Mar 12th, 2016 - 03:14 am - Link - Report abuse 0Your taxes allow you to play.
How you like the game so far?
So far your taxes have gone into the pockets of rich people. Please keep playing. The rich people need more money and you need to keep providing it via your taxes.
The system of economy followed by Brazil is unsustainable and impractical. Therefore; the booms are rare but the dooms are frequent. Hence it is necessary for the govt. to keep on adding more & more taxes. REF: The Central Bank calls for structural reforms and budget control:
Mar 12th, 2016 - 09:38 am - Link - Report abuse 0- Structural Reforms: Possible [perhaps]
- Budget Control: Impossible and it's a Joke!
Clearly the financial 'management' of Brazil has run the gamut from 0 to zero!

The Ever Present Corruption apart;
Mar 12th, 2016 - 12:49 pm - Link - Report abuse 0- Why else the booms are rare but the dooms are frequent?
- Why else the taxes keep increasing each year?
- Why else the Public-Sector keeps on making huge losses, year after year?
So after the Olympics,
Mar 13th, 2016 - 08:15 pm - Link - Report abuse 0will brazil survive.
Brazil is most likely continue to remain in red as long as the population does not stay united against corruption.
Mar 14th, 2016 - 04:45 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Brazil did enjoy some good days, thanks to the Brazilian Entrepreneurship which made the best of the Int'l. Economic Situation [and of course, the corrupt & the crappy politicians took the credit for the Good Times].
As far as the Olympics is concerned; the unsold tickets is a MINOR problem in comparison to the capital which Went Down the Drain on the Overpriced, Abandoned & Incomplete Structures - most of which will neither be completed nor will be used after the events. So; the Olympics is a TOTAL Loss for Brazil!
If inflation, or rather, the cost of living index, as per the 12-month IPCA, dropped slightly, to me, the main reason for this stems more from the fact that people are not willing to spend money in view of the uncertain future, than from any action taken by the incomPeTent, corruPT PT government.
Mar 14th, 2016 - 05:23 pm - Link - Report abuse 0Hi, Jack! I see the Brazilian Government, not as incompetent but as HIGHLY competent - efficient as well experienced - in permanently establishing corruption in Brazil.
