Brazil's President Dilma Rousseff resorted to the Supreme Court on Thursday in a last ditch attempt to avert a critical impeachment vote in Congress that could lead to her removal from office. Rousseff's attorney general, Jose Eduardo Cardozo, asked the top court for an injunction to suspend Sunday's Lower House vote until the full court can rule on what he called procedural flaws in the impeachment process. = NO Difference in economy
= MORE Sophistication in the modus operandi of corruption, money laundering, bribes
= LESS Powers to the investigators
= WORST days ahead for Brazil.
Gisela and I just spent some time in Rio buying some real estate and taking advantage of the great investment opportunities right now in that beautiful city. We are very optimistic that Brazil is getting on the track to recovery and indeed, have two meetings with American investment funds next week about some acquisitions in the oil and gas space at great prices.
Apr 15th, 2016 - 06:54 pm - Link - Report abuse 0These stupid petistas are really bad losers. Two months ago they asked the Supreme Court to establish the Congressional procedures for impeachment. They got what they wanted so they didn't complain. Now that a couple of the phases have been completed, following the Supreme Court's ruling down to a 't', and the result has been unfavourable for the fat cow, the idiot Attorney General is backtracking saying it's 'unfair', and that the proceedings have been full of flaws.....what a dimwit. And to top it, the fat cow now wants to delay the Sunday vote, claiming all sorts of crap. AGW, we won't need to listen to any more of her shit after Sunday night.
Apr 15th, 2016 - 07:00 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If she is ousted, the whole atmosphere in Brazil will change overnight, for the better.
@1 Skip
As for the Brasshole, he doesn't really know what he wants.....he has already contradicted himself several times of late, defending what only two months ago he was condemning, with all his looney rhetoric. He, along with the PT, will disappear...it's just a matter of time.
No.

But you are right, there are a lot of bargains to be had. Not because there is any recovery but becaweu they are broke. Hope the Americans are buying up big.

And Brasileiro
Poor thing you are. Pathetic Roussef can't even addressed the nation. Banned by the legislature and judiciary agreeing with each other.
How many days until Brazil's first female president is no more?
5 years 105 days in office and counting down.
We have more than a 'few' problems in Uruguay with 'No Money Pepe' spending all the money budgeted and more, followed by yet another bunch of Broad Fraud crooks (1.4M of Mujica's stinking poor tit-suckers can't be wrong :o( ) who have no idea of how to stop the raging inflation, extreme fuel prices due to ANCAP directors robbing us blind (including the Veep, ex-boss of ANCAP) and the utter collapse back to 2008 levels for 'industry'. I just wish we HAD a proper industry.
Apr 16th, 2016 - 11:03 am - Link - Report abuse 0But, the shenanigans of Roussef and her bunch of home made crooks does make me realize we could be even worse off!

A successful and wealthy Argentine businessman makes so many people envious. I wish it wasn't that way. It would be wonderful to enjoy success and wealth without seeing envy in all of those around you.

Apr 18th, 2016 - 05:52 pm - Link - Report abuse 0If you indeed were as wealthy as you would like to be, you wouldn't have the slightest interest in wasting your time to tell us about it....now, since you are a stupid pauper, who can only dream of what you'll never have, then I can understand you.
