Argentine President Mauricio Macri flew after midday to Rome ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican. Macri flew in an Alitalia commercial flight accompanied by his wife Juliana Awada, their small daughter Antonia and a small delegation of close aides and three provincial governors specially invited for the occasion. Disclaimer & comment rulesI don't know who us worse.... Argentine Presidents wasting time continually visiting the Pope? Or the Pope for continuing to receive Argentine Presidents seemingly every few months?

Feb 26th, 2016 - 08:43 am - Link - Report abuse 0Yet he has no problem with a Queen heading a monarchical system, who is also supposedly appointed by God. At least the Pope isn't on anyone's coins, people can freely choose to follow him or not. Subjects like you have no choice.
Pope bad, queen good?
It's that time of the day again...
Anglos will be (ozzer) ANGLOS.
It's a CONSTITUTIONAL monarchy not an ABSOLUTE monarchy you dimwitted idiot.

Feb 26th, 2016 - 11:46 am - Link - Report abuse 0I´d say both.
We are not a papal state. We are not a theocracy. I am personally sick of this presidential obsequious towards this pope-dude.
We know that Cristina used and abused of those visits as part of her erratic, hypocritical attitude (from not answering the phone to licking his butt), but, why does Macri have to visit this clown anyway?
I am sorry, I do not mean to offend any catholic here, but the current pope is a peronist-lover, with middle aged ideas, and the head of one the most corrupt clubs anywhere.
I am convinced that catholicism, mixed with hispanic culture, is one of the main reasons why south america is underdeveloped.
Why oh why weren´t we a British, protestant colony ???
:´(
Plenty of LAs down here the keep the fires going. Some Popes and Jesuits too

It's not too late to do the right thing: become an theist!
No worries about the fairies in the sky, no need to abdicate your humanity to a bunch of arsehole fanciers in dresses (and that's the 'men') of the RCCunts.
Why do you think the RCCunts INSIST only they can do the last rites? Did Jesus say that the last rites were needed? No he didn't, it's just one of many 'laws' the RCCunts dreamt up to gain a strangle hold on the febrile minded who believe that shit.
Despicable people followed by idiots.
Why oh why weren´t we a British, protestant colony ???

Feb 27th, 2016 - 01:12 am - Link - Report abuse 0The U.K. government owes allegiance to its electors, and to a Monarch, a Head of State.
The Argies government seek approval from the Head of a Religion.
Some people cannot see the difference.
Normally the brainwashed.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 07:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0@4 He's not a Peronist pope. He's a kirchnerist. Cristina satired evita with her crappy hyperinflation peso that nobody wanted. She's a jewish woman laughing at a nazi leader. The same thing with Kiciloff invoking evita in his communist speeches where he tries not to laugh. This wasn't peronism or An Argentine government...it was a parody of one. Timerman cries about the dictatorship, but Peron would have slapped his a$s around too. So maybe the pope is a satire of one too. Like CFK putting on the barking voice to sound like Isabelita.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 11:36 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I'd love to be a fly on the wall in this meeting - I hope his Holiness doesn't hold back on preaching his usual gospel of socialism, the gospel of Christ, to Macri and his hypocrites. The moneylenders in the Temple comes to mind :=)

@4 @ 12 peronism was headed by fellner and kiciloff ran the economy and timerman was foreign minister. Blame catholicism and hispanic culture for argentina's ruin? What are you smoking?

Who said that?
What does being Jewish have to do with anything?
Tell us the connection please.
Can you back it up?
How is Mantega and Levy's Brazil and Kiciloff's argentina mess not related? Why do these regions need jewish marxist management when they were tortured? (Timmerman and rousseff) I guess revenge isnt on your radar when assessing the ddsire for destruction in these house of cards hugo chavez now maduro dependent collapsing economies
