Another splendid US example of the executive branch meddling in judicial affairs that are essentially private in nature but provide opportunities for political advantages.

And we have seen nothing yet. Wait till those who accepted a 70 per cent haircut that represent 92 per cent of the defaulted debt find a judge that rules they too should get 100 per cent, in a similar “equal treatment” interpretation to that of Judge Griesa.
With his complacent concessions and his hurry to “come back to the world,” Macri has placed Argentine on shaking ground, without any visible advantage.

What a great opportunity it would have been for Mr Obama to point out to the Argentine people that if they run up a large debt, then they have to pay it back, with interest and if some people don't want their debt restructured then that's ok, they can expect to be paid back in full..

Oh we are so lucky in the UK that we have this wonderful man coming to see us very soon to share his wisdom with us. How will we manage until he gets here.

Pari passu was part of the original bond ownership contract obligations and it did not expire, but the RUFO clause that was involved in the contracts for the restructured debt expired in 2014. Big difference. Of course, Argentines at any latitude don't understand the concept of contractual obligations.

Delusional commie lights already with the revisionism when the ink isn't even dry on the worst presidency ever.

Obammy presided over the weakest post recessionary non economic recovery in history.

In the process of failing to restore economic vitality Obammy will have doubled the national debt to 20 + Trillion dollars in just Eight years.

The whole of the middle east and much of the rest of the muslim nations are political destabilized and or under attack internally and or externally by extremist due directly to the actions and inactions of Obammy.

Obammy has failed to impede Russia in its consolidation of power in south Georgia and has signaled to Putin through his fecklessness that it was OK to seize Crimea and partition the balance of Ukraine.

Obammy has bolstered the Iranium and Cubar regimes just as they were ready to implode.

Per black leaders, Obammy has failed to advocate for social issues and betrayed blacks in failing to stem the flood of the exportation jobs overseas and by trying to expand it.

While pledging never again with the too big to fail rhetoric, Obammy has allowed banks to consolidate markets becoming even larger than they were 8 years ago and has now failed to control a second explosion in derivatives.

Obammy's pivot to Asia has failed to thwart the territorial aspirations of China and as with Russia rather than being impeded they are emboldened as was Assad when Obammy failed to respond when his famous line in the sand was crossed without consequence.

With the appointment of Janet Yellen Obamy signalled a fragmented, contradictory monetary policy that has roiled markets internationally and has contributed to a global slip towards a universal economic crisis.

His domestic policies produce hardship and have lead to a widening of economic disparity.

And he has served as an agent of moral decay.

Obammy is now left to ponder the damage he has wrought.

What's really funny is that burnie and even hills are acknowledging Obammy's multiplicity of failures despite the fact that both have contributed to them only on totally separate sets of issues. Burnie fully indicts Obammy on job exportation and international adventurism.

The resident commie lights are too devoid of intelligence to realize that burnie actually gets it right on banking. Glass Stegall should be reinstated and expanded as should SAA and applied to Google and Walmart. Obammy sold his soul to Wall Street and should be indicted for Solyndra. And carried interest should taxed as it's an elective deferment

Hilly is the sweetheart of the insiders and gets zero correct other than her own pathetic self interests. If it's good for cliton you can be sure it's bad for the future as evidenced by the flight of young supporters.

    30. It is well researched that the Dem Congress through their bad gov't policies caused the FNMA Freddie mac collapse.

    http://www.nber.org/

Democrats and the media insist the Community Reinvestment Act, the anti-redlining law beefed up by President Clinton, had nothing to do with the subprime mortgage crisis and recession.

But a new study by the respected National Bureau of Economic Research finds, “Yes, it did. We find that adherence to that act led to riskier lending by banks.”

Added NBER: “There is a clear pattern of increased defaults for loans made by these banks in quarters around the (CRA) exam. Moreover, the effects are larger for loans made within CRA tracts,” or predominantly low-income and minority areas.

To satisfy CRA examiners, “flexible” lending by large banks rose an average 5% and those loans defaulted about 15% more often, the 43-page study found.

The strongest link between CRA lending and defaults took place in the runup to the crisis — 2004 to 2006 — when banks rapidly sold CRA mortgages for securitization by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Wall Street.

CRA regulations are at the core of Fannie’s and Freddie’s so-called affordable housing mission. In the early 1990s, a Democrat Congress gave HUD the authority to set and enforce (through fines) CRA-grade loan quotas at Fannie and Freddie.

It passed a law requiring the government-backed agencies to “assist insured depository institutions to meet their obligations under the (CRA).” The goal was to help banks meet lending quotas by buying their CRA loans.

But they had to loosen underwriting standards to do it. And that’s what they did.

    Troy you are scary stupid.

States with open carry are the safest around.

Too bad mamby pampy weak wristed liberals will never understand that.

Gaetz then compared the total number of violent crimes (defined by federal officials as murder, forcible rape, robbery and aggravated assault) with the total population in the eight states without open carry in 2012. We checked his math and found the same result: Those states had a combined violent crime rate of about 434 per 100,000 people. The remaining 42 states had a violent crime rate of about 352 per 100,000. That means states with open carry laws did have a 23 percent lower violent crime rate that year.

Real Americans have very strong feelings about their political alliance.

As an American, which candidate do you support?

    Won't answer?

