A consortium led by France's Total and U.S.-based super major ExxonMobil Corp started this week drilling for oil off Uruguay, Industry, Energy and Mining Minister Carolina Cosse announced. Apr 01st, 2016 - 08:20 pm - Link - Report abuse 0janway oil is important not only for energy generation (I agree that now Uruguay has a strong development on renewable resources, and its a good, tough expensive path), but for many other industries, like food, plastics, car tyres, even for medicine...It´s a large boon for any economy.
