Cuba - you have to be joking! What about its intervention in Central America in the '70s and '80s insurrections in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua? And in Colombia and Bolivia?

Why is it at every media opportunity Argentina insists on reminding the world they do not control the Falkland Islands.

It's almost as if they want to remind the world what a weak country they are with no military capability whatsoever.

    @7 zathras

“Why is it at every media opportunity Argentina insists on reminding the world they do not control the Falkland Islands.”

It might have been assumed that Macri was more about getting results-which surely means any slight chance Argentina have of achieving their aim is to talk to the Islanders or go to the ICJ.

Getting the support of looney countries who aren't even democratic is bordering on colonialism, which went out years ago.

How is support from Cuba going to advance their claim?

What's Cuba going to do? Attack the MPA garrison with left wing rebel symbolism?

Your comment is spot on, they are emphasising what they don't, and won't have.

I don't think they know what the meaning of 'blockade”.
    Argys are terrible politicians.
What did they accomplish here other than bad mouthing the USA the only country that could help them avoid their impending collapse.

That stupid women is worse than Timmerman and I thought that was impossible.

The only thing the Argys accomplish is setting lower and lower bars of failure.

One of my work colleagues is from Czechoslovakia.
And has told me of live under Communism.
During the Communist dictatorship, basic human rights were subjugated in awful way.
People still cling to this view that somehow this was a socialist garden of eden.
It was not, it was bad people doing terrible thing to people in the name of a broken ideology, not unlike religious fundamentalism now.

Well, I suppose Macri has to have a Malignant Midget as his foreign secretary to placate the idiots in the UN and Latam in general.

I think she is a close run thing to 'chicken or pizza' and that worked well, ha, ha, ha.
