St Helena reaches to the world: 21 May airport official opening with presence of Prince Edward

The Government of St Helena has announced that the official opening of the island's new airport is set to take place on 21 May 2016, in the presence of HRH The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex. For the British Overseas Territory island in mid Atlantic and with an only monthly sea link, the airport means a dream come true, and both the St Helena and UK governments hope that this will lead to eventual financial self-sustainability.     At these prices I don't think there will be rush of passengers. Have Ryanair or Easyjet not quoted for the route. Anyway, their £99.00 UK fares usually end up hundreds more if you want optional extras such as a seat !
