An Argentine court on Friday ordered former President Cristina Fernandez to face questions about her government's handling of the futures dollar market, marking the first time she has been legally summoned for any of the handful of investigations against her. Read full article

Feb 27th, 2016 - 04:45 am - Link - Report abuse 0Not one arrest for Libor, only one conviction (some poor underling). ONE lousy person, a poor devil, in a scandal that went on for 22 YEARS, and involved dozens of banks and investment houses. How many tens of thousands of people in total, past and present.
How about Subprime in NorthAmoland? Not one conviction, no arrests pending, no real investigations. 3 trillion dollar fraud, their justice system can't lick up a trace of evidence.
The incompetence of the Anglo Investigative and Legal system in full glory.
Meanwhile in NorthAMOland things are back to normal:

Here we go. Whilst I welcome all allegations I am particularly looking forward to the money laundering ones and the ones at the heart of her otherwise inexplicable jump in personal wealth.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 04:51 am - Link - Report abuse 0The Anglos more interested in some foreign president's skeletons, than in 3 trillion in financial fraud, 22 year rigging of a prime interest rate used for everything, or fabrication of evidence to lead multiple countries to a war of aggression were tens of thousands of soldiers are killed, hundreds of thousands of civilians and children were slaughtered, and the aftermath of which has been the entire unraveling of a world region, leading to now probably million plus dead when you count Syria, Libya, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, and all the terrorist attacks everywhere else.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 05:00 am - Link - Report abuse 0All together now...
Anglos....
Actually stop. This one is just way too important, and damning, to resort to felicitious levity. The crimes of the Anglo are beyond speak.

Feb 27th, 2016 - 05:10 am - Link - Report abuse 0I'm interested in all of those things also and I often express my views on them in various forums where they are the subject at hand. I suggest you go to one of those forums and express your views there also. That way someone may give you the debate you obviously crave from us 'Anglos' that you want nothing whatsoever to do with.
I am looking forward to TMBOA being made answer various allegations that implicate her because it will in some small way seem like some justice for the hardship she attempted to inflict on my small innocent home of 3,000 harmless, hard working people.

It's much easier to snipe in a little known forum where he can bring out his prejudices against Anglos....a pejorative term of his own manufacture.
It adds to his self esteem to bask in what he thinks are facts when they are nothing but his opinions coloured by a rightful feeling of inferiority as a non-member of the British diaspora.
I can take credit for the follow APPOSITE and correct nomenclatures:

Chinasian
Brazzo

All perfectly understandable nationalities, but not oficial.
Anglo, however, is completely official, in the Republic of Argentina. Anglo is a racial designation in this country. There are:
Anglo-Argentines
Anglo-America (America Anglosajona)
Anglo-Aggression (a world history concept)
And Anglo foreigners, which can be white, black, Asian, Indian, or Eskimo. Michael Jordan and Barack Obama are Anglo, Bono is Anglo, Usain Bolt is Anglo, etc, etc. In Argentina, an Anglo is someone who has English language genetics as their racial component.
So, as Nostrils speaks English.... he is therefore an Anglo!

Yes. If the mother is a hypocrite, then the baby has a much larger chance of developing Pecksniffian Syndrome later in life. If the mother is duplicitous, the baby has a higher incidence of Duplicity Disorder later in life.

Feb 27th, 2016 - 11:57 am - Link - Report abuse 0The story on the investigation of CFK and cronies on this matter is being carried fairly widely on both English- and Spanish-language media around the world.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 12:34 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Wall Street Journal:
BUENOS AIRES—A federal judge called on former President Cristina Kirchner to testify in court over accusations that her central bank president cost Argentina’s government billions of dollars by illegally trading derivatives.
http://www.wsj.com/articles/judge-calls-on-ex-argentine-president-kirchner-to-testify-in-derivatives-case-1456538145
The Kirchnerists are planning to take to the streets on the day that CFK is supposed to testify, and violent confrontations are almost certain. May be some good old-fashioned head-bashing. Stay tuned.
The judge in this case is interesting in his own right. His nickname here is The Gunfighter from a case some years ago in which he shot and killed two criminals in self-defence in what was described as an intense gunfight in Buenos Aires in which the judge used a .40-calibre Glock (considered minimum essential kit in Buenos Aires) and scored 10 hits on the bad guys. Maybe judge Bonadío will have better luck in dealing with the Kirchner mafia than did Nisman.
This one is long over due. This is a great story.....good enough to bring qui....er, I mean tobi out of the Canadian Rockies. Can you imagine just how tight tobi's thong is riding up his ass?
Feb 27th, 2016 - 02:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I think the funniest thing about tobi is that he is to Argentina as what yb is to Americans.
Market manipulation is small shit, they need to like her to the murder and the theft of a country while in office as president. It was never going to happen while in office, but now there is a real chance. Like to read what Stiuso has to say.
Tobi.......you never replied when I answered about proof......I can even go to Canada. Unfortunately, I won;t be back in Argentina for a while. Every time I'm in Argentina you disappear from posting, why is that? A month in Argentina and I could have hand delivered proof, unlike you, because of where you live in relation to Argentina. You should visit sometime tobi.
I am going to enjoy every moment of watching TMBOA squirm her way out of this the first of several cases. The funny thing about Tobi is that he didn't like CFK anyway and supports the Falkland Islanders' right to stay in the islands as British citizens but still he jumps about like a fish out of water; such is his perceived hatred for, as he calls us, 'Anglos.'
Feb 27th, 2016 - 02:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I can't wait until they start looking at TMBOA's own personal alleged money handling crimes. I hope she goes away for some time.
Pardon me for being cynical here but didn't the last moderately high powered person who wanted to dish the dirt of TMBOA in court end up good and dead (a still unsolved crime). Perhaps Claudio Bonadio thinks he is too high up the food chain for this to happen to him?