    Yeah, thought not.

    That's your opinion.

You were never in a debate club were you?
Did you even make it out of High School?

Troy I find you off-putting probably like most people you've ever met.

You add nothing to the conversation, you attack and then answer with ad-hominem nonsense.

If anyone is a Troll it's you.

You love to deflect by trying to engage others in off-topic arguments.

As a debater, do you actually have a position to assert or defend?

You never make a statement except to criticise, but you have no position of your own.

    @72 YB

I guess that makes you a hypocrite, then.

You say you have “facts”, yet you fail to post the link !!

Captain Poppy made a comment @59

“Theread is a petition going around to allow open carry side arms at the GOP convention. Let's see how much the GOP believes in the 2nd amendment. And a crazy shooter at the Capitol Building today.”

    I gave my answer.

    Given your “facts”,
Do YOU think it's good idea to allow open carry sidearms at Trump campaign conventions?

Aboot time you start deflecting something, eh?

    Americans by Gallup:

33% do not know who delivered the Gettsburg address

8% do know know who the 1st US President was

43% can't name 2 of the 3 branches or government

41% do not know how many senators each state has

66% do not know where “ We hold these truths to be self evident” come from or ever heard of them

53% do not know what the first ten amendments of the Constitution is called

83% do not know who the current Chief Justice of SCOTUS is

    According to Gallup. Proud Americans!!

So, never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers, Trump might be President. Watch the documentary, idiocracy if you believe otherwise. Oops, I forgot, that was a comedy film at the time only to evolve INTO a documentary.

The secret service would never allow guns in the convention so the question is moot.

I gave you a some facts above showing ”open carry' states (and there's more coming probably 8 by eoy) are safer than those that don't allow it.
    I like safe states.

One of the glorious freedoms we have enshrined in the Constitution of the USA is the right to bear arms. Nothing or No one will ever impinge on that right.

Do you thank your Diety every day you were born under the protection of the USA?
    If not you should.

“The secret service would never allow guns in the convention so the question is moot”

    Hardly moot.
Forget whether the Secret Service will “allow” it.

Based on the “facts”, do YOU conclude that attendees of the Trump convention should have ready access to open carry sidearms ?

C'mon, it's not too hard - yes or no??

    Sure, why not?

Trump's rallies have been infiltrated by Sanders supporters and when they get out of line the crowd takes care of them.
    As they should.
I think they've been too passive with them, too nice if it were up to me they be less a few teeth so they remember next time they want to suppress free speech and agitate at a private event. They bring it on themselves and are shocked when people retaliate. They get what they deserve.

Funny you don't see Trump supporters wreaking havoc at either of the Dem candidates rallies, blocking traffic, causing a ruckus. It shows a better class of people are on the Repub side. Ones that actually believe in free speech and lawful assembly.

Its always the Dem/Lib side that are the aggressors, hate mongers, free speach suppressors, word police, etc etc etc everything that is wrong with the USA and the world.

    Thanks for being candid.

Can you explain then, why non-Trump supporters are physically attacked and violently ejected for nothing more than wearing Sanders shirts?

If this mob violence is your vision of a New America, I shudder.

While we are on thebTrump issue,
Do you want to see Trump as POTUS?

Try re-reading my post and see if you can figure out the answer to your last question all by yourself. It's all there if you can actually read.

I am not going to discuss candidates with a Canadian.
You don't understand the USA and never will.

You also didn't answer my questions, do you thank your deity every day for being protected by the USA?

    @80 YB

You are right, I don't understand.
Are you embarrassed to say that Trumps policies resonate with you as a voter, or do you not want to admit that he destroying the Republican Party?

As to Canada's reliance on her NATO partner and Co-operative Dew Line defence network, that's quite off-topic.

When Captain Poppy made a comment to me about loonies at the Trump Convention wanting to open carry sidearms, I responded to him.

YOU jumped in unasked, quoting unsubstantiated statistics about gun ownership and crime, as though you were refuting my observation that the mentally unstable and hateful should not have ready access to weapons.

However, for some reason you refused to confirm that you thought they should be allowed to carry weapons.

A strange paradox - that's why I asked you those questions.

Your unconnected Justin Trudeau questions, slagging of Canadians, and questions about National Defence are not related to this discussion.

I will however clarify one point.

I do not feel any safer or more grateful knowing that there is a short redneck with an inferiority complex in Yakima, taking his kids to school while packing a Desert Eagle.

You do realize that that's the same guy who would protect you weak wristed Canadians from an invasion.
Well you all run and hide, while The pretty Socialist is begging the USA to do something.

“Responsible gun owners... ” - I know they're out there, some of them are my friends and I respect them.

It's the emotionally unstable and unpredictable having guns that I worry about.

It has nothing to do with invasions from the “Reds”.

Hate Politics, Loonies, and guns - NO WAY!!

Oh, but you see no problem with that?

BTW, as you pointed out - the Secret Service wouldn't trust that either.

I see no problem with that. There's not a way to judge who “deserves” to have a gun or not. I certainly would not leave that up to the State to decide. Would you?

It has everything to do with personal protection, whether its from common criminals, violent relatives, foreign invasion or one's own gov't.

I find it difficult an adult doesn't understand that but as I said as a Canadian who relies solely on someone else for their protection you never will.
