Perhaps they actually achieve something if they got all the families to agree to what is being proposed. Without that unity, it isn't likely to happen.

Of course, if those swimmers want to take the remains back to Argentina, I'm sure some of the locals own a shovel.

This is just the usual propaganda nonsense. Nobody is convinced.

Idol worship keeps SA backward. Enter a church or cathedral and witness gross stupidity and waste of resources.

“Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.”~ Pope Pius IX

Didn't work too well in '82

I was raised a catholic but put all that mumbo-jumbo behind me many years ago but I distinctly remember that a rosary should only be used for prayer or meditation and to use a rosary for any other purpose made it meaningless

This is outrageous - instead of supporting this senseless endeavour why didn't the Argentine church hierarchy condemn the events of 1982 which lead to such a loss of life on both sides of the conflict.

    Boorish behaviour!

By the look of the old twat at least the 'swimmers' will be spared buggery.

That's about all you can say concerning the RCCunts.

It did it for me when the Chief Twat spoke against abortion to prevent badly disabled zika babies being born.

Dear Arg Bishops and all the rets of you-Marcos and others included.
IF you really want to resolve this issue- it is VERY SIMPLE
You need to start to talk to the legitimate authority in control of all INTERNAL matters in and on the Islands.

It is called: The Falkland Islands Government.

Simple fact is - if Arg or Int Red Cross approach the UK Govt in London - they will simply refer you to the above - who has the Authority over all internal issues.

    Got It?

But I suspect you actually do NOT want to resolve it - for your own rather pathetic little political reasons you just want to keep stirring it up with false statements and lies at times.

Given the last few Argentine ventures, I'd be surprised if these swimmers even reach the Falkland Islands.

I'll be even more surprised if they:

    a) actually attempt the swim
    b) actually complete the swim
    c) actually survive the conditions in the Falklands Sound

I've got a feeling that they'll take one look at the waves in the sound and then cry off, which is actually the right thing to do, otherwise they'd be committing suicide, which I believe the Catholic Church frowns upon far more than rape and child abuse.

As for their cause, well they should be swimming the River Plate instead, because it is the Argentine government that has consistently refused to listen to the families of the dead soldiers of Argentina's imperialist colonial ambitions, and has consistently refused to talk to the ONLY people who can give permission for these 'tests' to take place: the Falkland Islands Government.

And the Falkland Islands Government has stated that it would consider ANY request to assist in the identification of these soldiers BUT only if ALL of the families agree to it, which they're not.

Finally, these simmers should be protesting why it is so many Argentine soldiers were unidentified, and call for the prosecution of the Argentine officers and NCO's that KNEW their identities and REFUSED to identify them.

Strangely enough there are no British graves in the Falklands that state: “British soldier known only to God”, because the British Officers and NCO's respected their men, respected their sacrifice and ENSURED that they were all given a decent burial.

Then these British Officers and NCO's, along with the VICTIMS of Argentina's imperialist colonial ambitions: the Falkland Islanders, ENSURED that the Argentine dead were given decent burials, and showed them far more RESPECT than ANY Argentine government EVER has or EVER will.

Argentina you should hang your heads in shame but since you know no shame you honestly don't see how vile your actions really are.

@8...Much cleaner water in the Sound, wouldn't want to swim in the River Plate.

A couple of hours swimming in sewer soup isn't that appealing.

Surely it can only be good for the cause as it highlights the issue lies with Argentina, the more noise they make the more likely they will get to hear the truth from outside Argentina.

This would be a lot easier than attempting to swim the Sound!

It's like Argentina talking to countries like Cuba to support their claim and going all over the world, everywhere else than the place they are claiming!

Even if their attempts are doomed to failure, they only have to convince 3000 people it's a good idea to be Argentine.

Instead they waste time getting support from people who can't actually do anything. to advance their claim. A bit like a dog being put off the trail of it's prey with a decoy, except the Argentines are laying their own decoy!

Excuse me, I find this hilarious as Argentina seem to prefer to kill a rat by sucking its brains out through its ass.

Have these jokers actually invited themselves or have they asked if they can enter private land, i.e. Fanning Point (which is where they said they would be swimming from, in an earlier press release). Last I heard, they had even bothered with the common courtesy of asking the landowners.

.Is it not up to the Falkland’s government to say yes or no?

Considering they will use it for propergander purposes.

Several months ago we were told about the “Virgin of the Falklands”(an Argentine invention, of course!) - will her image be accompanying these “intrepid” fools?

    It wouldn't be a surprise!

    hmmm...

”I also take this opportunity as an act of recognition towards all those brothers, whom in their youth did the maximum sacrifice, representing us”, said Bishop Marino.

So this sleazebag is using his position in an international religious organisation to promote an Argentine nationalist agenda, and states that as far as he is concerned the violent act of attempting to annex the Falklands and subjugate the Falklanders was carried out by his representatives with his approval (recognition).

Or am I reading that wrong?

What a vile excuse for a human being Marino is.

And then we have Julio Aro, that at first look seems to be involved in Malvinista indoctrination of handicapped children? Would that be classed as a hate crime in the civilised world?

I would hope someone at the FIG would see this is investigated and if it seems to be the case, then if this pair set foot on EU territory they as made to answer for their actions.

That's what they are secretly hoping so they can play the 'victim' card again.

Let them in, but confiscate any propaganda material, such as flags.

    Then let them swim.

Assuming they actually make it, the Falkland Islands Government can have a nice photo op with them with the Falklands Flag flying proudly in the background.

But I really doubt this is going to happen. They're going to take one look at the conditions in the sound (I mean the Falklands will be heading towards winter very soon - so not great conditions at all) and call it off for safety reasons (which would be sensible and right thing to do).

If they are stupid enough to attempt it, and have to be rescued by the Falkland Island authorities, then the FIG should have a film crew on standby to record the event with lots of Falklands flags in the background. Then the Argentines can be filmed thanking their rescuers, the Falkland Islanders.

Finally, the FIG can then send these people a bill for being so stupid in the 1st place.

    Time will tell though.

Assuming they get to the islands I would pay good money to see their faces when they realize they have to back down or risk death!

    @20 ChrisR

    Indeed.

Also when are they meant to be doing this swim? I mean I can't find the date, or even an approximate date for their 'undertaking'. I mean receiving 'rosaries' (like that's somehow going to stop them drowning) appears to be something you would do just before you set out on your endeavour.

Does anyone know if these clowns have even arrived in the Falklands yet?