Feb 27th, 2016 - 02:57 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Perhaps, and perhaps TMBOA is no longer as high up the food chain as she was this time 2 years ago.

Feb 27th, 2016 - 03:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0CFK has been called in to explain the incompetence of her government, and possible corruption.
Not only is it embarrassing for her, but it will open many avenues of investigation, names will be spoken, and awkward questions will be generated.

Who will be the first to sell out the others?
It's going to be interesting.
Especially as the previously muzzled Judiciary is now free to pursue their cases...

Now with no protection, he's vulnerable. In turn, he might be deemed as a danger by CFK and her dwindling loyalists.
Who thinks Bobo will meet with a fatal accident before he can sing?
I thought it was interesting that when he tried to take (flee) a trip to Mexico he was denied. Rest assured he is being tracked. It might be a while but they will have them.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 04:03 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I don't think it was ever reported that after the elections, during the transition there was a fire in the Treasury. Burned all the PC's and backup drives, but maybe not all. It will be interesting to see exactly what evidence the hold against them. Regardless, Macri wanted to extinguish Kirchnerism like a bad smelling cigarette and he is prepared to do whatever it takes. Her own Fvp has already abandoned her like fleas on a street dog. Most were hold hostage with threats of violence anyway. That was the MO of Kirchnerism....threats and violence.
Stiuso will be the key to take down Kirchner and her drug running cronies. If they don't .....Macri and the DEA will.
@18 Apparently Judge Bonadío packs a mean Glock and knows how to use it. More street-smart than Nisman. And from what I understand he is not only still packing a sidearm but both he and his bodyguards have stylish new body armour.

My son will be heading back to BA this June to Spanish school; the last time he was there in 2014 he was quite dismayed by the sense of despair and apathy among his friends ....... and that was during the World Cup!

Feb 27th, 2016 - 06:51 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It will be good to hear first hand reports from your son.
Yeah, he loved the social component of life in BA (a little overwhelming at times though); but found the general pessimism rather stifling, and the petty crime very distracting. Hopefully things are looking up.

Singapore, sounds like a disciplined society with a component of true social responsibility.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 08:14 pm - Link - Report abuse 0An Argentine wouldn't last 15 minutes in Singapore without committing a dozen felonies.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 08:31 pm - Link - Report abuse 0I never felt a presence of despair when I was there and I was there for the World Cup, but not the finals. What type of crime did he experience? Perhaps being born in NYC, being a vet and still living in urban areas, crime is a relative thing. As for Singapore, a country that is willing to arrest me for oral sex with my wife, although only recently changed, you can have. I'm not to found of countries that imprison you for criticizing the government, but I digress.
Feb 27th, 2016 - 09:19 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Troy I was not in BA (city) all too long, but the air (attitude) seemed different, more relaxed and the streets were cleaner. I spent most of my time in the south, Patagonia.
When I was in BA, I was at this restaurant one night and this large group of Russians were there. Like 10 guys to two whorish looking women.....real stereo-typical Russians. They were already shit faced when we arrived. One spoke very bad Spanish and was ordering bottles of win, tying half and sending them back. It was really comical. They were in and out smoking as well. They finally demanded wotka. They could barely stand at this point and they wanted a bottle. This was a pretty good restaurant so they really were a spectacle. They waiter was trying to explain they are not a bar and don't sell by the bottle. Well they finally got a bottle.....poured everyone rounds and stood and saluted mother Russia. It really was a comical site.
I think drugs has reached a staggering level there. A major reason (known or not publicly) that Macri accepted the DEA assistance. Traffiking is really bad there, but many knew that already.
I think we I noticed was that poverty increased dramatically but I felt generally, the people felt relief that Macri was in but also felt that their are forces working against him to see the country fail even more.
I will probably be returning sooner than I expected but that works well.
Unfortunately CFK's medical histrionics will be back on centre stage. I wonder what new and unusual whingefests we will be subject to. At least the libor brokers turned up for court eh TTT!

