Argentine runner wins Falklands' Standard Chartered marathon in record time

An Argentine long distance runner has won the Falkland Islands “Standard Chartered Stanley Marathon” which is officially the World's Most Southerly AIMS-Certified Marathon. Rafael Lencina from the northern province of Tucuman completed on Sunday the 26 miles in 2 hours 35 minutes and 34 seconds, which is also a new record for the competition. Read full article

    Instead, we Argentines are used to “correr la coneja.”
    We do it when there is little food and we run after a hare or rabbit for dinner.

    A great achievement indeed. Smashed the course record by 5 seconds. It was set last year by a primary school teacher ( who didnt have access to a coach or altitude training). Just saying.....

    Although I have no military background of any kind, I have had the chance to talk to several war veterans from different countries, specially from the US. If I have learn something from them, that would be that you don´t make fun of war veterans at all, because they experienced actual sh*t and went back.

    So remarks like yours cause nothing but making you look bad.
