a liar, a bragger, a bully and revengeful. Not a person you would wish to lead the free world. His demographic of voters is mostly white, mostly male and mostly undereducated. He plays on people's fears.

He likes to brag about his fortune but fails to mention he was born into wealth. He has had every advantage and has had many failures. He peddles a false ideal that if it were not for those immigrants and muslims, those undereducated, white males would be as rich as him.

It would a great misfortune for the world if such a man were to be President of the U.S. . The alternatives are not ideal but any of the candidates would be preferable to him.