Feb 27th, 2016 - 11:27 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Argentinians by nature are sad. They were brought up to think they are the best in the world then when reality hits them they go into an angry depression.
Feb 28th, 2016 - 01:28 am - Link - Report abuse 0As a tourist, you may not see how out of control the crime is. In the 1st world most have never heard of an express kidnapping. It happens all the time there.
In civilized countries you don't have to fear walking down the street talking on your phone, carrying an iPad or wearing a decent watch. It's unheard of outside of the deepest darkest most dangerous part of the large cities.
The troubles that ails Argentina must be fixed on a Societal level. Changing a Prez won't do it. They have a sickness that's seem inherited, almost genetic, of the opposite of what civilized people consider fair play, doing the right thing, they want to feel like their winning when they cheat.
They have no understanding of consequence. I think this is why so many drive drunk. Why there are so many fatal car accidents. Why they are so violent.
They are also a very selfish people. Any Society that would allow children to pick through garbage, sell trinkets or beg in traffic is sick and in need of drastic change.
I hope that they find links to the outrageous crimes the Kirchners committed.
It would be nice if they took Brazil's lead and prosecuted the corrupted politicians.
It will be interesting to see if it happens.
Yea Yea yb....and Americans are violent, Brits have bad terth, Canadians are passive and French are pussy fighters ........you post stupider shit as paine. Express Kidnappings, at lest you come out alive and there is REASON behind them.
Mass shootings: you always come out DEAD and there is no reason behind them.
It can easily be argued the kidnapping for money is far more civilized and humane than gunning down 6 year old children in class, teenage couples at a movie theater, the elderly walking in a sidewalk, people filling their cars, shopping at a supermarket, etc, etc, etc, etc... for no reason.
It's now to the point I can't keep up with the shootings anymore, at least two years ago, it was once a week and I had time to rest. Now I go to wash my hands and come back to the computer and already another mass shooting:

Solidarity to comrade Cristina. This persecution is in a way more blatant that I expected - instead of trying to frame her on any of the mountain of smears thrown at her over the years, it now looks like they're trying to declare anti-neoliberal economic policy itself a crime. If they want to summon her they'll have to summon us, internationally - including now the quite possible next leaders of the UK and USA...
Feb 28th, 2016 - 04:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0MY TRUE COLLECTIVE FIGHT.
Feb 28th, 2016 - 05:17 pm - Link - Report abuse 0It's well known that many politic parties, and different social groups want to see C. F. K. in prison since a long time ago, because they are convenced that she's the biggest thief in the country, despite justice has never determined such terrible things against her, beside, most of the accusations are based on the media operations of some chanels and newspapers, which have such a very low moral, everybody in Argentina knows it, although many people don't recognize it. All these facts explain why our hegemonical press just publishes the denounces of corruption cases that involve C. F. K.'s government, and omit sistematicly Macri's past as a trafficant, saved by the menemist supreme court in the 90's, which some members were Menem's friends, and the more of 200 denounces for irregular actions against' Macri's administration, when he was the chief of government of Buenos Aires city.
Anyway, it's not my intention to make a defence of the dignity of the former president, because i really don't know whether she is guilty or inocent, but i am not ingenous to believe that Bonadio is looking for justice. If C. F. K. commited a delit, she is not the only one who should go in prison, in fact, some others should share a small cabin with her, like judge Bonadio, who has been accused of terrible delits since many years ago, however, if he hasn't fallen yet, is because he's supported by the most reactionary and powerful sector of our justice .
I have always said that although i feel so much affection for Cristina, if a serious judge determines with solid arguments that she commited a delit, i won't move not even one finger to ask for her liberation, but what i will keep on doing untill the last day of life, is to defend the achievements that workers, and all the rest of our society could get in all these years. It wouldn't be extrange that all this, is part of a hard vendetta.

The caring Argentinian method of animal welfare.
If you looked at the article you quote, you would see that the factory is Afrikaans and the workers are black. Neither could be considered as Anglosas there is no English component to their native or maternal speech either inside the womb or outside. The skins are used by Italian and French luxury goods companies to make handbags. No doubt also purchased by moneyed Argentinians such as C.F.K. You consider the French and Italians as Anglos ?
I have actually been to the Little Karoo and can assure you that English is very much a second language. The whites speak Afrikaans and the natives speak Bantu. If you called an Afrikaaner an Anglo, he would bounce your head off the ground before kicking you into touch
So, true to form, you got it WRONG again.
