What a load of old clap-trap about nuffin. David Cameron cleared his plate years ago before becoming PM. For heavens sake there are greater issues at stake than his former association with his dad's Blair more (but what an apt name!). Give the PM a breather and focus on what is best for UK/Europe and within that context the Falklands.

3- Read and learn idiot- He inherited it - he did not earn it nor place it there himself! Any interest it accrued before he sold it which he transferred to UK - he will have paid tax in like all others that have similar investments do!

Cameron is no different from anyone else in trying to make a bit of money and hang on to it. The only thing this proves is that government is out of control -- it's taking too much of everyone's money, and taking too much control over people's lives, businesses and property. If government was doing only what is necessary, and keeping taxes at a tolerable level, one wouldn't have to take money and business dealings elsewhere to avoid being taxed into poverty.

We have heard the tip of the iceberg, we need to know his tax returns from 2005 when he became leader of the conservative party. So happy the Labour Party are keeping up the pressure on him and not letting it drop, I truly hope this brings him down and we cab get someone more in touch with the British people, because this guy is so far detached from real life.

It's not whether he did or didn't, or whether it's illegal or immoral..

As Alastair Campbell put it - once YOU are the story, and it lasts more than 2 days, then the only way to stop the story is to resign.

His arrogance or hubris meant he thought he could get away with slagging off Jimmy Carr and the like for having offshore accounts, and that no-one would notice that he had one. It doesn't matter if it was a different type of account, or whether he paid his tax - he comes over as hypocritical, and he obviously didn't want this to become public. He is now a liability, and he will have to make way for Boris. Gawd 'elp us!

@14 - or as the sign in the Clachaig Inn, Glencoe says - “No dogs or Campbells”.

@13 - No, I'm not saying that. He can carry on of course. But he has lost so much credibility with the ham-fisted way he dealt with predictable and straightforward questions. He had over 5 years to come up with an explanation, but he tried to bluster his way out.

@15 Campbell loved to control the media and they would love to control the country. I think we should never give in to media pressure.

Has Cameron done anything illegal? If not then this is just the politics of envy. Give in to media pressure over something a politician did that was not illegal and we take a dangerous step. We don't live by mob rule; we have a democratic process that has to be respected and maintained.

I have no particular love of Cameron as PM but I do care about our democratic system.

@17, Elaine, you don't have to do something illegal to resign. No-one is suggesting illegality.

It is hypocrisy and hubris - to think he is untouchable. That's what often brings people down. How can he publicly criticise Jimmy Carr (and reveal his private tax affairs) and others for doing something he did and kept secret. He should come clean, apologise and try to move on. “We are all in it together”, remember.

  • ElaineB

@18 He has admitted it. He inherited some share and disposed of them. Why should he resign?

No it is not hypocrisy or hubris. He is not untouchable. If he does something illegal he should resign. The media whipping up the mob over something they have decided he should resign over is something we should resist. Unless we want to be entirely controlled by media.

As a PM, I am not a fan but I support the process of our laws.

Its difficult to discern what all the kerfuffle is about. Knowing nothing about Cameron my own research in the public domain months ago revealed that his father had deposited funds off-shore. If I was aware of this how come journalists and the Labour Party are now feigning surprise?

David Cameron has still been a safe pair of hands after the banking crisis, by Blair's Labour party that extended rich-poor difference. He's not dealing with excessive figures compared with housing in south-east England. And he's sorted a lot of his own issues out 6 years ago, plus wider issues in politics.
I would drag his accussers' through the mill of judgement to see how they stood up to scrutiny.
(Isn't a certain CFK going to court for millions siphoned off from govt. accounts?!) I don't see a comparison.
Plus, David Cameron has stood up for the Falklands and UN rights, self-determination versus Corbyn who's allegiances are mis-placed, plus has no understanding how our nuclear deterrent works in the viewpoint of those who would wish us harm. Corbyn is a threat to this country and the Tories should give more to the poor and tax the rich more to undermine Corbyn.

Its funny how lefties pounce on the littlest things on the right while they have sensational scandals left unsaid on their own side.

How come nobody is talking about Bill Clinton's many trips with Prince Andrew to Child Rape Island?
    Inconvenient I suppose.

Scroll down and contrast Cruz's platform to Bernie Sanders and the other candidates.

Cruz will take the US back 100 years. He will outlaw abortion. He will remove Federal Gov. oversight from Education and Environment. He will disband the Board of Education, the EPA, and send America to war.

Cruz: “What's good for America is good for the world”

I can see why FAKE 'Americans' like YB support the likes of Trump and Cruz.

It's a great way to discredit real Americans.
