My understanding was that the rig was “ not fit for purpose ” or in other words they had lots of mechanical issues. “ For convenience ” sounds grand but I think far from the truth.

I'm giving you the Black Spot Think. Always so negative, you should be nicer to your neighbours and learn to live in peace and harmony. Your sad existence would thus be improved.

Think- I think if you look up you will find Premier and Noble cancelled the contract for Safety and other Maintenance Issues - would have thought you would have been in favour of Falklands maintaining high safety standards?

Who knows - with 4 wells at least to drill they might even next year contract a smaller one more suited to the location and far far cheaper than the big one that was hired at peak oil prices and thus peak hire rates!

No worries, a handful of English in Malvinas will continue with their lavish lifestyles meanwhile the poor British taxpayer in Britain will pick the bill as usual.
    Stealing is bad karma.

You should know, It takes one to know one. Anyhow, how many times do you have to be told before it finally sinks in ( just like your navy ) that the ONLY expense that the UK taxpayer pays is for the defense of the FALKLANDS.And that is minimal and no-one but no-one ( except Jeremy Corbyn ) minds paying such a paltry sum.

Yes Marcos, the poor British Taxpayer.
    Crocodile tears.
The British could save a small amount(only small)if all military were removed from the Falklands.
But they can't do that because of a noisy, belligerent, threatening, obnoxious country just to the west of these lslands.
You know what country that is, Marcos?
    Yes, thats right, its Argentina.

Your only connection with the real world is AR-SHEN-TI-NA.

Yeah I'd say you need to get slightly more educated. After all what's the use of a huge brain when you clearly can't use it.

    @hughbrain,
Well thats awfully nice of you say that, but Mr l might disagree with you. lol!
We can get most things without Argentina.
lt would have been nice to have a normal neighbourly relationship with them/you? but at present l'm afraid that is not possible.
l was in China just over a year ago & brought home bulging suitcases of kid's clothes. Plus l make clothes.
    Thats just one instance.
